  1. Agree that Atlas isn't a cake walk musically. If Atlas is simple, what does that make Clocks, which is considered a Coldplay masterpiece? I think criticism of music and what makes it good or bad is silly. It really comes down to two things -- did you like the sound, and did you like the message? What does it matter if the chords aren't on the level of Chopin's most complex pieces, or that the lyrics aren't the most cunning a poet can write? Painstakingly analyzing music kills music completely. It's amazing how people take something so subjective and then try to apply objectivity to it. Let it go.
  2. I want coldplay to be around as long as they don't begin to burnout like some bands do and simply turn out junk after awhile. Now I don't think this will ever happen because I think Chris and the boys are very self-aware. They will know when it is time. I don't think it is any time soon.
  3. Not a clue, but the fact that it is going to be streamed means we shouldn't have any problem getting the entire thing on this forum somehow.
  4. I'm excited for this. Should be a decent concert (117 mins) according to the BBC 2 radio website. http://www.bbc.co.uk/events/ec3wrz
  5. I think this is a fairly good point. These guys aren't in their early/mid twenties anymore. I think Coldplay as a band has aged incredibly, incredibly well. With that in mind, it's still a bit ridiculous to think that they can keep the level of endurance they had 7+ years ago. I think you nailed, it actually. This is likely the amount of songs they can present in their best possible form at this point in their careers. Just in terms of Chris's voice and his frequent use of falsetto, I couldn't imagine how tiring it is to sing like that for an hour + straight.
  6. Christmas Lights [video=youtube;OQpI5MKJFcs] Fix You [video=youtube;8_FC7fXhIqM]
  7. The Scientist [video=youtube;v6WHIkUWl9M] ASFOS [video=youtube;6jGBE4moMm4] Just what I found from Youtube so far.
  8. That's so cool Patrik. Must be living the dream man, to be playing with friends Coldplay songs. I could only dream to be able to do that. What's it like?
  9. Happy birthday! A humble thank you for all you did and have done to keep Coldplaying the best fan forum for this band on Earth.
  10. I thought the interviewer was meh, he almost seemed kind of scared to just talk to Chris. He was tripping all over himself and seemingly not even really was processing what he himself was saying, and you kind of got this feeling Chris was like "Dude, just chill out, this isn't THAT big of a deal" haha -- then again, to Chris that little performance wasn't. IF I were the interviewer, I would have trouble acting like everything was cool too, lol.
  11. Ugh, you guys are so fast. I work slowly lol.
  12. bumpity bump -- does anybody plan on recording this for us? :O
  13. Ever since I heard ASFOS album version I was always hoping for a Chris Martin piano solo of the song!
  14. Man... that pic makes me so jealous. So jealous.
  15. I've weird dreams lately that I've been back in public school. Needless to say, I wake up in a funk.
  16. Agreed. I have it as well. Patrik, if you got close, was wondering if you could share your settings for the KAWAI Ex Pro VST?
  17. I'm speechless. There's nothing more unnerving than going a page back and reading the very words of someone who is no longer with us. So, so sad.
  18. I hate mass of humanities so the mall isn't a nice place for me
  19. No need to be nervous Reagan, you're going to be accepted.
  20. And well there is no really trying I don't think haha, once you sign the papers I believe it's pretty much sealed for the term in the papers.
