This is my best non-Coldplay song ever :)

Under The Tracks (?)
So why do this idiots ofhe label print the name Coldplay on their CDs? They probably hope they will sell more using the name of such a great band... No, you don't need to, but thanx!

Under The Tracks (?)
Help me please, people. And don't kick me if there's a thread about it yet. My friend showed me a song from the OC California soundtrack, it's called "Under The Tracks" and the CD back says it's by Coldplay. But I've heard the song and hell, it sounds similar to Coldplay, but it isn't Coldplay! Man I can hear Chris Martin's voice out of million others, it's not him! But my friends so sure that it's our favourite band and if even the tracklist says so... has anybody an idea?

The Libertines, Babyshambles, Dirty Pretty Things, Yeti Etc.
I've heard of them! But there are so many bands to discover (and so less space on my computer), so I don't know where to start  They're really good, not another Hype-Band? It's crazy how many there are now. Oh God, I'm just listening to a very early Libertines recording called "Mockingbird". I almost couldn't believe this is Pete singing. He sounds so - good! He was a real good singer before he started drinking and taking drugs so much! I didn't knew drugs could have such a big influence on the voice. He must be so dopey by now...

Arrgh, Pete can be so terrible  But tell us your story after DPT! You've seen a concert in Basingstoke, that's where Carl's from :) Carl has a hollow back :P...but still he cuts a good figure on stage! And the others, too, I'm really anxious. I've heard Bang Bang You're Dead, and I've gotta say it's NOT gonna be one of my favourite songs, but I'm optimistic about the rest.

the "talk about yourself" thread
Hi, I'm Theresa. I'm 16 years old and from Germany. My greatest passion, apart from my friends and all the people that I love, might be music, at least great, thoughtful, emotional indie/alternative music from England. So my favourite bands are Coldplay of course, they shaped my taste in music, The Libertines, Oasis and - from the USA, one exception - the Red Hot Chili Peppers and their guitarist John Frusciante as a solo artist. I'm in a band, too, as songwriter, bass player (I play guitar, too) and singer, had some gigs, also singing jazz. So there's one of my imaginations for the future being in a band I can get famous with (not like the superstar status that Coldplay have, Germany-wide would be way enough), and it seems to get less and less a dream than a plan because I'm really working on it. Another imagination is to leave my town after school, my region, maybe even my country because my life like I'm living it now as a teenager doesn't satisfy me. I've never been to Engalnd, but if I like it there when I come to London in summer (I'm sure I will), maybe I'll live in England then! Yeah, I'm thinking and imagining a lot, that's what I approach in my songs, too. And I dream and believe in real love, I'm quite romantic although my appearance isn't like that at first, and I wanna find someone I can share my deepest thoughts and love for music with - and also having a great laugh. Well, as The Libertines said, "If you lost your faith in love & music, oh the end won't be long." These must be the most important things in life. Sorry if I took so long - that's another thing about me, I'm always scared I get on somebody's nerves when I'm behaving a bit strangely!

Richard Ashcroft "married" to Chris Martin
Yeah, Chris is a real heartbreaker to all genders ^^
-
Outgoing or Shy
Different, depends on my mood. Sometimes I'm just chatting and laughing and everything, and on other days, I'm in the standing beside, smiling and adding one sentence at times-position. I think I'm MORE outgoing than shy, at least I wanna be outgoing.

German Fans?
Eben, der Typ hat Musikgeschmack. Deshalb ist es verwunderlich, dass Tobias jetzt Superstar ist ^^ Aber ich hab mich auf jeden Fall gefreut.

How much influence Coldplay has on you?
No you're not crazy. Or millions of Coldplay fans are crazy ;) For me it's the same, well not as strong anymore as it was 2 years ago when Coldplay were most everything to me. The biggest influence by Coldplay is that they changed my whole taste in music. Before they came on, I've listened to charts stuff what I still continued for a while as a Coldplay fan. But getting curious on other music similar to Coldplay turned me more and more away from being a "normal" music listener. Now I have a real bold alternative taste, as you can see! And when I write songs, they often have a little Coldplay touch, this melancholy and romance, you know.

Hi Reilly! Oh God, even for free... I wish I lived in England soooo damn much!! Yeah, I love Carl, he's so great. The better Likely Lad, as I use to say. I've read yesterday they'll release "Bang Bang You're Dead" as the first single about May, album will follow. So there's a chance that they will come for more concerts to Germany, apart from one show in Hamburg as Paul Weller's support act.

Arctic Monkeys!
Thanx a lot, I'm proud of it :) Especially because it's much britpop and other various stuff ;) I've seen the artists in your sig live :D

What did they play? And about Babyshambles - Pete was there on stage? (you know what I mean, he's well-known for not appearing at shows...)
