  1. Pretty much!  Actually, I rather like 'A Whisper' and 'Yes' is pretty cool too  But . . . I really don't like 'Parachutes' (song) or 'High Speed'
  2. I really love the way 'Coldplay' looks :P I've always pictured it in my head as a picture of a blank concrete wall with *album title* and 'Coldplay' spray painted over it graffiti-style
  3. Or the fact that it is twisted logic that they never actually played Twisted Logic? 'Logic' doesn't look like a word anymore
  4. And things that cause a rush of blood to the head and things that you shouldn't forget when you jump out of planes and common letter variables used in mathmatics
  5. We're going to have to write Themes this year in English . . . guess what mine will be about :wink3:
  6. Why, hello there, Steve :dozey: Wow . . . we're getting really off topic with this :laugh4: So yes, I think LP5 will be up there with Viva and A Rush of Blood
  7. That's exactly what I'm going to do :smug:
  8. Especially that one! and Life In Technicolor -> Cemeteries Of London
  9. Why thank you, Taameen! I was feeling fangirlish and bored so I was like 'what the hey, I'll just draw Jonny until I think of something to do' :P
  10. ^ Those lyrics make me think that maybe the narrator isn't sure if he wants to fight his destiny, or just hide away and wait until it finds him. It brings to mind a fight-or-flight response sort of thing. I kinda like it :nice:
  11. ^ Indeed, I listen to it on repeat whenever I play it because I love how everything just fades out and starts again (kind of like the circle of life and death :nice: )
  12. Well yes, these are all just our opinions aren't they :nice: Variety is a good thing, but remember that it can be bad to have too much of it. Like if Coldplay had decided to make each song on Viva fit into a different category of music (for example, one rap song, one country song, one jazz song and so forth) then it would seem as though the songs hadn't been crafted to flow together on an album--rather, like they were just picked out of a hat and scrapbooked together. I do agree that Viva did this well--each song was unique but had just enough in common with the next song that it made the album tighter as a whole unit. I don't really think that variety = musical quality, but hey, as I said, just my opinion on things :)
  13. *shakes head* They never gave it a chance *pats Twisted Logic* There, there.
  14. This x 1000! Twisted Logic is almost as epic as Politik in some places! :awesome:
  15. Hey, I actually guessed correctly! :awesome: Congrats to the three winners!! :vuvuzela:
  16. ' Here's A Song For Hotel Lobbies' :laugh4:
  17. Oh wow. I forgot how much I love The Dubliners :wacky:
  18. True. I was merely comparing the quality of the songs, though--not their composition and style and so forth. :nice: A Rush of Blood had: Clocks, The Scientist, Politik, Amsterdam, and A Rush of Blood to the Head Viva had: Violet Hill, Cemeteries Of London, DaaHF, Viva La Vida, and (even though it wasn't included on the main album) Prospekt's March
  19. I'm kinda starting to think that also. I liked Viva (the song) until it went global and everyone started going crazy over it. It was the one Coldplay song my friends actually listened to, so I was hearing it a lot. Eventually, I just got tired of it and it dropped down on my list of favorites :P But, based on the live-crowd reaction to Charlie Brown, I think we have another Yellow on our hands.
  20. Agreed. I remember someone on YouTube mentioning that it sounded a lot like 'Dancing In The Dark' so maybe it was a tribute song of sorts? As far as I know, I don't think any Viva-era songs (Don Quixote, Famous Old Painters, Lukas, The Dubliners, etc) will be seen in the LP5 era
  21. Agreed. Viva got reasonably close, but didn't quite get there. I'm thinking that LP5 will be somewhere between Viva and ARoBttH
  22. Whoa, you would expect them to play Viva or Yellow or something  Was that ever a radio-friendly song?
