  1. I stronly dislike the title Moment to Moment. Mining the Moon would be a bit better, but still not great. A Rush of Blood the Head is obviously their best album title, and we need another epic one like that.
  2. Thom Yorke is a genius. ...but so is Chris Martin. 'Nuff said.
  3. Something like this song...This song will be stuck in my head for a loooong time. :P [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7dL6xNZ1Wk&feature=related]YouTube - U2 Glastonbury New Song 2010 (Xiren Full Band Cover) - Music Video [HD][/ame]
  4. Still a Rush of Blood to the Head. Oh, and Amsterdam next.
  5. I have a feeling this is going to be a good year. Radiohead U2 Coldplay REM The Strokes Foo Fighters Elbow
  6. Wow. So because they're nice guys and friends, Coldplay are not a "healthy" group? :inquisitive: Contention is not a necessity, and it never has been. That is a very unfortunate stance that people today are taking on relationships of all kinds. Many claim that they can't help it, when really they're just too prideful to take the steps required to chage things. "People have to have something to talk about..." Freaking Liam. You're supposed to make music for the public, not material for gossip sessions and the overenthusiastic media.
  7. A Rush of Blood to the Head, always and forever.
  8. Frankly, this is a ridiculous comment. Sorry...but it kind of is. First of all, dark isn't necessarily defined by what the music sounds like (heavy metal, etc), but the themes presented within the music. A Rush of Blood to the Head is much darker than most shallow heavy metal albums...and it's not even that dark. Second...what does album cover have to do with anything? OK Computer by Radiohead has a white(ish) cover, and that's an extremely dark album. As for AROBTTH...the cover may be white, but that image on the front is super dark. Scary. It makes me think of someone dissolving alive. :uhoh:
  9. Hmm?? We're talking about the same album, right? :P Politik (first half) God Put a Smile Upon Your Face Daylight A Whisper A Rush of Blood to the Head I also interperet some darker themes in Clocks and Amsterdam. But that's just me. One of the darkest albums of all time? No. Sufficiently dark? Most definitely. :)
  10. Tough... :P Both are weak(er) points of AROBTTH (that's really not saying much considering the magnificence of the album), but because In My Place (while not hated) is overrated and A Whisper is quite underrated, I'll go for A Whisper. My AROBTTH; 1. A Rush of Blood to the Head 2. Politik 3. Clocks 4. Amsterdam 5. God Put a Smile Upon Your Face 6. The Scientist 7. Daylight 8. Warning Sign 9. In My Place 10. A Whisper 11. Green Eyes Also, Twisted Logic and X & Y are both phenomenal songs. Why the hate?
  11. I find Daylight (lyrically and musically) to be a very dark song. As for the list itself, it's not great. Even though it contains two of my favorite albums ever (A Rush of Blood to the Head & OK Computer), and a bunch of pretty good ones.

Meh, I wasn't a Coldplay fan yet during that era. I'm merely posting the latest Coldplay article (according to google).

  14. Double post...:3
  15. Honestly, Coldplay's music isn't really danci-able to me. It's fantastic, but none of it really gives me the urge to get up and move. For example, I can't think of a single song where Chris sings really...well...fast. The mood of Coldplay is kind of mellow and slow, even with their more upbeat songs like Lovers in Japan and Viva. The Killers...now, THAT'S dance rock.
  16. That's why I like it. The lyrics to Green Eyes are WAAAY too typical-love-song-ish.
  17. Radiohead Coldplay U2 Muse Arcade Fire Honerable Mentions: The Killers, Oasis, The Beatles, The White Stripes
  18. I assume you hate them because they're commercial? That's really not fair. Maybe there's a reason they are so popular...they're good songs. Musically, I can't find a bone to pick with any of them (other than the Clocks/Speed of Sound similarity). Just because something is commercial...that doesn't make it bad.
  19. Amazing. 'Nuff said. Merry christmas! :D
  20. Oh yeah...least favorites. Here it goes... 1. We Never Change - Just...so...boring. 2. For You - Also boring. Musically speaking, the chorus is quite inventive, but...yeah. 3. Only Superstition - I can appreciate the complexity of this guitar part, but the tone of Jonny's guitar makes me want to SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - 4. High Speed - For all I know, it might be good...but I can never make it through the song without falling asleep. 5. Sleeping Sun - Repetitive. As a side note...I can't BELIEVE how much hate there is for Easy to Please. It's one of their most creative tracks, in my opinion. Also one of their most Radiohead-esque...but to be compared to Radiohead is basically an honor. :3 To each his own, though.
  21. Green Eyes is one of the most straightforward Coldplay songs in existence. It's a straight-up love ballad. Can't get simpler.
  22. Did you seriously just diss Yellow AND Strawberry Swing IN THE SAME FREAKING POST!!??! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
