I apologize for going off topic but I disagree with your example of watching car crash. I think it is not the case here at all. People will watch the crash & torn body parts because it makes them feel they have escaped death themselves. It gives them a sense of power & relief because they were not the ones in this crash or that accident.It is said to be cathartic also. it's the same why people go watch horror or bloody movies to feel terrible for a couple of hours then go back home in a better mood. I think what happens in fandoms some how resembles how the masses act in a riot or demonstration. People believe in a certain cause so they gather, move in masses & must shout the same slogans. you have to move (do as the masses do) even if you don't completely agree with some of the shouts & screams. The extremists always are the loudest & sometimes a stupid thing a few people do can affect the whole riot & what it represent. well at least this is how I see it.

I understand what you mean. I despise paparazzi & their photos they sneak behind bushes to take. I hate stupid tabloid articles digging about every private detail in one person's life that actually matters to no one but that person himself & his family or close friends. If it were for me, I would never seek or see them, but it is part of being in a fandom. you'll see these things daily & read ppl discussing them & it annoys me to a great extent because it terribly violates his privacy. I try to ignore what I don't like. there is no point telling anyone that this is wrong or creepy. People will disagree & continue as previous. on this thread, you'll find everything; from drooling over photos to dissecting every part of the man's body, extreme fangirling, mocking him & admiring his many many qualities. Again, this is what happens in a fandom. any kind of fandom. there is not any extreme odd behaviours as far as I can remember & I don't think any of the fans here will shout at him "Take OFF YOUR SHIRT" if they ever meet him irl. people are more bold behind the screens. btw, Chris himself doesn't identify with my idea of handsomeness or sexiness (except for his blue eyes). If it weren't for his talent & what we know of him as a person, I would not even care to look at him twice. So if we are commenting on how sexy or attractive he looks, it is not because we are a bunch of creeps that love watching someone's body, it's because we really like him so almost everything he does is pure magic. We see him handsome & sexy. His smile is the sweetest, his jokes are the funniest, even if it were not true. I guess the beauty is in the eyes of the beholders as they say.

Speaking about Phil, there are 2 things: The address used for the companies mentioned is the same he used for fans to send him the stamps for his collection back in 2013 : Dales Evans 88-90 Baker Street, London, W1U 6TQ Phil's name is not mentioned as a director in any of the companies. Maybe he was referring to himself when he said that seemed a lot work?

love the fact that almost everyone is sure that Adele's new album is going to top the charts. How she has built that confidence among fans & casual listeners is truly amazing! Not even posting a single photo from their recording sessions as before GS. there was an article in which a band representative said there was no release date decided yet. Could it be that the representative was not telling the truth, or no one was contacted form the band & the press are just writing nonsense? One other thing, they have to launch their site & change their social media accounts' looks for the new era. Is it possible think they can manage to do all this at once if they just drop the album?

this is so sad. I don't get it why have they decided to close it! Why agree on giving 3M only if Ms Camila Batmanghelidjh was going to step down, agree on it, then change the agreement & decide to close the foundation? Were there corruption allegations? did the government think that the fund was not used wisely? Do they have a certain disagreement with the lady? Was the only solution is to close a foundation that helps vulnerable children? So sad to see so much good work go to waste

I remember during the MX U.S. tour, whenever the band were playing 2 nights in a row in the same city, Chris used the chance to visit children hospitals in these cities (mostly cancer hospitals), visit the kids & play music for them. These visits were done in secret, away from the media. We only knew of some of them when some of the kids or their parents shared the photos on social media. (those who knew actually who he was or liked them as most kids like 1D or JB :P ) This girl in the photo is one of them & she remembers her encounter with him & thanks him for dedicating Fix You to her at a concert :heart: I don't think that CM is perfect at all btw. No one is. but yes, I agree with Thalia, that with so much s*** in the world, it is nice to know of someone doing these kind gestures in secret not seeking media attention or for PR

I was just thinking about this today. The GS leak thread was the most hilarious thread here ever :lol: Remember all the gifs & the trolls saying they bought the album already but don't know how to share it Anyway, If Chris has been/ is in Canada for some time now, could it be that the album is already finished or they are taking a break & will work on it later (unless there is a secret recording studio they hired in Canada)? As for this anonymous "source", I don't believe them. Who they are & what is their aim of leaking info that could cost them a lot if they were in the music business? I thought at first that it might be Phil or someone working with the band leaking these rumours deliberately to increase the hype for the album (it has worked so far), but then it is highly unlikely that they would use what seems to be a Chris Martin gossip/ stalking fan site :/

NO, they won't. Not for this album definitely. They might do it further down the line, when they can't write good songs & their record company pushes them to release anything to make money :/

Didn't the band invest in their company at first? Do they still have a share in it?

Chris is a curator for the event. He said that the band won't perform unless they have to, which probably will mean that he failed to convince other artists to perform instead
