  1. That's me, Chris and Phil, BTW. ;)
  2. I've met them a total of three times. The first two times I was a "mere" fan after them in the city. It wasn't enough for me. So I made it me goal do work as hard as I could to meet them in a different setting. So last year I got hired to work at Rock in Rio - one of the biggest festivals in the world. This was before they had announced any bands, but I went for it and it was the best job I've ever had in my life. About three months into it I found out they booked Coldplay to play the day after my bday. The 10 months after that were pretty intense. I made sure everyone knew how special they were to me and how long I had been waiting for that. The day they performed I saw several crew members walking by me throughout the day. The moning of the day they performed, I actually went into their "common area" backstage. It was pretty crazy. I felt weird being there - I wasn't invited but there also wasn't anyone saying I couldn't be there - so I left after taking a glance. This is what happened later that day after they came in:
  3. It's not just one thing Rihanna said. It's all the stuff she said. This is all she had to say about this: These are just very stupid and meaningless things to say. And - I feel - don't fit in the Coldplay universe. But that's just me. :)
  4. I think stadium gigs have their ups and downs. I do understand what you mean, Rafael, when you say it's a deeper experiences. But when it comes to Coldplay, a band I've been so personally involved with, I'd rather see them in a more intimate level. But I still love their massive concerts. :)
  5. I know. I agree. It's just her acting weird.
  6. That part was ridiculous. Stop acting gangsta. It's not Coldplay stands for. BTW, I find men crossing legs extremely sexy. (6)
  7. Hi Su! :) I don't think that the band getting bigger is the reason their music is getting worse. For one, I DON'T think their sound is getting worse, I think it's getting better. (In that matter, I think they were their highest at AROBTTH, X&Y was a major step down, but they have been doing a great job with VLV and MX) What I hate reading as well, is how some fans think that they were lesser of a band because they have bigger audiences now. I understand some people may not like this album more like others (myself included), but blaming it on the band's "stadium" status is a very week argument.
  8. This isn't my favorite era, but I think it's a great step forward from X&Y. I think they were their best at AROBTTH, but I do understand that being greater - in the sense of the size of the show they put on - is a natural evolution, as much as I'd rather see them in a more intimate set up.
  9. Hey comicforce. I used one of your gif on my latest blog post. Don't worry, I linked! http://spraycansoul.net/princess-of-china-behind-the-scenes/
  10. Wait, it's private now? Can anyone watch it now? I can't. :(
  11. This is a great interview. I get the feeling Chris was really enjoying himself, it wasn't just a stupid Q&A session.
  12. I had to pause it a few times to see it. And yes, it is. I have very mixed feelings about this. I don't like Rihanna, and I hate her "I'm gangsta" attitude. But I think Chris looks amazing and I'm very much looking forward to seeing the end result.
  13. I love behind the stage things like this. That sketch of the stage is pretty amazing!
  14. Yup, it's from the Sarah Lee Photoshoot. Here it is the original file *photo removed by Moderator*

  19. Oh yeah, the vocals are the heart of the song. It's so beautifully sung by Chris it's hearbreaking.
  20. Wow, those look pretty awesome! Good job!
  21. Thanks guys. I didn't see any weapons in the attack last week. Last night, when my friends ran from them, they said one of the muggers had a backpack - who knows they had in it. My fear now is not getting robbed. If they get to me, I'll "happily" hand them everything I own. My fear is that, like Empily said, they got their pride hurt from not getting anything from me the first time. So who knows what they want now. I've alerted my employers, who then called the police. But there's only so much they can do. I wanted to stay at home today (it's a digital agency - everything we do here we can do from home and chat via skype), but they said it was preposterous - which I didn't think it was. They are basically saying "you live in a big city. you'll have to deal with this". I wasn't in love with them before. Now I'm seriously considering getting a new job. :(
  22. What scares me is that they know what we look like, they know where we work, they know what time we leave, and they might as well know where we take the bus. My dad is driving to and from work today. But that can't be permanent. He can't drive me there forever.
  23. Hey guys. I normally don't post here (on The Lounge) but I want to share something with you guys. I live in Rio, where I have been most of my life. I know most people think of it as a really dangerous city. I've lived here most of my life, taking public transportation, using my iPhone in the street, and I've been in any kind of danger at all. That changed last week. I work in a small street paralel to one of the biggest avenues in the city. I have to cross that avenue to take bus home. And last week (friday), after seeing a group of dodgy teenagers (I'd say 17-19) two days before, I decided to make that walk with a few coworkers when we leave work at 19h. Sure enough, last Friday, we were mugged. There were three of us, and three of them. They tried taking our stuff but we wouldn't let them. They ended up running away with nothing. I got scared. Because I had seen 10 of them in that area before - what if they came back in a larger group? What if I were alone? Last night (thursday night) I got a ride home. But when those friends of mine - who were with me when we first got mugged - were leaving the building (in the small street we work on, before reaching the large avenue) they saw 7 boys, who then realised it was them, and chased after my friends. They ran until they found a large group of people waiting for a bus and they (the muggers) left. So nothing happened to my friends - just the terrible experience. Now I'm really worried. They know the exact building were we work. We called the police, but they can walk us to the bus stop every night. What about when we arrive in the morning? Or when we leave for lunch in the afternoon? I'm scared and I don't there's anything I can do. Except not going to work at all, which I don't think it's a very realistic option. Sorry. I just had to talk to someone.
  24. Wow, that was incredibly sweet. How "she gets the two first places". He's a sweetheart.
  25. Wow, that's a great exemple of a highly sensationalised headline.
