Aw, "Electrical Storm" :). The first interpretation of that song's lyrics were the ones I always went with. But I like the other two, never thought of it that way. I think I like those options better :p. Very strange song, that one. It's cool but it's very weird, too. Glad you're getting into "Lemon" more, too! That's a cool song, and yes, also very odd. I've never seen the Popmart DVD, so can't comment there. I do know I've heard that that tour had some brilliant moments and some moments of struggle-the whole Pop era was a very tough time for the band, it seems. Album came out before they felt it was ready, the tour started off a bit rough, sales were "eh" depending on where you lived...U2's biggest "flop" period, so to speak, I think. Loved the performances from that show you shared, though. Gorgeous version of "Sunday Bloody Sunday" from Edge, lovely to hear his take on the song. And "Please"-gah, I LOVE that song, that's one of my absolute favorite U2 songs, and that version was excellent. "Soon" sounded really interesting! I agree, let's get some new music out here, people!

Coldplay do have some sad songs, yes, but there's always a hint of hope in them somewhere. But yeah. I like Radiohead, but they do have the "depressing music" thing down pat, definitely. They're a dreary thunderstorm, whereas Coldplay is rainbows and sunshine. Relatively speaking :p. Oh, okay. Sounds like an older issue, then. I do have that one, though, so if I get a chance I can still scan it. :nod: This, definitely. You know you're addicted when you and your mom go out to get breakfast and you bring a Coldplay CD along to play in the car, despite the fact that it will skip due to some of the bumpy/older roads you drive on.

I've never understood it either. For the longest time the most I've ever known about her was that she's an actress and she's married to Chris. She hasn't done anything to upset my life any, so I really never had an opinion one way or another about her. But from this thread, yeah, she seems all right to me. She doesn't seem any better or worse than 90% of the celebrities out there, and I'd certainly prefer to hear more about her than a lot of the other people that the entertainment media obsesses over.

Sometimes I wonder if Guy, or Will, or anyone else they know, has ever looked at them acting like that and said, "Get a freaking room already, will ya?" :laugh3:.

That's fine. There is one argument about the video I do think is interesting-the whole "proper country" thing, valid point there. Course, then again, I'm not even entirely sure why the song "Princess of China" is called such anyway to begin with, 'cause there's no references to that country anywhere in the song, so...*Shrugs*. Go figure all of it out, eh? I too am excited, as I've said, but I can see where some people wouldn't be into it. At the very least, I'll enjoy how utterly strange it is (and judging from the photos, "strange" is a simple way to describe what we'll eventually see), and if nothing else, I can just admire Chris throughout the video. Sort of like how I watch the "The Hardest Part" video (love the song, and Chris looks FANTASTIC in the clip, but seriously, WTF is with that video?).
