hahaa! and why wouldn't you? have a "man crush" i mean. btw, i thought that chris might not have enough hair to rock curls any more, but gladly, looks like i was wrong :escaping: anyway, i like the curls, and he still is pretty adorable for a nearly 40 year old :wacky:

Random Coldplay thoughts...
that's from 2001 when coldplay started touring the US. it was a show in NY and a girl from the audience sang yellow.

no one. other than a couple of questionable quotes from a couple of questionable media outlets, it's nothing but all of us playing sherlock :)

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
moved album ranking posts from yesterday to thread: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/90277-Rank-Coldplay-s-albums any more discussions on this topic should happen there.

Rank Coldplay's albums
the thread is veering away from topic, but i had to reply to this. in all curiosity, what makes you think that pitchfork is such a qualified, objective establishment to rank an artist's work? remember the horrible (somewhat deserving) GS review it got? this is the ranking of all coldplay albums by the same guy that did the GS review for pitchfork.

Coldplay p4k-style, revised--Parachutes: 10.0 Rush: 8.1 X&Y: 5.6 Viva: 10.0 Prospekt's: 9.2 Mylo: 8.3 Ghost Stories: 5.3
— Larry Fitzmaurice (@lfitzmaurice) August 30, 2015
had he been working at pitchfork and reviewing these albums at the time, we would have gotten a completely different critical response to them. you can argue that it's hindsight, but all in all, a review from even a reputable music critic is nothing more than a subjective view of one person (and maybe the editor). so rely on your wits than looking for external sources like pitchfork to be the ultimate decider. btw, this guy doesn't work for pitchfork anymore. edit: agree with this quote. not sure why you were trying to make them very reliable before if this is your belief.

Amazing Day
for me the initial criticism was just because of this. amazing day is forgettable and sounds uninspired. if it ends up in lp7 (which seems highly likely unless it goes the way of MTM) it will be a deep cut like UIF.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
they (chris, guy, anjelina, brad) were seen going to the studio together. nothing's confirmed. actually a rep said at time that it was just a friendly meetup.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
the only other thing that comes to mind is bruce paltrow's the white shadows. anyway, seems like chris is dating someone else now.

under the hat, the curls are making a come back!

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
^ not a reliable source. even some of the most reputable music media wouldn't know of this arrangement coldplay has, although i remember chris talking about this at least in 2 separate interviews so far.
-
LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
true, but we are talking about an active, one of the current biggest touring artists.
-
LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
none of which are reliable or official. even now, coldplay are known as a band who split their money equally. this special split is only on song writing royalties. also i think song writing royalties is not where bands make their money now a days. to me this is nothing more than whining over a lot of assumptions. edit: diluted the post :)
-
LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
that is quite addictive. most radiohead members can basically form their own bands with lesser capable musicians and still be critically acclaimed. the amount of talent in that band is unparalleled in modern bands. the only band that i thought of writing that last sentence was arcade fire, but not quite.
-
LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
yep :) and the only reason that chris said that (only) the songwriting royalties is split favorably to him was after howard persistently implied that chris should be getting way more paid for being the songwriter in the band. and this was the first time i believe this discussion came up where he, or the band, didn't dismiss.
