  1. Good Morning America starts at 7a US eastern time. Of course like most tv programs, they'll keep feeding you little pieces of the main attraction (in this case Coldplay) until the end of the program at 9a. But it's my best morning program, so I'll be happy to watch the whole thing.
  2. I'm going crazy in my mind b/c I know I've seen this clip but somehow I can't find it anywhere. It was at the 2004 Grammys when Clocks won record of the year. Chris got up and I think someone who looks like Tinie Tempah shook his hand and gave him 1 of those shoulder hugs guys do, then Jonny holds his end out toward Chris. And you can see it in Chris' eyes going like, are you crazy? He pulls Jonny closer and gives him a kiss on the temple or the cheek. Sadly I just can't find that clip anywhere. Please help! This time I'll download it to my computer.
  3. Service not available in your area:( I hope the good boys and gals here can rip it for the rest of us.
  4. I'm definitely emailing Robin and George just in case. :)
  5. Channel 4’s Dispatches reveals collusion and potentially illegal practices within ticket resale business Fri, 24/02/2012 - 10:18 by Tim Chipping Last night we were planning to watch that thing about priests. We wish we had as our eventual choice – Channel 4’s Dispatches: The Great Ticket Scandal – made us so angry we couldn’t sleep. The programme alleged that so-called ticket resale sites such as Viagogo and Seatwave not only buy tickets themselves to resell at inflated prices but are given large allocations by concert promoters, meaning fans are left ticketless or forced to pay double, sometimes quadruple the price for the gig they want to see. We've frequently attempted to buy tickets for concerts which sell out in seconds (we don’t get them all for free, you know!) and long suspected these websites, which purport to be a way for fans to get rid of unwanted tickets, were in fact buying them themselves – nothing else could explain why, no matter how quick you were with the ‘buy’ button, the best seats had already gone. And that these websites were merely a more advanced and legalised form of touting. At least, we thought nothing else could explain it. Last night’s documentary showed film of Viagogo employees explaining how they receive large allocations of tickets from respected concert promoters, such as Live Nation and SJM, which they then offer for sale on their site, minutes after the event has sold out through conventional outlets. The tickets, as anyone who has visited these sites will know, are sold at vastly inflated prices – falsely advertised as being from members of the public. For Coldplay’s most recent tour, it was claimed that the promoters SJM and Metropolis Music allocated 1000 tickets for every date to Viagogo (and presumably similar sites) for resale at far and above face value – to a total of 9000 tickets. That promoter, it was claimed, then took 90% of the final sale price for themselves. Wait, what?! THEY ARE TOUTING TICKETS FOR THEIR OWN GIGS! And if you think this would surely be stamped down on by a regulatory body… oh you naïve fool. The Concert Promoters Association offered a statement claiming “resale” sites help stop ticket touting. Which is a bit like saying that buying your drugs from a posh house helps get rid of drug dealers. We don’t want any ticket touting. At all. We want all the tickets in the venue to be sold at face value plus an ACCEPTABLE booking fee, and for it to be made unlawful to resell tickets above face value + costs. And if the government and the music industry is prepared to turn a blind eye then we have to go direct to the artist, and ask... DEAR Chris Martin, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS? 6. Wooooohoooooo I've always wondered why they always go to NBC and never to ABC. I hope Robin interviews them.
  7. Gwyneth Paltrow Says Stella McCartney Has A "Ghetto" Side Spencer Cain By Spencer Cain February 23, 2012 11:30 am Gwyneth Paltrow Says Stella McCartney Has A Stella McCartney has always been one of the most fascinating faces in fashion. While today she is revered by nearly everyone, the road to the top hasn't been that easy for her -- mainly because, in many ways, she started out at the top. As the daughter of Paul McCartney (you may have heard of him), she received plenty of flack as a dumb heiress who could sort of draw. The truth is, though, she attended one of the top design schools in Britain and honed her skills. Obviously, some didn't agree. When she replaced a perpetually bitter Karl Lagerfeld as the head designer of Chloé when she was 25, he rudely quipped, "I think they should have taken a big name. They did, but in music, not fashion." Anyway, since then, she's seriously come into her own -- and she's become a hero of vegan fashionistas everywhere. Even though she's somewhat of an open book, there are still plenty of surprises according to longtime pal Gwyneth Paltrow. She told NYT: I've actually never seen someone go from such a free spirit to such a kind of beautifully conventional, hard-working life as a wife and mother. She was in full fun mode when I met her, and I just fell in love with her. She was shockingly honest. I always say there's this kind of hidden ghetto side to Stella. She's tough. She doesn't back down from someone who might have less to lose than her. Only Gwyneth Paltrow would say that a fellow rich white girl was ghetto, and that's why I love her. http://www.stylecaster.com/celebrity/19248/gwyneth-paltrow-says-stella-mccartney-has-ghetto-side
  8. I know that is not the Make Trade Fair that Oxfam and Coldplay advocate at all.
  9. Ok. I've died for a 2nd time and gone to fairyland with Coldplay winning Best Brit Group. Thx again Londoner.
  10. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr The lone time I broke down and installed it to watch X-Factor, I felt so dirty afterwards. I had pop-ups every time I opened a page. I hope I'm strong enough to wait until 8p to watch it on Fuse. What's a fan to do?

  12. I still don't get all the fuss about Warning Sign.
  13. ETIAW. I was way into Fix You when ETIAW was released I found it way too noisy. But then when I saw them perform it at Glastonbury, I came to like it.
  14. Oops! Wrong thread.
  15. I'm questioning their decision making here a bit. They should have taken advantage of the successful showing on X-Factor and released CB. Also the video took for ever to release. When we all expected them to play CB at the Grammys, they went with Paradise. I just don't follow the thinking at all. They almost always do no wrong in my eyes, but if they play Paradise at the Brits I'll be very disappointed.
  16. Coldplaying with fire COLDPLAY have been causing a nightmare for health and safety officers ahead of the Brits, and it's nothing to do with dangerous amounts of muesli on the rider. Chris Martin's band have ordered so many pyrotechnics for their opening set that officials were worried it would blow the O2's roof off. A source said: "It has been a logistical nightmare and for a long time organisers didn't think they'd be able to go ahead with the plans. People have been running around the arena with clipboards for weeks trying to sort it out." At least last year they only had to look into health and safety once, to investigate Take That and Plan B's matching sets. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/brits/4139973/Coldplay-worry-Brits-organisers-with-pyrotechnics.html
  17. you've become a cook just b/c Chris Martin's wife is.
  18. To tell you the truth I wish Coldplay had just played Fix You for the occasion. That would have brought the house down. Perhaps I should apply for a managerial position with Coldplay? I don't know who's making their decisions lately.
  19. I thought she looked dropdead gorgeous at the Grammys. Her hits are overplayed so that turns me off a bit but I absolutely love this performance of her and Darius Rucker [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWV2jq5Z8QE]CMT Awards - Darius Rucker feat. Adele singing "I Need You Now" HD - YouTube[/ame]
  20. You'd like this tweet as well. Mandisa is top ten American Idol constestant. She's since become a music reporter for some tv program and has been reporting from the Grammys for the past couple of years. This is what she tweeted during the Grammys. mandisaofficial Was so into Coldplay's performance that I almost missed that Gwyneth Paltrow was 20 feet from me screaming for her man! So for all our disappointment around here, the ultimate fangirl was on her feet, encouraging the boys. :)
  21. Makes perfect sense. 21 has been out for 13 months, so she's selling about 1.3 millions/month. MX 1million/month is very outstanding as well in this economy.
  22. Supposedly Chris and Gwyneth's Tribeca apartment http://ilovewildfox.com/iloveyouwildfox/2011/4/11/gwyneth-paltrows-apt-tribeca-dont-cry.html/?currentPage=2#comments This would explain it. Gwyneth Paltrow's interior design obsession By: Bang Showbiz Gwyneth Paltrow is "slightly obsessed with interior design". The 'Country Strong' actress - who lives in London with husband Chris Martin and children Apple, seven and Moses, five - recently took a trip to the Maison and Objet design show in Paris to look out for "beautiful things" for her home. Writing in her Goop newsletter, Gwyneth said: "A few weeks ago, I took a quick trip to Paris for the biannual Maison and Objet trade show that specializes in home goods and furniture. "I'm slightly obsessed with interior design and I'm always on the lookout for beautiful things that inspire me and are great for Goop.(sic)" However, once there, the Oscar-winning star admitted she was overawed by its size. She added: "Imagine each hall as being about the size of several football fields. Now imagine walking through eight of those!" Gwyneth has become well known for giving out lifestyle advice, and last year unveiled her first cookbook, 'My Father's Daughter', which was inspired by the food her dad Bruce had taught her to cook when she was younger. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/arts-and-life/entertainment/celebrities/gwyneth-paltrows-interior-design-obsession-139469333.html
  23. To be fair, 21 has been out way longer than MX. Plus 4 millions in barely 4 months is great. It sure will get another boost when they resume touring in April. I didn't think it would sell 10 millions, but it starts to look like a possibilty. That would be a huge success.
  24. Gwyneth Paltrow, Holly Williams Duet in the Works? Posted Feb 17th 2012 8:00AM by Beville Darden Think Gwyneth Paltrow has given up her country music dreams? Think again. The Oscar-winning actress had several record labels pursuing her after her stellar turn as an embattled country singer in 2011's 'Country Strong,' along with her four songs on the film's soundtrack. That's not to mention her lauded musical turn on the TV sitcom 'Glee,' along with live performances on the CMA, Grammy and Academy Awards broadcasts. But we haven't heard her sing a note beyond last year's musical ventures, and rumors of a full album have since silenced. That's not to say we won't hear Gwyneth on the country airwaves again soon. It seems she's teamed with another blond beauty, Holly Williams, for new music. "Early morning session with the brilliant harmonies of @GwynethPaltrow," tweeted Hank Jr.'s daughter on Thursday (Feb. 16). "Even at 8:30am she sounds like a bluegrass angel #wonderwoman" Holly's reps confirm with The Boot that the singer-songwriter is hard at work on her third studio album. But they are unable to tell us at this time whether this bluegrass-tinged tune with Gwyneth will appear on that project or on something else. This isn't the first time Holly and Gwyneth have harmonized. The country singer played guitar and sang background vocals during the actress' very first live television performance: the 2010 CMA Awards. And Holly was actually someone Gwyneth studied for her role in 'Country Strong.' "I was very much into Loretta Lynn and Dolly [Parton], and a lot of newer girls, too, like Miranda [Lambert], and [Hillary Scott] with Lady Antebellum, I love her voice. And Holly Williams' record, I love!" Gwyneth told The Boot of her country music education while prepping for the film. "I like that older style, soulful country. When you can hear the pain in the woman's voice, those are the women that I really connected with." http://www.theboot.com/2012/02/17/gwyneth-paltrow-holly-williams-duet/
