  1. CCII, wonderful album. Especially in the winter.
  2. I doubt they'd advertise a b-side like they are at these huge festivals, their label wouldn't like it. These songs are going on the album, ETIAW is the only slightly questionable track. In terms of the new songs: hooray! A little bitter about the itunes exclusive digital bundle bullshit given I JUST ordered a physical copy... I wish they would do like Flying Lotus and have the webcam-photo-recognizing thing to get access to those songs.
  3. Footnotes - James Blake
  4. 1. MX 2. Hurts Like Heaven 3. Great Expectations 4. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall 5. Major Minus 6. DLIBYH 7. Tomorrow/Car Kids 8. Charlie Brown 9. Us Against The World 10. Princess Of China 11. Up In Flames 12. It Was A Wonderful Day Revised a little bit. They said 10-11 in the interview, MX being an intro.

  6. I loved Far so much! What has this woman been up to lately? She should be putting out next year... at least I hope.
  7. Yes! The Oracle has confirmed it's just their arrangement of the set! PoC is good to go :D
  8. David Bowie vs. Tom Waits
  9. The Who vs. The Doors
  10. I highly doubt any of these new songs would be cut from the album. ETIAW, well I don't know... :/
  11. Jesus, I never saw that. I thought someone just brought it up one way because they liked the way it sounded... I guess it'd be a good album title.
  12. I know, me neither. I love Arcade Fire a whole lot and I enjoyed The Suburbs, but that argument is bound to happen. I mean, there is the whole siting Funeral as an inspiration for Viva La Vida and then going to record LP5 in an abandoned north-London church... The accusations are ridiculous. That said, I haven't been too fond of Arcade Fire as of late. While I enjoy their music, "midwest tour" =/= three Chicago dates and an Indiana date in the worst possible venue.
  13. Agreed! He's one of my hugest influences, I really look up to that man... If you like Soft Power then you'll love Presidental Suite. I'd make a thread for him but I don't know if anyone else here has much of an interest in his work...
  14. Lyrically, it's similar to the subject matter of the album.
  15. I'm awaiting the accusations once Charlie Brown gets released. Headlines on everything: "Coldplay's plague of plagiarism strikes again: soiling the blessed name of the best Arcade Fire album!" I mean jesus christ, Cartoon Heart was on the wall back when the band was still shut up in their studio recording The Suburbs... I mean, the title track was written in 2008 but I don't think Win Butler just HAD to tell Chris Martin about it once it came out and give him enough time to copy it. I just think it's ridiculous how people shit on Coldplay's reputation, they're not a bad band... :(
  16. If I had any say in this, Princess Of China would be one of the singles. :) Of course we're going to get Charlie Brown and Hurts Like Heaven, but I would mind them both being pressed on vinyl and backed by some extra stuff... that'd be good. Double-A-side would even be great too.
  17. I love The King Of Limbs, it's very good. I just can't find myself listening to it in the summer... My favorites off of it are Bloom and Codex. These Are My Twisted Words is great too, I'm glad they released that.
  18. Solo Piano, lolololol. Well you can get Ivory Tower too, and then there's The Unspeakable (world's first chamber rap). And there's Soft Power, too! He has a few others too (Uber Alles, The Entertainist) that are straight-up rap/spoken word/mess of things, but it's actually pretty good. It's actually really funny, especially if you read about his life then it'll make more sense. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=py8i3UOSZUU]YouTube - ‪Gonzales - Higher Than You‬‏[/ame] Soft Power and Presidental Suite are poppy and rappy still. Really good stuff, one of my favorite music videos of all time. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7pESuX9E24]YouTube - ‪Gonzales - Take Me To Broadway‬‏[/ame] Solo Piano is the only album he doesn't rap/sing in, it's all his piano work. He's IMO one of the best pianists out there today, he's performed with Drake at the Junos and he's on his new single. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnKQhX3V2vo&feature=related]YouTube - ‪GONZALES / Manifesto‬‏[/ame] And then there's recent years where he's worked on Ivory Tower for his film of the same name and The Unspeakable, world's first chamber rap album. Ivory Tower is like Solo Piano, and there are two or three songs where he raps. It's very good. 19. God, I love Absolution so much.
  20. I really love all of Gonzales stuff from the bits and pieces I've heard from his albums. It's just that they're all available in Germany and the UK, I want to get them but I'm in the US and it makes my life more difficult.
  21. I know, I just picked it up a couple weeks ago. As much as I love the live songs, I really liked Chilly Gonzales' piano versions of those four songs. Especially his renditions of Intuition and The Water.
  22. She should be putting out a new album soon, she's been working with Chilly Gonzales in Paris as-of-late. She played a new song last year! :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_qToJybFiE]YouTube - ‪Feist - He Was Free‬‏[/ame] And then she has two unreleased that might be taken into consideration... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJIvI-QStAs]YouTube - ‪Feist - Phantoms‬‏[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5RVwxzB_O8]YouTube - ‪Feist - Anti-Pioneer‬‏[/ame]
  23. It'd be interesting marketing if they gave us a song a day for the tracklist.
  24. I would absolutely love to read Atlas Shrugged, but I'm stuck reading The Grapes Of Wrath this summer. :(
  25. I still have my doubts. viva la august release
