  1. I reckon you had a 100x greater chance to get answered here. 7000 emails vs. 70 posts.
  2. You guys are not diplomatic. We have (or had if she really doesn't return) a chance to speak directly to Debs, give constructive criticism and/or abuse this rare opportunity to ask a question. All of your criticism and praising were pretty useless. We haven't gained anything, we only pissed her off. For example, constructive criticism would be - why doesn't the Oracle section have a SEARCH option? If it does, I'm sorry, but I can't find it. I only see tags. How do I know if a question I'm interested in hadn't been answered already? Do I have to go through years of questions to find it, because if I ask it again I probably won't be answered, would I? And I'd like to abuse this opportunity to ask about CAR KIDS if you're still reading this Debs. There are dozens of threads on this site about it and not a day goes by without people obsessing about it or being pissed of by it. People are curious about it because of the CK symbol on Chris' shirt and the big Car Kids graffiti on the MX wall. Is the vertical CK symbol actually just the Oxfam symbol or does it refer to the song? So please tell us everything you can (or are allowed to) about it. Is it a real finished song? Will we hear it during this era? Have you heard it, is it good?
  3. I prefer my U2 with a twist of Eno. The Unforgettable Fire is better than War to me and I actually think that War is kinda bland. It sounds like an "80s album", whereas albums after it don't have details that age them. I wouldn't call The Joshua Tree bland at all, I'd say it's mostly subdued with awesome outbursts of epicness... I'm in The Unforgettable Fire mood today. It's like an upbeat Joshua Tree...
  4. OK so I suck at math and that was a lie. I'll now go and pray for my soul. :shame:
  5. You're seducing the camera, aren't you? :charming: Oh damn you Latinos and your eyes like two lakes of chocolate... :D That's impressive photoshop work. Nothing suggests you're not in front of the actual MX wall. Now can you make yourself look like Jessica Alba with it?
  6. Not just #1 but they also sold twice as many albums/singles than #2. Well done! :nice:
  7. I thought that joke was funny. :D Some fans really do take it too far, don't they... :P Just to clarify, it wasn't me who called you useless. I've seen comments saying the Oracle's been useless lately. And complaining about relationship advice. I can refer you to the exact messages I saw yesterday, but let's not get into petty details. We all generally are very grateful that this service even exists. I don't know of any other band that has a similar indirect, but still very close fan-band contact. Coldplay members are really nice guys.
  8. It's a perfect album in it's category, which is pop/electro-rock with urban back-to-being a kid/teen themes. It's a midlife crisis album. :D And I hope it's just a phase. Though I'm glad it exists, they needed more upbeat songs. Chris Martin and I are still waiting for that Sgt. Pepper/Joshua Tree Coldplay album. Something really innovating and influential... MX is big fish in a little pond. A childish album like that can't be the best when compared to all music. But it is fantastic within it's own boundaries and I love it.
  9. Oh God, the Discotheque video... 80s porn stars and neon lights... :D I'm not going to listened to the first 3 albums yet. I'm still processing the 90s stuff. I suppose you became a fan during Pop? Is that the reason why you like it the most, or have "special feelings" about it? Like I do about Speed Of Sound and X&Y. It's the "original Coldplay" for me, since I was introduced to them during that album. My earliest memory of U2 is Elevation. I think that's the only reason why I prefer ATYCLB to HTDAAB. But the lines between those two albums are blurred for me now. You can listen to them seamlessly. How do you feel about those albums? Why did they loose the Album of the Year Grammy for the first one and won it for the second? (Well, other nominees also have to be considered, but I don't think that the album that ATYCLB lost to was better.) Also, I think that ATYCLB has the best songs on side A, with almost no surprises on side B, and HTDAAB is more evened out and better produced.
  10. I had a U2 epiphany. Became a fan in 2012. I thought they were overrated and cocky, now I just think they're GRAND. I'm replay-raping The Joshua Tree. :dazzled: It's amazing how timeless it is, it literally sounds like a 2012 album, it's incredible. The Unforgettable Fire/The Joshua Tree/Rattle And Hum is my favorite phase. So atmospheric and monumental. And I love All The Dismantled Atomic Bombs That You Can't Leave Behind. :D A.K.A. a combination of the two albums. 90s U2 i like the least, but I still like it. I thought I'd have the same epiphany with Radiohead. Nah. Still too weird. Can't stand them but respect them. But I do love ~15 songs, 1/3 being In Rainbows tracks.
  11. What else could you touch it with? :wideeyed:  @thread I'd scream like a betch, of course. :dazzled: Edit: Gifts? I thought the question was what would you do if you met them.
  12. Oh I see. They encourage bizarre questions. :D (Bizarre is misspelled btw.) :P As I said, I don't follow the Oracle or this thread and I only heard the bad side of the story - people calling the Oracle "useless" for providing CP info and complaining about her/them giving relationship advice. That's a good thread btw. Nothing wrong with it! Chris Martin. :dazzled: :D I meant to refer to that hate mail about a homosexuality question.
  13. Ask the Oracle.
  14. This reminds me of The Dark Side Of The Moon being made as a "soundtrack" for The Wizard Of Oz. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Side_of_the_Rainbow
  15. Once again, personal questions are totally OK, but questions about glue and football and homosexuality... Why? Never mind, it's none of my business. If she said they are interesting to her, why not... :smug:
  16. It's the weakest of the 5 songs, but it's still great. 1. It's a good lead single, it's very - hey look at me kind of songs. 2. It's the perfect Track 2 of the album, I don't know how to explain it, I just like the drums solo right after Track 1. 3. The drums and the riff are so simple yet instantly recognizable, it's almost irritating in a way. :D I used to mix up Yellow and In My Place. I don't think it's a coincidence they play them together all the time.
  17. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48380&page=427 Debs knows the date, but she can't tell us. Posted this in the CB section too. Not very helpful, I'm just barging really. :dozey: YES, I CHATTED WITH THE ORACLE. :wacky:
  18. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48380&page=427 The Oracle knows the date of release for the video, but she can't tell us.
  19. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48380&page=427 Umm, I hope this really was Debs The Oracle. :D Even though she rejected my idea (and hated it :disappointed:) this was fun. :awesome:
  20. I have to go too. This was very nice and informative. +It happened on Coldplay's 14th birthday. I shall cherish this day forever! :D Goodbye.
  21. OK, fair enough. :) Worth the shot though... :D I'm not sure that you got it right - you wouldn't have to read the thread or search for "the one" question. You'd just get one message with one question (daily or weekly) and that's it. This was a rushed idea. I agree it's kind of "elitist". And we would probably ask questions you can't answer like the CB one. I misinterpreted your job. (Mixed it up with the Anchorman's.)
  22. Where's everyone? Support my idea! :D Feel free to shoot it down if you think it's too demanding...
  23. Looks like YOU ARE an all-seeing future predicting Matrix type of Oracle like I suggested, after all! :D Only much younger and more attractive, of course. :D
  24. I had started writing that before I saw your reply. I'm only trying to make it easier for you in a way... ;) I'm glad to see that you don't mind being "bugged" by fans. But still, that "coldplaying exclusive" question would be great! :)
