I think it is a nice gesture to start the tour in Latin America. It shows that they still care & remember their promise after the MX tour was cancelled. I still remember the despair on the forum after that happened. I hope all the best for the fans attending those gigs..The crowds are usually so enthusiastic. Hopefully it is going to be a very good start for the upcoming tour

what does this mean? does it mean that one of the songs on the album would be just a recital of that Rumi poem? :confused: or is it an interlude between songs.. every new article/ interview about this album makes me feel more confused about it!! It just sounds so...random & messy :inquisitive: like it has a strange mix of things that don't fit at all with each others

ahem ahem what are all these actresses doing on a Coldplay album? :confused: I mean, I get the idea of collaborating with other musicians like Beyonce or Tove Lo or whatever, but what artistic value do these actresses bring to the album? I had some hope for Everglow because it was the only ballad, but do I have to endure some terrible singing voice in it? please do not turn this into a discussion about their private lives. I am really asking out of artistic concern..I sincerely all these featuring vocals will be hushed down & unrecognizable..

I was beginning seriously to doubt myself & my knowledge..:P but I asked another Egyptian Coldplayer & they have never heard of this Umi before either!! either we are both ignorant, or it is just something invented & put on the internet as a fact!! :laugh3:

listening to a lot of the new interviews, I found them extremely reminiscent of the MX ones! same questions, almost the same answers. just Rihanna got replaced by Beyonce!! I was wondering why none of the interviewers asked them about AHFOD being similar to MX. I always rejected this idea till I listened to the interviews. then this monkey video came out, & you can never deny it didn't remind you of Paradise (Mat Whitecross & animal costumes with band members characteristic features) I am very confused at the moment tbh..I just want them to say frankly that it is MX part 2 so that I can be ready for it.. on another note, I had a feeling from the album description they put on their website, that they were hiding more famous collaborations other than Beyonce & Noel. I haven't listened to today's interviews but is it true that the American President is on the album, or is it just a joke?? this question itself is a joke, but seriously I don't know what to expect anymore!!

I am Egyptian & I have never heard of the word Umi before..It is the 1st time I heard it & had to google the meaning to see sites claiming it is an Egyptian name & I was like :wtf: (btw, never heard of the term Egyptian language. Egyptians speak Arabic, yes there are slang Egyptian expressions but over all it is Arabic) also Umi can mean "my mother" in Arabic, but not in the way Chris pronounces it in the song. it is more like Ummi, not Umi :blank: my thoughts are the same as Gai. It is probably the name of the protagonist in the song. in what language, I have no clue!

I am usually calm & cool & all but seriously... okay, I get it, paradise was a big hit. it has the most views on their channel, but I mean, do they have to repeat the same thing all over again, with the same director even? :blank:

ooooh so I am gonna hold up half the sky is referring to a book about empowering women & gender equality :surprised: never saw it coming. maybe this song is actually written from a female point of view. this part of the song still confuses me though. yessssss I really liked it too. He was looking at Jonny most of the interview which is very rare interviews in nowadays :awesome: I actually liked this one, not so repetitive & the interviewer seemed nice & spoke mainly about music, not gossip or trivial stuff :wacky: he also seemed genuinely interested about the band, not just doing his job. More of this please..

I kind of expect the single to be revealed tomorrow around 16 PM London time, because I think on Friday, they will appear on some shows that are aired early morning (correct me if I got this wrong) which may not be convenient for ppl in America/ Australia if they aired the song at that time. & maybe the surprise on that Chris Evans show is a concert around December 4 :thinking: there has been a video a while back of Chris & Jonny offering a ticket to a show for a fan & saying it will be "soon"

with the mandala cover theory not proven right, I am still puzzled about the repetitive elements on the gifs :confused: even the music snippet is repeated over & over again. is this a sort of hypnosis method? :lol:

seems very plausible :surprised: it would explain all the repetitiveness in the design
