the thing with coldplay these days is that when things happen, it is overwhelming. but when they are on hiatus, nothing for months and months.

oh btw, regarding the birthday party performance, according to some articles, chris and the birthday girl has mutual friends and friends themselves. says that's how he came to do the performance. for example, in this. but still, he probably was compensated for the performance.

i think it is more to do with the freedom their separation brought. gwyneth was always somewhat vocal about their private life. think she has no problems talking about what she wants anymore since they are not married. think chris was/still is the more private person between them.

come on guys, read carefully. it's not the grammys, but the grammy tribute for Steve Wonder. coldplay have performed at these tribute quite a few times as a band. too bad it's just chris this time. and the tribute is 2 days after the actual grammys. does that mean coldplay won't perform at the grammys? because, if the whole band were to perform at the grammys, they would probably hang around for a couple of days and to the tribute instead of chris doing it alone. good news is we can see it this time on the 16th!

the thing is this, we can turn up our noses at these snooty, rich folk, just ignoring the music we love. but it is all for good causes. and when they raise money, great! and guess what, the chris martin solo performance at someone's house was snatched for $400,000!!!! that's crazy!
