  1. Porto Alegre was filled with Aussies and Dutch people, last night was amazing with everyone toguether at the "cidade baixa" neighbourhood (known for it's nightlife), anyway, I just had to talk about this because it was damn special!
  2. ^ YES, my guess is that it is a video they didn't like that much and preffered to do another one (like the Tokyo scenes on the live CB video)
  3. I like it, it's not the best video ever but the important is that it fits the song really well, it has that summer feeling and "unconditional love" concept. Mat Whitecross never disappoints me (excpet for Paradise, hate the elephants)
  4. ^ HAHA, yeah, it's me indeed
  5. When they showed tha animaton it was pretty clear, but none of the camera angles they showed on the satadium really seamed like the whole ball was in, so we just assumed the animation was wrong
  6. So I was at France x Honduras, the match itself wasn't that good, but the whole world cup experience is great, lots of french people saying things I have no idea. There were some indian guys by my side, people form honduras, germans, loved it! And I still have the "allez les bleus" chant in my head
  7. ^ Porto Alegre esgotou bem rápido também, tive sorte!
  8. The Spain x Netherlands game was EPIC I'm going to France X Honduras on sunday, really excited to see some world cup games in my city :D
  9. Actually I think A Sky Full Of Stars is probably getting a video before a 3rd single is out, still
  10. ^ could it be the third single?
  11. My really late review, sorry: 1 - The Killers' When You Were Young, great starter, love this song, so much energy on it. One of Brandon's best vocal performances. 2 - Strokes, I really don't remeber the name of this song, but I had totally forgot how good this is. 3 - Ok, this is a song I don't know. Has this surf music, summer feel, the guitar made me think of Vampire Weekend, fun song, not great, not bad either, I bit repetitve though. 4 - Now that's a change of sound, weird song, has those paced brass and organ as the main instruments leading the song. It's at the same time dark and fun, a cool soundtrack for family adams. 5 - Pop beat and some indie rock guitars at the start, bright sounding, catchy song, finded myself nodding my head halfway through it, I guess that's good. 6 - Delicated guitars and a heartbeating kind of drumming on the begining, it eventually becomes a march on the chorous and then goes back to the heartbeat. Pretty guitar solo on the middle of it, the lyrics keep talking about beeing set free, it's a simple song, but a bit hypnotizing. It ends just as it started without going many places, still a nice song. 7 - Fast guitars and drumming on this one, something you could hear on a indie rock kind of party, gives you this willing of jumping arround. I bit generic, not really special. 8 - Really eletronic, on a retro kind of way, love these cheap synths and beat, really 80s. I actually think I know this, isn't it from a solo album by Julian Casablancas? The bridge near the end is great, such a well crafted pop song. It ends kind of suddenly though, not sure if it really should be that way or the archive is just cutted. 9 - Whatever the reason was for the sudden end, the maker was cleaver tu put a Day In The Life here, the beggining of it really worked with the end of the previous track. Well not much to talk about A Day In The Life, a classic, epic song. 10 - Bad Religion, my favourite song by Frank Oceam, the recording is just so full of pain, the lyrics are great, the production too, great song. 11 -Starts with Honky Tonky pianos and then goes into a pop rock ballad . It's has a nice a melody specially when he says "am I just a fool". It's not a bad track, but it feels a bit too cheesy for me. There's a guitar solo near the end which I don't like at all, and the end of the song is just ridiculous with a group singing of the line "feeling that way" which feels like taken of a radio jingle. 12 - Nice, slow song, I like this guy's deep voice along with this high pitched piano, works really well. The bass line is cool too. It's not a really great melody, but his voice is so cool that I don't even care, the record is great, specially on the verses. It does turn out to be a little bit too long, but it's not that much of a problem. 13 - Pretty sure this is The Black Keys. The hook is great, I like it, even though I'm not really found of the vocals. It ends just in time, leaves an impression and doesn't start to get boring, a good track. 14 - LOVE THIS, the guitar line is great, his delicate vocals work really well, I feel like running to it. Feels inspired by U2's Where The Streets Have No Name, but much more upbeat. 15 - Feels a bit french inspired with the accordion, it's a cool song, not really special but quite different, I like it. 16 - Accordion again, this one I like more though, are those xylophones? I think I know this voice, is it Beirut? If it is, thanks, it's been ages I don't listen to them. 17 - Nice guitar line, I think I know this song for some reason, maybe I'm just crazy. It's a quite danceble track, I like the female backing vocals. Overall I really liked it, I was a bit affraid at the begining because I knew some of the songs, but in the end you introduced me to some quite great stuff. My favourites were track 8 and 14.
  12. Bumping this to show you my music :P, it's in portuguese but I guess everyone can enjoy songs without knowing the lyrics this is a new song, but there others on the page https://soundcloud.com/faelduarte/pra-tentar-entender
  13. ^ I think everyone agrees Ghost Stories is just a great big "meeeeh", there's nothing really special about ir, while Mylo Xyloto had stronger songs, which made people hate it or love it, there's no in between for it.
  14. I'll be posting my review this week, I'M SORRY TO MY MAKER, didn't realise how busy I would be
  15. LOVE YOUR REVIEW I NEED TO SEE THEM GOD I WANNA HUG YOU
  16. Actually Keane's record is 5/5 because the Night Train EP is also counted
  17. ^ I agree, I do like the song, but it makes no sense on the album, could have been one of the bonus tracks
  18. actually, Paradise took ages to really take off, it only became a hit after MX was alredy out, by the time of the release it was in the middle of the UK top 40, kinda like Magic
  19. I actually find Mylo Xyloto much more interesting then Ghost Stories

  22. Fix You and God Put A Smile Upon Your Face need a rest, They could play Speed Of Sound and Amsterdam instead. Don't get me wrong, I love those songs, but they have been played since they were released.
