  1. I finally got a chance to hear the whole album today and despite the mixed reviews it's receiving on this forum I really dig The Second Law:D A lot of great cuts in there I think, but I haven't been a Muse song as long as a lot of the people in this thread so I guess that may be a reason why my views are different. Edit: Oops yeah fan not song. Thanks Wyrd. Probably that dang auto spell....
  2. Yay! Welcome to the world Jessica! Congrats you two!:D
  3. Nice! Have you seen the Tim Burton Pokemon?
  4. Are we talking about the psychology behind the album Tommy here? If so I would like to get in on the conversation....
  5. ^Oh my God that's the best thing ever! You should totally send that to them. I can just see Chris laughing at it! He'd be all "MWA HA HA! YOU WILL NEVER GET CAR KIDS!!!!"
  6. Does anyone on here have a reall cockney accent? That would be awesome! I wish I had a cockney accent....
  7. Maybe they'll talk about Glastonbury in an interview/backstage part and then show clips from it
  8. Interesting they cut out the half the c stage. Like will they show Chris running through the crowd after where Sos was? That's a really exciting part of the concert. You'd think they'd want to keep it all in. I'm sure they have their reasons though.
  9. I was just thinking that If I ever saw any of you face to face it would be weird because your faces wouldn't look like your avatars and a bunch of you probably have accents.
  10. So I have a question. One says live CD/DVD and the other is live DVD/CD. Is the difference just the box?
  11. Awesome! Looks like there's gonna be a lot of backstage stuff which I'm really excited for as I loved the tour dairy in 2003:D
  12. Woah!:lol:I've never seen that picture and had no idea Jonny's beard ever got that thick! Jonny needs to go back to the beard/mustache look I think:nod: ...Well maybe not that hardcore, but I liked the Victorian era mustache he used to have....
  13. Who's to say that means physical image? It shows people have a connection with God. Take from it what you will but God is also represented as a dove, a flame, a pillar of light, etc. I'm not saying he's not a beaded guy, for all I know he is, but he can be whatever he needs to be to get people to understand.
  14. I think religions are a good way for people for have similar beliefs to help each other grow and keep the faith. I'm not saying you have to have one but you can't say they aren't good for some people. Lots of good things have come from them.
  15. No man. I never said God was a person. That's just a way so people can understand. Any priest or rabbi will tell you that. No ones ever seen him and people will be met by different incarnations of him depending on what they can relate too. Tell me one place in the Bible or Quran where it says one country is better than another. That's politics using religion for violence. Don't know if you ever read much of the bible or anything but there are whole chapter on trying to get different cultures to get along.
  16. As a bass player myself I must say that his bass lines on X&Y in particular are more complex than you would think. Even if he doesn't nessisarilly play a lot of notes he takes a melodic approach similar to the way Paul McCartney does. Those for me are the hardest bass lines to master and they work with Coldplay's music. Someone like Flea, while a great bassist, wouldn't sound right on a song like Fix You. The chemistry of Coldlpay is built around Guy's technique and it's grown that way for so long now it wouldn't work without him.
  17. I don't think that's true. I think there are many ways to God, and it's different for everyone. No one way is better than the other as long as you get there in the end. Some paths are just faster for certain people. So while it may seem to complicate things for some, for other it makes perfect sense. It's all dependent on what works for that particular individual I think.
  18. This is a great story! I'm so glad it turned out so well!:D
  19. I think it's hard to put logic on religion because unlike most things it doesn't really worry about that. That always complicates these kind of debates I think:shrug: Edit: yeah what Abracadabra said.
  20. I've never been but I do know people who have and apparently in a lot of places you need to boil all your water because it's contaminated. You'd need to check the exact places but some of that water can get you really sick/die.
  21. I think you know my religious views so I'm just gonna be straight out with it. I believe that there are certain things that are not meant to be explained. While science may back itself up, for me that doesn't cut it. I think science is all well and good, but to me, it's a human creation. Everything is based in theories which humans themselves have created. To get this across think of it like time. We measure time with 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in and hour, 24 hours in a day, and so on. All that works on paper, but who's to say that is the way it works? Somewhere out in space time may be measured completely differently by some alien species. By all human knowledge life is carbon based, but for all we know somewhere out there there are creatures made of some element we've never even heard of. What I'm getting at is that we're very very small. We don't have all the answers. To many that's sort of a scary thought I think. For me, I think there is so much out there we don't know. Different planes of existence we can't even dream of. To me that points towards God. In a world full of questions it feels right. While it's impossible to prove God's there I don't feel like I need to. To me that's a big part of faith. When you don't have to see or have logic to believe something. For me, that is when something feels "right". I'm sure a lot of people feel differently, but this is me, putting my understanding of it all into a paragraph of mumbled text. If you don't like it, don't bother to try to change it cause you will not succeed. I will not hesitate to delete this post if I feel an argument is arising. I don't want to have a big seminar with anyone. You asked why I believed so there it is. I hope it gives a unique point of view:)
  22. I don't think that's a bad thing. He's "the quite one". He balances it out with Chris's craziness (which is why I assume they didn't like each other at first).
  23. Now's their time to make their own record label. They've got the beehive and the bakery already so they don't need to worry about facilities, and they're definitely popular enough to finance something like that. I think it could open a lot of creative opportunities and they could even sign/produce people if they had there own label (Which would be really good for Guy)!
  24. If anyone knows how, we should try to get an interview with one of the members. I've seen fansites do that before but maybe the boys are too big/busy to do that sort of thing. Plus a lot of the anwsers are probably "top secret". I think I read one with Noel Gallagher once on one of the Oasis fansites. I guess we could give it a try. What do we have to lose:shrug:
