Anyone else worried about the length?
It's not just about the length, the thickness matters too.

Up with the birds - a duet with Leonard Cohen?
On the PRS it says there are samples featured in the song, but it doesn't say where the samples are from. Leonard Cohen is credited as a writer on the song so we assume the samples are from one of his songs. Similar to how Peter Allen was credited on ETIAW because of the sample. In the past Chris has said that he wanted the song to be a duet. By duet he may mean that it features vocals from an existing song.

Anyone else worried about the length?
Actually it was Major Minus that was registered to have a length of 3:30. Mylo Xyloto doesn't have a registered length.

Guess the Paradise - Tracklist (B Side )
I think Tomorrow and Great Expectations will appear as b-sides at some point. Maybe not on Paradise but I think we'll hear them eventually.

A Hopeful Transmission
I can imagine there being a lot of synths and sound effects in this one.

Anyone else worried about the length?
Yes, I'm a little worried about it, especially since it's designed to be listened to in one go. What some people don't understand is that cramming an album full of songs makes it more likely for the album to fall apart. It's almost always better to keep the album concise and focused. It's a shame they didn't release the track times along with the tracklisting but I think some of those songs are short songs with lyrics or short instrumentals.

Official Tracklist!!!
Nope, there's 14 symbols for 14 songs. The CK is for Us Against The World. I think 14 might be too many. 15 songs is just ridiculous.

Abstaining from new material until album release?
It's likely that Coldplay will play Don't Let It Break Your Heart, Up In Flames and Paradise at the next festival concert. There's no way I'll be able to overcome the temptation to listen to them, particularly Up In Flames after what we've heard about it. That means I'll have heard 10 of the 14 songs on the album if MX is just an instrumental. I also have a feeling that one of the unheard songs is a short instrumental. There's no way they'd have another huge album like X&Y so they'll have a few shorter songs to keep the running time down.

no "coloured" title
Ahah a bit embarrassing there. But I have no idea why anyone thought Golden Arrow was a title anyway. It was just 2 words written on a wall.
- What does it mean? M.M.I.X

Official Tracklist!!!
Oh dear, 14 songs? I guess Chris won out and got what he wanted. I hope it's not too long like X&Y. The only surprise on the tracklist is MMIX, which is Roman Numerals for 2009. The rest we already knew the titles of. Now we can finally stop all those silly tracklisting threads. Disappointed to see ETIAW on there but if there's a new mix and it works well in the context of the album I might change my mind about the song and learn to like it.

Paradise and 9/11
OH MY GOD! COLDPLAY ARE RELEASING A SONG A DAY AFTER 9/11???? OH NO HOW AWFUL. DON'T THEY HAVE ANY RESPECT? Seriously, topic creator. Grow up. Not everything revolves around 9/11. Yes it was awful and everything but why do some people insist on bringing it up at every possible opportunity?

DLIBYH
Actually DLIBYH isn't an abbreviation, it's actually the song name. You pronounce it Dlib-Yuh.

Us Against The World Cover
You did a very good job on this, the actual music track sounds exactly like I imagine it will in the studio version. There's a bit too much reverb on the harmonies for my liking but like I said, you did a very good job.

Roadie Update!!! - Up in Flames and DLIBYH make the cut
Chris was playing the piano in the image that was released on Twitter of the band playing Up In Flames and now R42 is talking about how simple and beautiful it is. I have a feeling Up In Flames will be my favourite song on the album and it'll sound like The Scientist or Amsterdam which happen to be my 2 favourite songs by Coldplay. Maybe the album won't be so crap after all. Also, this DLBYH thing confirms that just because a song isn't registered on ASCAP or whatever, it doesn't mean that it won't make the album. Just something to think about. Maybe the whole thing about the track being 'life affirming' could mean it'll be the final track and it'll replace ETIAW. Maybe not, but I can hope. It seems to be a happy song which would fit in with what the band have said about wanting a happy ending to the album.

HURTS LIKE HEAVEN COVER :D
I really enjoyed that, well done. I wouldn't like it if Coldplay did their version like that with all that autotuning, but I actually like this.

Favorite Unheard Song
Yep, the B-sides were actually much better than the album itself.

Disappointment
I think that any disappointment that I experience will come from the songs themselves. I don't care if the artwork or song titles are crap as long as the music is good. That being said, I've been disappointed with 2 of the 3 songs Coldplay have officially released in studio form from the MX era so maybe it's a bad sign. Especially since those 2 songs I don't like (ETIAW and to a lesser extent Major Minus) are probably on the album and the only song I did like (Moving to Mars) will probably be left off. Honestly I'm not expecting anything as good as A Rush of Blood to the Head or even Viva La Vida so if Mylo Xyloto is crap I suppose I won't be as disappointed as I could be.

Will they majorly change the setlist for the actual tour?
I think it'll be very similar to the festival shows but with a few of the older songs swapped with a few more of the new songs from the album. Songs like The Scientist, Clocks, Yellow, Fix You and Viva La Vida will obviously be there. I have a feeling they'll be playing those 5 in every festival or tour show they do for the rest of their careers.

If You Had To Choose
From what I've heard, Princess of China seems like the more interesting song. Charlie Brown is a bit more mainstream and isn't as complex musically. I like them both though.

'Paradise' will be released a day earlier, according to DigitalSpy
Maybe they mean it will be released for radio play on the 11th. For now I think we should just go with what the official announcement has told us.

Will "Nappies" make its way on Mylo Xyloto?
I think it is very likely to make the album. The band have clearly put a lot of work into the song so there's no way they'll leave it off. Just listen to that bassline, it's the best bassline Coldplay have ever had.

Okay, so I'm back with an original song. Don't kill me.
This song has great potential. Just add a rhythm section (bass and drums) and record each instrument separately like splinercell37 said and you could have something really special. That way you can turn up the vocals or guitars separately and create a nice mix. Also, work out a lead guitar line rather than improvising to make the song sound more polished. When you've done the work on it make sure you post it back here. I'd really like to see it. :)

Backwards Piano cover of "Clocks"
Meh, I'll be impressed if he can play something a bit more challenging. Bohemian Rhapsody backwards would be awesome.
