1. They'll most probably update the post as soon as they play it.
2. My, that sounds rather beautiful now that I hear it in a more seemless context. It is without doubt a song from the new album.
3. Lady Lamb - After
4. So this just got posted by someone on instagram from Coldplay's soundcheck... https://t.co/hP7jCoigdv
5. I'm betting that we'll be getting more or less a repeat of the IH show, give or take a new song (if we're being optimistic) and a possible collab with someone else. Interesting how they're doing this a decade on from Live 8. BSS with Richard Ashcroft was probably the best live collab they've ever done. Doubt they'll ever beat that.
6. Not at all! I think that would be a decent idea. I actually wouldn't mind the fact that a massive chunk of their shows are pre-manipulated (i.e. use of backing tracks and generally little variation in setlists) if they mixed things up a bit. Throwing in AROBTTH one night, Square One and Amsterdam the next would make all the difference I feel.
7. Also, I know they put a lot into their shows but I really feel as though the level of musicianship has wavered in recent years. They'll probably keep going in the opposite direction, which is a shame because it makes them seem as though they're resting on their laurels.
8. I think it's a possibility, but much like Politik they've been playing it continuously for the best part of a decade. I wouldn't be sad to see that and In My Place dropped for the foreseeable future.
9. I don't think they'll be very adventurous this time round. Anyway, here's my bet: (New Song) Charlie Brown Clocks Magic Yellow True Love (New Song) God Put a Smile Upon Your Face Oceans Don't Panic [and or any other acoustic / slow tempo track] (New Song) Viva La Vida Paradise M.M.I.X. Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall [Encore] Fix You ASFOS (New Song)
10. I'm afraid whether we like it or not, that's what they have become.
11. To those posting massive excessively gargantuan setlists... I'm waging that future shows will resemble the MX formula (albeit a little shorter in length, i.e not exceeding 1hr30mins). For those wondering, we need only look at the iheart show if we want a glimpse of the latter third of the set (give or take an acoustic and or new song).
12. Yeah.. Perhaps try subtracting about half the number of songs you have there and it might seem vaguely realistic
13. Please, no. Anything but the hits they've already played at the IHeart, year after year.
14. From what I've seen the whole aesthetic is very much 'MX mk. 2'. Confirms that Ghost Stories was merely an interlude.
15. Bit of a 'so so' setlist. Also, it must be the first 'proper' gig they've played in ages. 'Proper' as in they can actually see the whites of people's eyes.
16. The greatest downfall in modern music = The Kings Of Leon.
17. This is pretty much it. Every second is planned before hand. They've been playing the same set for 9 months. Unbelievable when you think about it. I thought that Chris (by his own admission) and the band were meant to have taken a leaf out of Bruce's book. If so then why do they play shows timed to precise clockwork when he constantly varies his 3 hour plus shows every night?? Isn't that what he's legendary for??
18. That setlist is just embarrassing :embarrassed:
