Xyloto... Anyone?
I don't think that melody will be on the album in any form, I think they're just experimenting with what they can do with an xylophone. This experimenting may have eventually became the melody on MX.

The Tracklisting
http://www.coldplaying.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=7352&theme=Printer This isn't the one I was thinking of, but he mentions the name here in the same interview as where he mentions ETIAW, which as we know was eventually released. It's also interesting to see that the first ETIAW was called 'terrible' by Will and Guy, so to all those out there who hate ETIAW (myself included), it could have been even worse.

The Tracklisting
I don't understand why anybody would think Princess of China will be left off. Chris has said it's an important song in a few interviews and it recently popped up in Phil's tweet. I think it's got as much chance as Charlie Brown being on the album.

Miley Cyrus and Guy Berryman going out?
Wow, as if anybody actually thought this was real anyway... <_<

MYLO XYLOTO = ZYLO MYLOTO (see this picture) = Under 1 Roof in an unknown language
I think that's the the work of an EMI employee who got the album title wrong. If it was the band themselves I don't think they'd do something as obvious as naming an image Zylo Myloto, especially since most email providers block images as a default setting and show the image name instead.

What Are You Most Excited About in the MX Era?
Definitely the album, more specifically I'm interested in what they do in regards to the story within the album. I'm also hoping that their live shows don't get sold out in like 5 minutes again. I've never been able to see the band live because there are never any tickets available :(

The Tracklisting
I just had a random thought in regards to the tracklisting. In every live performance of Us Against The World the final chord gets played over and over again after the song finishes. In my opinion in sounds pretty stupid but I think in the studio version that chord will be a transition into the next song which will start with that same chord. I have a feeling that if they want to create an album that's designed to be listened to in one go, most of the songs will transition into each other to create the impression that it's one whole piece of music.

What score will Pitchfork give Coldplay?
^I should hope so. Arcade Fire are fantastic.

Following EP?
Haha that would be cool, but the tracks would be uploaded to YouTube for everybody to hear as soon as somebody found the CD so it would sort of defeat the object. Then there's the fact that graffiti is illegal almost everywhere. I think any extra material will be released as b-sides rather than an EP this time around, although there may be very little extra material. Chris said they'll only finish 13 songs, which may mean there'll only be 13 recorded songs to come out of this era.

Chris Martin: Mylo Xyloto is based on a love story
I don't think they'll go down the EP route this time. if they have any extra songs to release I think they'll release them as b-sides like they did during X&Y and AROBTTH.

Chris Martin: Mylo Xyloto is based on a love story
This. When it comes to albums, less is more.

The whole space theme deleted?
We don't even know if Golden Arrow is a song title. It's not registered on the PRS or anything. You're right about UFO though, I haven't seen it anywhere for a while.

Chris Martin: Mylo Xyloto is based on a love story
I think they'll meet (almost) halfway and do 11 songs. I'm glad to hear they're still doing an album based on a story, I've always been a fan of concept albums.

LP6: You heard it first
A Greatest Hits really is a strong possibility. As soon as Radiohead left EMI, EMI released a greatest hits album without their permission to cash in one last time on Radiohead's material. Now we know Coldplay are leaving EMI so they'll probably do the same. Like Radiohead, I don't think Coldplay would be happy about it, especially since Coldplay are known to dislike the concept of making people buy their material more than once. Also, in Extras Chris seems to be taking the piss out of the idea of a Greatest Hits album.

The Tracklisting
It's all to do with the spacing of the letters... ;)

I'm bleeding from my face because I don't think this album title is very good.
You're one of the best posters on here. You speak a lot of sense.

Just What Does "Mylo Xyloto" Mean?
Judging by the Oracle's answer, the band have actually put a decent amount of thought into naming the album and it isn't just a random title. Bear in mind they've had this title in mind for 2 years or so.
-
Will Hurts Like Heaven make it to the album???
I assume she means if it's left off the album, there'll be a reason for it and she's hinting that the album is so good that you'll completely forget about HLH if it isn't on there.

Up In Flames (written by Joe Satriani) :)
If the Coldplay Up In Flames has any resemblence to Satriani's one I'm sure he'll try and sue. I don't blame the guy, he's got to earn money somehow considering his music is incredibly boring and nobody buys it.

Am I the only one who disagrees with the MX promotion?
At least the album versions of the songs will sound quite fresh. I don't know about anybody else, but when I first heard Major Minus in it's studio form it felt new even though we've heard it live before.

What score will Pitchfork give Coldplay?
Yep, their news coverage is some of the best around. I just can't take the majority of their reviews seriously. It seems to me that they're more interested in page views than giving honest reviews. Controversial reviews are just another trick to rake in the page views.
