  1. Thanks guys. Yeah, And go you Reagan. Engineering is a ridiculously compensated field these days. You all make me feel dumb.
  2. That's not a bad way to learn either. If you end up playing what you want to play in the end, what does it matter which method was used to learn it?
  3. Figured you guys would appreciate this. This is my Coldplay shrine.
  4. I'm jealous, I wish I could read sheets, I've gotten much better with hearing stuff since I've started, but I've never been able to play an entire song just from ear like some can. That blows my mind.
  5. Do you learn everything by ear?
  6. it's been a few years for sure. 5-6 at least I think before he started making bigger dollars. It's always about experience. And yeah, thanks man, that's exactly what it's like. We college students are used to be institutionalized, and once you're out of that, you don't really know how to act or what to do. I feel like "Red" from the Shawshank Redemption.
  7. I am a really fresh graduate. I literally finished my internship and cap-stone course back at the start of March. I don't even have my degree framed yet, it's still sitting in the envelope it came in, in my closet. lol.
  8. Well he didn't get it right out of college, he's a little bit older than me. He's worked up to that but he didn't do too bad out of school either. And no, unfortunately. I haven't applied to a TON, but I have applied to more than a few that really are up my alley. Not sure how to handle it tbh, don't know if I should be applying to everything under the sun, or if I should stick to what I could really do well with, which is what makes more sense to me -- might just take longer to find a job. I currently am already employed in the health care field, but I am looking for career advancement.
  9. You picked a good major. I have a buddy who works in IT down on the East Coast of Florida for a financial company, and makes north of $100k/yr with a bachelors degree in comp. science. I'm sure the maths will be a bit difficult (they would be for me), but anything worthwhile in life is never easy. And yeah, health care. Good memory. lol.
  10. Yeah was going to say, school doesn't normally get out that early for grades k-12. Figured you were in college -- what's your major?
  11. Anybody who feels like answering I guess.
  12. Wasn't a bad day. I can't complain.
  13. Good afternoon, Lounge.
  14. It didn't take long for the conspiracy theories to come out, did it?
  15. This. I can't cry to music. I never have.
  16. in reference to Ink, with all of Chris' "do do do do" parts in it lol.
  17. I swear you've ruined that song for me, forever. lol.
  18. First official ear worm of GS goes to "True Love"
  19. http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/9309201/Merc-to-test-megaphone-exhaust Mercedes going to test a new exhaust in Barcelona that emits more sound. I'm not going to lie, I miss the whiney noise of the V8s.
  20. You're welcome. I don't think you can use that on your resume though haha. "PLEASE, I act older than I am!"
  21. I am in agreement with you completely. I didn't find Viva to be a massive impact on me. It's not a bad album by any means, but I don't see how GS can't compete with it. For whatever it's worth, I think GS is already miles ahead of MX, but that will bring this discussion vastly off topic lol. This is a really good album.
