Does anyone have the full setlist from this show? I was there and I was trying to keep track but i got a wee bit distracted and taken over by the experience of it all. I'd love to have the full setlist though so I can make a playlist :)

They need to turn the outro into a song because that was so great and so much better than anything they've done on the new album

I thought his reaction was extremely professional and perfect. It made me so mad because I was at a friend's house and this guy was sitting at the table behind me and he said "Wow, he doesn't even know the words. I hate it when I'm so good that I can't remember my own lyrics." and he said real snarky too. I ripped that kid to shreds. I loved it.

I agree so much, the vocals didn't sit well with me at first. I 100% agree with the comment about the life in techincolour ii distortion. I felt that the instrumentation in this song was wonderful, however they went over the top with the vocal distortions. I fell in love with Coldplay because of Chris's voice, I don't want it hidden! Jonny's part is brilliant, and I LOVE that they have Will singing. The one thing I've noticed most about the new songs is that (to me at least) the lyrics haven't been as great as they have been in the past, I think that's what bothers me most about the whole "New Era" thing.

I'm a huge huge HUGE fan of theirs, don't get me wrong, but how the hell did they manage to mangle this in the studio? This whole New Era thing is totally and completely not them. It's like a completely different band. Listen to songs from Viva, and then this. It's not the same guys. I don't like this. They need to go back to their parachutes days. New Era is not okay with me :( The live version is so great too. Coldplay what are you doing?

My thoughts EXACTLY when I read them. To me, the lyrics sound like a reject track from X&Y that got a slight facelift and is being released. I also feel like this ETIAW release is going to be like Prospeckt's March. Not exactly a b-side but a mini album.

I found Speed of Sound and Talk sitting in the used CD section of a music store, you'll be surprised what you can find and where. I would love to have physical copies of all the X&Y era b-sides.

I don't know if anyone still reads these, but I have 8 (Parachutes, AROBTTH, X&Y, Speed of Sound, Talk, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, Prospeckt's March, Live 2003) physical CDs of theirs, but I own almost all of their singles via iTunes. :D Oh and ETIAW has been ordered so I'm almost up to 9

My thought is that the song is about Chris's life now that he's a rock star. Sure he got his dream, but the major minus to is is that he's always being watched. If he says the wrong thing the major minus media reports it. "One eye watching you, and one eye on what you do so be careful who t is you're talking to" if he's seen talking to another woman suddenly the tabloids are saying he's cheating on his wife. Ya know? The media always throws things out of proportion. I really feel like this song is about the downside of fame. "so be careful cause nothing they say is true" again with the tabloids blowing things completely out of the water. I could be completely wrong though haha

That's true, I really don't like ETIAW but we have to take the good with the bad. It's too... entertaining. Not as musical as their old stuff. **fingers crossed that LP5 has more songs like MM and HLH**

I disagree, I think their pre-parachutes and between parachutes and AROBTTH are the best. For You? That song cannot be beat. :)

I could not agree more! Their B-sides are just so amazing. I usually feel like they should have taken the B-sides and made that the album. MAYBE it's a b-side because it just doesn't fit right with the other songs because it's so good?

Is it only available to people in the UK?

I could be wrong, but he's been using the rebel theme a lot so I feel like it says "Streets and Cars and a Pavement of Saints, And now the Streets are rising and the rebel sings, Don't let em take control, No we wont let em take control" just a thought, I'm not positive though
