The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
I reckon they'll open with Supremacy. Madness and Survival are guaranteed, Unsustainable is fairly likely seeing as it's the only other new song people know. I'm hoping that they will also play Animals and Liquid State, since those are apparently the two heaviest songs on the record. There's a rumour that they've been rehearsing rare b-sides too, but knowing Muse that probably means Nishe and Popcorn.

Gig in Cologne. I assume they'll play at least a couple of new songs that aren't Madness or Survival.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
I don't think he was making fun of Coldplay specifically... more like he was joking about how some bands just pick seemingly random names for their albums without any particular meaning behind them.

LP6
 There are songs which manage to sound awesome even without all the "Oooohs" and "Aaaaaahs" such as Daylight, Glass of Water, Square One to name a few.

Seriously, I actually don't know whether to believe you or not

LP6
I think they need to have a balance of loud stadium songs like Charlie Brown, Viva, ETIAW etc and quieter songs on every album. It's the same for any artist. An album in which every song is an up-tempo rock anthem is just as boring as an album in which every song is a quiet acoustic song. They had the balance right on MX IMO, even if they haven't played UFO or UWTB live yet they still sound great on the album whereas they might not be so great live.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Shortly after my one year anniversary at coldplaying.com, I have finally reached 2000 posts :awesome:

ELIMINATION GAME BRACKET
Lisset, you have to remove one point from one song and add one point to the other song in each game. The points should add up to 20 in each game.

Doctor Who ???......
I noticed the Christmas List thing but not the flickering lights theme. Interesting. I guess it's leading up to the Christmas episode  edit: 2000th post :wacky:

What are you listening to?
Randomly listening to a poor quality recording of a concert from 13 years ago. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2A9gWQq2G8&feature=channel&list=UL]Blur - Live in Paris 15/9/1999 (Full Audio HQ) - YouTube[/ame]

Why did you join Coldplaying.com?
I'm not even sure how I ended up here :uhoh: it feels a bit like Inception! I know that I joined the day Paradise was released, but Paradise wasn't the reason I joined. I vaguely remember reading people's reactions to ETIAW, so I may have stalked for a bit before I actually joined, but I have no recollection of how I actually found the site in the first place...

Pop-Up Book Discoveries
Some of that stuff makes a lot more sense now that we know about the comics (Silencia, Aiko, Rex, Fly, "don't need the feed" etc.) also it looks like there is still a strong possibility of them releasing new songs with the comics judging by that "Mylo Xylo2" section. Though I hope that is a working title because that would be a terrible name for a CD  So the lyrics from the album cover are indeed from Golden Arrow, interesting... Major Minus originally had piano in the 2nd verse, UFO and AHT were originally piano songs. I like the description of Car Kids: "Classical heavy landscape song" "Will clumsy drumming claps" This makes me thing of Cemeteries of London for some reason. And now I have a feeling that the song they soundchecked on Ellen ([ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDXspO_ulsQ]Coldplay on Ellen (FULL INTERVIEW) - YouTube[/ame] @ 6:30) was the original version of AHT.

I hope this "Call Me Maybe" snippet is not an indication of Chris' current music tastes :\
