  1. Bacon. I'm sure Ron Swanson would agree.
  2. That'd be cool! It was no where big, some place down in Northern VA. Unfortunatlly I don't know the name of the place (hadn't been there before). It was like a Rec Center or something, but people were eating while we played. Nice audience though, they quited down when we came on.
  3. Noel used to be a big druggy, and he was pretty bad for a while their (telling Blur to get aids:stunned:) but since he's been off the stuff he's become super chill and super cool IMO. Also seems to me he's found God.
  4. Ooh I can't wait to hear it!:D. I heard rumors but this verifies them! So how do we get it? Will record stores carry it? The random mixed part is what confuses me.
  5. I agree, this is always a good idea. I couldn't get one together, but the crowd usually won't know your song and you can't mess it up if it's your own song. They have nothing to compare it to either. They'll think anything you play is how it's supposed to be!
  6. It went really well! Turns out I was performing with another vocalist and had to do songs we both knew (we only had like 3 hours to get the whole thing together.) I had a lot of songs lined up, but in the end there was a confusion on the bill and our time was cut. We ended up doing a Beatles medley of I've Just Seen A Face, All Together Now, and Hide Your Love Away then led into stand by me by Ben E. King. I finished it off alone with a few bars of the Fleet Foxes Blue Spotted Tail. People seemed to really like it. Shame we didn't have more time. Thank you all for your suggestions, I think I'm gonna play some of them next time! Shame I couldn't fit them in this time around. My biggest problem with performing is choosing what to play! I actually played these last time I did one of these! They work very well on acoustic!
  7. I have a similar question. Does the vinyl Prospekts March include a CD/digital version?
  8. I'd like to hear it! Sounds like it could be cool!:)
  9. So apparentally I have a gig tonight that I was just told about 6pm yesterday. It's nothing major, just a coffee house type of thing, but I have NO IDEA what to play! I think I might have a drummer playing with me, but I'm not sure...I'm thinking about playing UATW, Oasis's Stand By Me, maybe foster the people's pumped up kicks or blue spotted tail by the fleet foxes. Possibly an acoustic version of Blur's Tender. In other words I have no clue! So, my question is what should I play? Songs should work well with or without drums, and I'll be on acoustic guitar. Any suggestions?
  10. My avatar is of The Doors. If you haven't check them out I'd recommend them. They have a really unique sound. Each one of them was raised on a different type of music and it all comes together in that signature Doors sound.
  11. Up in flames is one of my favorites. It's sparse, which I guess is why people think it is boring, but it's simplicity makes me love it all the more.
  12. Moonlife, you've posted 83 times today! That's pretty crazy, considering today is the first day I ever saw you on the forum. It's impressive to say the least!
  13. Glad to here that. I was kind of bummed out when I read he wasn't very nice, but I guess I can trust Jonny Greenwood. I think Thom is definetally in his own world though. Maybe that's why people think he's being cold?
  14. I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard Thom is very cold and unfriendly man. Of coarse I read this online and have never met the guy, so I have no clue if that is true....
  15. Daredevil is the name of a superhero who is blind, much like Stevie Wonder, who plays piano just like Chris.

^That's really cool, especially Freeky Teeth!
  17. Okay cool:). A peaceful compromise! Yeah, it's cool.
  18. ^your not gonna change what I think I'm sorry. I would appreciate it if we ended it here. I knew this would happen when I posted....Please do not reply to this. Edit: sorry that was for twisted politik! Though I guess it applies to Tnspieler as well. I don't want argue.
  19. Or that is just my honest opinion. I love the band, I just think most of there albums sound mostly the same....thats not nessisarilly a bad thing, they just p,ay it safe IMO.... I don't understand what this post means...
  20. Has anyone heard the French version of Blur's To The End. I think it's pretty classy!:)

It was a clip of Andy and Gem on a couch just playing guitars or something. I'd love to see that soundcheck you've got!
  22. ^yeah, Your Protector is great! Probally my personal favorite.:D
  23. This is a dangerous post. But before I post it keep in mind I have every radiohead album. I understand Chris likes radiohead and Coldplay's super early stuff has some radiohead influence, but people take it way to far saying they're just radiohead knock offs. In my opinion they sound nothing like them. This is where my post gets dangerous. All radioheads albums sound the same in my opinion, the exception maybe being Pablo Honey, but even that is quite similar to their other work. They rarely ever change their emotional territory, and all their songs have the same "feel". Yes, I like radiohead, but I don't see why they are regarded as "sophisticated" and so highly above other bands. For me a band needs to make a notable change from album to album to be truly great, and in my personal view radiohead doesn't do that. Yes, they're good but they're regarded as perfect by so many people on here. Other bands are allowed to make mistakes but oh, not radiohead! Sorry for the rant, it just something that really gets to me. I like radiohead but their hardcore fans kind of ruin them for me sometimes. Just my opinion don't bash me.
  24. I would love a Rubber Soul type album, and I also think every band has to release at least 1 double album....;)
  25. They are used to keep straypainted shoes on the bands' feet! Fungus
