  1. I realize I’m on a Coldplay board and everything, but…well… Arcade Fire > Coldplay
  2. I thought we were talking about Roadie #42 Blogs. Meh, I'll sink back into the shadows now...:embarrassed:
  3. Isn't every one about LP5? :smug:
  4. I wouldn't mind the title "Mnemonics." Anything else just seems like overkill though.
  5. I disagree because the verses - I turn the music up I got my records on I shut the world outside until the lights come on & Maybe the streets alight Maybe the trees are gone I feel my heart start beating to my favorite song - have the exact same syllabic rhythm. I guarantee that these two at least are part of the same song.
  6. A few things. 1. This bass riff reminds me of Mr. Brightside. :P 2. I am willing to bet (quite a bit) that the new title is not Mnemonics and Murals. Heck, just because of some dude's post on Youtube...He's just speculating like the rest of us. The chances that that poster had inside info are basically zero. Also, it doesn't sound Coldplay-ish.
  7. No way they're going to show it on my tiny Hawaiian island. :(
  8. Coldplay should pull a Radiohead and make an announcement saying that they're going to release the single tomorrow, and then be all like, "nah, just kidding. We'll release it a day early...like, RIGHT NOW."
  9. The Scientist isn't "epic," persay, but the ending is still amazing. That said, the following songs can be described as having epic endings (although some of them are simply epic all the way through) Politik Amsterdam Death and All His Friends - The most epic thing Coldplay have ever done! Fix You - The second most epic thing Coldplay has ever done! Lovers in Japan Twisted Logic Everything's Not Lost White Shadows - (See it break on your Horiiiiiiiiiizon!!!) :D Life in Technicolor (ii) Glass of Water Lost (The ooooooh bit) Viva la Vida Cemeteries of London How You See the World #2 - This one has a fantastic, crunchy ending Pour Me - The outro for this one is...I can't even put it into words. :stunned: Square One
  10. Listening to this while I wait. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhN7SG-H-3k&feature=related]YouTube - ‪Yiruma - River Flows in You‬‏[/ame] :3
  11. Ladies and gentlemen, I think we just got our chorus. :D Anyway, besides the "on my knees" cliche, the lyrics are looking much, much better now. :)
  12. ^I agree 100%. This new video is awesome, but the lyrics still worry me. Hopefully, the rest will be better.
  13. Rap, yes. Techno/electronic? No. If Coldplay pulled a Radiohead and went electronic, and did it well...wow. That would make my decade. I love electronic music. Animal Collective all the way.
  14. A Rush of Blood to the Head. As usual. ;)
  15. I disagree about them not being generic. They aren't in the sense that you suggested, but there's really no depth to them, as far as I can tell. So you love music, you hate the beginning of the school week, and you're gonna dance until you can't anymore...seems rather generic to me. Maybe they'll be better in a broader context. Either way, I'm still PUMPED for the new single! Anyway, does anyone else think that Coldplay might start taking a leaf out of Win Butler (Arcade Fire)'s book and jam the word "kids" into every other sentence? :laugh3:
  16. Some people already do.
  17. Honestly, I found the the instrumental Famous Old Painters...well...bland. :(
  18. I know that, I'm not that behind. :laugh3: But we can't judge an instrumental of a song compared to full versions of other songs. It just doesn't work, especially if your making a claim like that.
  19. So will I, but I meant that I'm not to optimistic about the quality of the song...despite what others in this forum have said, good lyrics ARE essential to a really good song, and...well... :\
