  1. I've never cared for Harry Potter (Sorry!) but I dig sci fi. I love newer sci fi, like Prometheus and stuff, but my big thing is that cheesy 50s stuff. Anything with time travel and aliens really! :D Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek...I like all the stereotypically nerdy stuff.
  2. I've just noticed I've been on Coldplay for over a year. It feels like longer than that. So many good times:D
  3. Viva La Vida. It's perfect.:)
  4. In the way they divided the fanbases. Plus, both made use of drum machines and other stuff like that. Things that aren't usually used on Rock songs (though both bands have been pushing boundries for their whole careers). They have completely different sounds but radiohead fans are saying "They're getting too electronic. Go back to The Bends era" and Coldplay fans are saying "They're getting too poppy. Go back to A Rush of Blood To The Head era".
  5. ^I actually think The King of Limbs was pretty controversial and thus, their equivalent of MX
  6. Yay!! Happy birthday A Rush Of Blood To The Head!!:D
  7. AND FROM THE DEPTHS I EMERGE!! Hello
  8. I feel bad people haven't even reviewed yet. If you want me to do one just PM me or something.
  9. ^Not irrelevant at all. If music wasn't shared it would soon cease to exist.
  10. The Scientist single on CD and Love Interruption on vinyl:D
  11. Whoops, meant single sorry. Got EPs on the brain I guess....CARKIDS!
  12. I just found, and bought, The Scientist EP for $3.99 at my local record store!:D SCORE!!
  13. Hello! The site editors (over in our super secret lair) have been discussing adding some pages to Wikicoldplay for the sometimes overlooked people who make everything possible for Coldplay's tours, albums and videos. Below is a list of people who we think should have their own page. If you have useful information on any of these people or have additional names you think should have a page on Wikicoldplay please post them in this thread. Some of the names listed below already have a page on Wikicoldplay, but even those lack the information needed. So if you have any useful information we would all be very grateful to hear from you :) Here is the list we've put together so far: Hoppy http://wikicoldplay.com/Hoppy Bash Matt Miller Franksy/Andy Franks Arlene Moon Rik Simpson http://wikicoldplay.com/Rik_Simpson Dan Green http://wikicoldplay.com/Dan_Green Dan Keeling http://wikicoldplay.com/Dan_Keeling Trainer Dan http://wikicoldplay.com/Dan_the_trainer Anchorman http://wikicoldplay.com/Anchorman Jason Regler http://www.wikicoldplay.com/Jason_Regler Dave Holmes (& 3D Management) Jo Whiley Phil Harvey http://wikicoldplay.com/Phil_Harvey Debs Wild Matt McGinn http://wikicoldplay.com/Matt_McGinn Mat Whitecross http://wikicoldplay.com/Mat_Whitecross Vicki Taylor Davide Rossi Paris http://wikicoldplay.com/Paris Marguerite Nguyen http://wikicoldplay.com/Marguerite_Nguyen Brian Eno http://wikicoldplay.com/Brian_Eno Shynola http://wikicoldplay.com/Shynola
  14. I'm not gonna read through this whole thread but to anwser the original question yes, I do like it more. I know alot of people don't like it as much but it just fits my musical tastes. It's like Coldplay at their atherical space rock finest. I love it and I don't wanna hear anyone tell me I can't! People say it's too long but for me it's one of the albums I've listened to all the way through most. It has such a cohesive feel to me. This album had an effect on me and I absolutley love it.:D There is more emotion in that album for me then I can even start to explain. I hope one day Chris will ignore the press and realize what a great album it is.
  15. I listen to a lot of music of all genres, but I, perhaps obviously, don't like any of that radio pop stuff. When I tell people what kind of music I listen to they say I'm stupid for not liking Lil Wayne or top 40 peolpe or whatever. I used to, politely, try to introduce people to bands like Coldplay and be like "Well, even though we don't like the same music maybe you'll like this band" but every time I did that they'd would just insult me and would never take me up on my offer. So now I've gotten to the point where I don't even try to share musical interests with people. I've found a few people who like a lot of the same music as me, and even though we disagree on some points, we can all respect eachother's point of view. There are so many different sounds. I mean, every band has a different sound. Different influences for different members, different genres. I understand that some people may really like Justin Bieber. Why should I care? The way I see it, people can like whatever they want as long as they let others like what they want. People like us will just have to dig deeper for bands that will interest us. When my dad was my age all the kids were listening to disco, but he went down to differnt parts of the city and found punk. There's stuff out there for every one, it's just sometimes hard to find. Consider Coldplay your entering point. Dig deeper in that direction and you'll realize there are alot of bands out there to enjoy:) /pointlessrant:P
  16. By the way, everyone thinks Chris is BSing saying Madness is his favorite. Why can't it be. Everyone hates Undisclosed Disires but it's one of, if not my favorite, Muse song. Let people like what they want. How does what Chris's favorite Muse song is have anything to do with you?
  17. THIS! I'm so sick of people thinking rude = cool. Chris is nice to everyone because he knows lots of people have different musical tastes. I'm sure he doesn't want to insult any fans either, which may happen if he went around trashing other bands. Besides, if a beiber fan heard Chris hating on beiber that fan may never give Coldplay a chance because that may turn them off of listening to the band.

Yes! Finally Freaky Teeth! I'll be getting this for sure!:D I also like that we now know what came before the "AKA"s in What A Life and Broken Arrow
  19. I'd like to play some music with them. You know, a jam session, maybe write a few numbers. That, for me, would be a dream come true :D
  20. I want to just be human. I have no alliances however. I travel these empty planes in search of those who are persecuted by the armies of the witch king!!
  21. Count me in!
  22. Gnocchi is the best! There's nothing else that tastes quite like it (I think cause of the potatoes). And you're right, it fills you up so easily! Yum Yum!:D
  23. Tomorrow I will be taking part in my first ever game of Dungeons and Dragons. So yeah that should be interesting. Me and my friends thought it would be fun if only because it's so iconically nerdy:D
