  1. I think we can basically 100% say that Gone But Not F. Cotton won't be on AHFoD since it was exclusively written as a goodbye tribute/gift to Ferne Cotton. Wish I Was Here was written for a movie with the same title, so it's out too. Both of them are really beautiful songs, though--WIWH actually has one of my favorite lyrical phrases of any song ever: "Say goodbye to my Hyde side Saw some Jekyll appear" :wacky:
  2. I know! Piecing together the ETiaW is one of my favorite memories from the forum :wacky: And same here--I was worried we might get more MX or GS-like lyrics on this album, but so far these are really, really good
  3. Okay so I had a thought about the lyrics. We've been putting them as "Nothing's too broken to find a way A dream that died by light of day It's/Is/Has a fool's gold/goal chamber/thunder you And change you, want to . . ." What if the line breaks in a different spot: "Nothing's too broken to find a way A dream that died by light of day Is a fool's goal Chamber you and change you Want to . . ." If we break up the lyrics like that, it has a much better flow and makes more sense. Of course, it also depends on which of the iffy lyrics (chamber and thunder, gold and goal, etc.) wind up being the right ones, but for now this way looks like it might work. What do you guys think?
  4. Every Monday is one Monday closer
  5. https://instagram.com/p/72S6-FxroX/ That pic shows the lyrics pretty well, although it doesn't really reveal anything we haven't already deciphered. "Chamber" does look more like "thunder" in this one, although that doesn't make any sense
  6. The guys would be like 130 years old at that point
  7. ^ Indeed. My favorite period by far in the album release cycle is the point when we start to get a little bit of information and just start speculating wildly. It's so much fun because there are so many possibilities and everyone is devoted to deciphering this one clue that's driving us all nuts. It happened with the running man/lyric pieces during the MX era and the Midnight gif in the GS era and now it's starting again! There's such a sense of community, and I just love it :wacky:
  8. Whoa, I think you and getitthom have got something good going here. The peacock meshes really well with all the colorfulness we've seen so far. So the cover could be something like a peacock with its tail feathers fanned out, and the color wheel incorporated into the tail? Or the entire background of the cover could be the color wheel and the peacock is represented in the negative space? Or, to incorporate the third element of design that we've seen (the triangles), the whole cover could have a very geometric look, with the peacock composed of dozens of little colored triangles. I'm just spitballing here because I think all of this connects together rather well :P
  9. "Nothing's too broken to find a way back a dream that died by light of day It's a fool's gold chamber You can change what you want to wanna breathe breathe breathe ___" I think it was another thread that we decided "thunder" was actually "chamber," but good catch, atlas! I'm liking these lyrics so far, even if they don't wind up being from the same song (and oh please God don't let these go the way of the lyrics on the MX album cover . . . they were so good but never used :bigcry: ) Can we just start calling this song "Breathe" like we called ETiaW "Trapezes" after we got that first line of lyrics? :P
  10. Well, that second/third word looks like it could be "a"
  11. ^ Well that's interesting . . . It also makes no sense with what we have so far, so I have no idea what the rest of that line could be
  12. It looks to me like it says "it's a fool's gold" or "it's a fool's goal" "Fool's gold" is an actual expression, but "fool's goal" makes more sense in this context I suppose?
  13. Same! This is a great theory and makes a lot of sense
  14. So, new theory that just popped into my head: The standard color wheel/rainbow is made up of seven colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet). This is Coldplay's seventh album. I don't think each album correlates to a color necessarily, but I do think that's a nice reference to AHFoD being a completion of something. It also backs up the theory that lots of people have that this album will be an amalgamation of all their previous ones, as the artwork symbolizes the amalgamation of the standard visible colors. I understand that some people wouldn't like a color wheel-type art theme as it may be too "simple," but I think it would be rather cool. Although I'd like it more if they did something other than just the simple wheel :P
  15. Wow I love this :wacky: Also, remember before we start (continue) to rail on the guys too much . . . they never actually teased or promised anything! Yes, they were spotted in India for their music video shoot or whatever it was, but they haven't confirmed anything yet at this point. All the hype and disappointment is on us--we got too excited and got our expectations too high. Granted, there were some hints that we might get something new (new stage setup, clothing, timing of the festival, etc.), but I don't blame the guys one bit for choosing not to play anything new last night. For one, the crowd was pretty awful reacting to even Viva, Paradise, and ASFoS--no way the atmosphere was going to be good for a completely unheard-before song! I'm just glad that we got to see them out performing again, and with the advent of the new clothing and stage setup, we're one step closer to getting some real news for this era
  16. ANYONE WHO HAS A LAGGY STREAM, HERE'S THE AUDIO ONLY ONE http://www.iheart.com/live/iheartradio-music-festival-15-5158/
  17. noo don't do this stream, you were doing so well letting me listen to things that I don't care about don't lag now!!
  18. omg stop talking NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE THINGS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT GERROFF THE STAGE
  19. We're too hyped up on adrenaline to be reasonable at this point. I can only imagine what's going to happen if Coldplay doesn't give us anything new
  20. Some country music singer. People in my area of the country love him, but I can't stand him (or country music in general)
  21. They're still talking about Kenny Chesney, you're good :P
  22. I will never understand the appeal of country music. Get, Kenny Chesney, go on *shoos*
