  2. I mean, a lot of us joined the forums before those two albums were released. I joined because of Viva (which wound up becoming my favorite album of all time), and, because I loved Viva so much I stuck around for MX because I wanted to see the guys "do it again." The same thing applies with GS and now AHFoD. I don't particularly care for either MX or GS, but the hope that the guys will someday come around and release another of my future-favorite albums makes me stick around. And you can be a fan of someone and not necessarily like everything they put out  EDIT: Ronnie ninja'd me
  3. What's this about spinning keyboards?
  4. Good morning everyone! Looks like I haven't missed a whole lot since last night. I'm excited to see if we get any leaks today :awesome:
  5. Okay, everyone's gif game is on point today  Also, remember guys! These are just some unofficial photos--we probably won't get anything solid (e.g. an actual song/video/news) for another couple of days at least. Hyping is fun, but let's not be too disappointed if there aren't any more developments from Camp Coldplay for a little while :nice:
  6. What part is disappointing? The aesthetic similarity to MX?
  7. Don't say that! If I get any more excited I'm going to literally explode :P
  8. omg the accuracy of that image tho
  9. I was going to check Coldplaying really quick when I got out of class, then start on the mountains of homework I have . . . that's not gonna happen anymore :P
  10. So this basically confirms that we're getting a single around the two festival dates, as a lot of us thought. Wrap up & edit the video in a weekish and either drop the new song live, or release it just before/after their performance
  11. Makes sense since the band is apparently in India
  12. Coldplay > education It is known
  13. I also just opened Facebook and had a literal heart attack when I saw Coldplay had posted, but it's just about their performance at the ParaOlypmics :P
  14. *gets out of class* *opens Coldplaying* *incoherent screaming* If their first single has an Indian vibe I'm gonna die :wacky:
  15. We get one photo with some *possible* artwork that *may* be related to AHFOD and this thread explodes  Coldplay pls, we're analyzing paint on the wall
  16. I was thinking the same! It looks a little too similar to MX's style for it to be for AHFOD, but since we can only see a tiny part of it, the full thing may be a little more unique. Maybe the splotchy colorfulness gradually transitions into more geometric colorfulness? :P
  17. I would be okay with this (except maybe the Miracles part) :P In fact, if Coldplay is going in a happy, dancey direction, DLIBYH and Rainy Day are probably two of the few "happy" songs I wouldn't mind them emulating
  18. ^^ Add Yes to that list also :P Now that I think about it, most of my favorite songs are Coldplay's darkest (ARoBttH, Violet Hill, Yes, Twisted Logic, Swallowed in the Sea, Animals, Murder) :P
  19. Really? I've never heard that before  In that case, why haven't we gotten Bloodless Revolution :bigcry:
  20. :wink3: I was just going to point that out! They can have one final push to get rid of any merchandise from their previous era and then turn around and reveal merchandise sporting their new artwork and themes.
  21. Give us the pseudo-classical album, Coldplay; you know it's inevitable
  22. Really, any sort of symbol such as an X or smiley face would kind of be an awful choice, as they've probably been used a dozen times over by various artists throughout the years. Plus, you know, just slapping a symbol on seems kind of lazy. And we couldn't speculate about its meaning :P
  23. Great info. Some really big names dropping albums this year (although I've never heard of Little Mix :P ). Some of them might give Coldplay a run for their money, Adele most notably. The Oct. 30th date works pretty well if Coldplay does indeed give us a single around the time of their two gigs later this month. With that in mind, I think that if we don't hear anything new at iHeart or Global Citizen, that probably means we aren't getting anything until early next year. Although Coldplay could outsell most of not all of those names on that list, I doubt they want any more competition than necessary. September is our month, Coldplayers; let's see how it goes :nice:
  24. Maybe they'll play new songs at the festivals . . . songs that don't wind up on the album like they used to do during the Parachutes-X&Y eras (and even a little in the Viva era with The Dubliners and Don Quixote/Spanish Rain). Wishful thinking? Probably :awesome:
