  1. Awwwwwwww, that was lovely :). "Us Against The World" is such a beautiful song. That's one hell of a vocal audience!
  2. I like your way of thinking .
  3. I echo PoC's comment about the videos. YES. (That M&M commercial that's out now that has that "Sexy and I Know It" song in it...they play that a lot and it's torture in the best way possible :D. My friends and I were talking about the commercial last night when we stopped at the store, and one of my friends started singing part of that song, and I just kept thinking, "Oh, if only they knew the real reason I was laughing and smiling...". Though my friend's impression of the song was funny) Also, this Chris thing? It may be an affliction, but I refuse to call it a "problem". "Problem" implies something bad. Which this thing with Chris is so completely not.
  4. That is cute! I hope the older she gets the more interested she'll be. For some reason the idea of the Beatles' faces on a place mat strikes me funny .
  5. I guess I was just raised differently or something-sure, I went through my teenybopper phase as a teenager and such, I liked a lot of the top 40 stuff (and still like some of it every now and again, though clearly I'm at the age where I've outgrown a lot of it). But I still knew about classic music, thanks to my parents, and didn't shy away from more "mature" stuff because it wasn't what was hot at the moment. I've been pretty well exposed and open to a great variety of music, old and new, thanks to my parents. They educated me well. So it always strikes me weird when I hear of young people who don't know about the classics and such. If the new music out is someone's thing, fine, to each their own and all that good stuff. But people's musical history knowledge is sorely lacking sometimes and I find that a sad thing.
  6. Wow. People will make accounts for anything anymore, won't they? I'm not sure whether to laugh at that or do this: . I'd bet! (My name's Angela, by the way :)) Nice! It's kinda spooky when that happens, isn't it, when you wake up either to a song by a band you like or they play shortly thereafter? Spooky in a good way, of course, but still...
  7. Thank god. I had a feeling it might be a joke, but nowadays, you never know. I mean, if people can go around asking, "Who's Paul McCartney?" after all...
  8. There we are! Mystery solved ! (You know, it's weird, I've never even WATCHED that show and I still know who these people are :p) Wow, seriously, I have got the weirdest things going through my mind now with this discussion. *Rubs temples*
  9. Apparently so. Man, it's weird to think it's gotten to that point in the generation gap. *Applauds* Well said!
  10. Oh, my god...he kinda does *Eyes go all weird* Okay. I'm going to need to scrub that "Sex & the City" one out of my brain...(though now I'm wondering if the photoshopper matched them up properly with each girl they're supposed to be...agh, I MUST STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS!). I'm just going to look at the ones in Row and Lory's posts that Mara quoted from instead. *Cleans out brain* LOL. Oh, God help your poor husband if he were to delve through this thread further (or even more so the LOL one...).
  11. WHAT?!?! Who is Paul McCartney?????? That...makes me very sad. And that Skrillex thing-please tell me that is someone joking around? Edit: I see the grammar mistake, too. Big pet peeve of mine, that particular one.
  12. It's pimped-out Jonny :laugh3:! Chris pointing to Jonny and saying, "most sexy guitar player"-um, yeah. Buckin moment! I like when the interviewer listed "awards" like "most stupid questions" and "worst-looking microphone". That was a cute response. They do! And a lovely shade of green at that-wow. NICE. I like! He's kinda just all green in this photo, it seems-green hat, green eyes, green shirt, green on the wrist... Love the screencaps, too.
  13. :laugh3: Great minds! I'd love to see you work that into the photo with the other guys' responses to it.
  14. He looks like he's going to "make someone an offer they can't refuse". He does look quite good in a suit, though . Ergh. That's a bizarre thought. That makes me feel like I did the other day when I read a letter someone had written to a magazine thanking them for their tribute to Whitney Houston, and they said that their granddaughter or somebody had asked, "Who's Whitney Houston?" :stunned:. (I never really watched Power Rangers-seen snippets here and there, but that was it-but I certainly knew of them!) "Camera seducing diva"-:laugh3:. If the camera isn't responding to his seduction...I'm free and single .
  15. Hers is all right-I'd dance to it if I were out at a club-but yeah. Agreed :D. That's hilarious and brilliant! I applaud her :D.
  16. LMAO, oh, dear. Good luck. Maybe, like, double/triple-bag the cakes (if you're putting them in a clear plastic sack or something, so that it's harder for him to see through the sack), and if he or anyone on the train asks, make up some story about some sort of luggage or concert-related thing you're bringing along or whatever? I dunno. The cake is a nice idea for your son, too :). I bet he'll like that.
  17. Is that in the LOL thread? It's very caption-worthy :D.
  18. My mom and I just ran out to get pizza earlier, and she grabbed some cupcakes at the convienience store. I had to hide a little smile at that :D. Also, I heard Rihanna's "We Found Love" on the radio, and immediately thought of this: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igMoAFDj2-Q]Coldplay Rihanna We Found Love Radio 1 Live Lounge Student Tour 2011 - YouTube[/ame] Yeah. You and I, we're both goners .
  19. Congrats on 3,500! Oooh. I like that one. Whoa. That...I...um....it...he... *Just sits and drools like mad*
  20. Post that as often as you want. I sure won't mind!
  21. Know I'm late in this, but hope you enjoy the weekend, Kristal! Have fun! Mara, I'm feeling much better, yes, thanks :). Brief bit of bleh, was all. Agreed on all of this. That photo is cute, though. And I love the one at Phil's wedding-looking sharp, Chris! A damp cloth! Yes! Hahahaha :D. I'll have to look at that again to see if I can notice the "looks like writing on his stomach" thing. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it :p.) We'll be sitting (it's assigned seating at this venue) kinda far back, not as close as I'd like to be, unfortunately. But I think, looking at the view of that area online, that we'll still be able to see things fine enough :). The seats are higher up, so I can look down and still see the stage (we'll be on its left end) from that viewpoint and everything, so that works. I'm kinda hoping for Chris to get all, "I'm going to go visit the faraway people" a bit and maybe wander out our way or something . I will most certainly give a review and all that good stuff! Seriously, you won't be able to shut me up :p. Haha, I'll be the same way! I've been like that before when I've seen a couple of my other favorite bands, so things won't change in that regard this time around. I've said this to others, but I'm particularly excited because one of my friends knows of Coldplay but I don't think she has much of an opinion on them one way or another. So I'm hoping she'll enjoy the show as much as I will (the other girl who's going likes them already, so no need to try and convince her of their greatness :D). I just hope they can put up with my fangirlng-but hey, who knows, they may well join in! Which would be awesome. I want to see that Policeman's Ball thing! I've not seen it yet. Oooh, hello :). I love that one, too. *Nods firmly* Uh-huh. Ohhhhhhhhhh, yeah. Same here. THAT look...as some people I talk to elsewhere like to say: UNF.
  22. :laugh3: I particularly like the Power Rangers one.
  23. Echoing the congrats on the driving test, Dany! Very cool-leave it to Coldplay to "be there" in such a instance like that, huh :D? Your husband rules :laugh3:! I love your cake(s) idea, I would totally go for it . Happy birthday :)!
  24. Always a good pick-me-up :). And you're very welcome. Oyyyyyyyyy...that's...yeah. Eesh . Row, I love the one about your son and the equals sign! I'm with Coldplay Respect here, I'd run with that :D. On a similar note...so yesterday in the car as I was heading to work, "Viva La Vida" came on the radio...and I swear I heard my mom humming along to the song! *Feels all proud and stuff*
  25. Well, that just sucks, doesn't it ? As does this. Hilarious story, I love that that picture was in your head :p. This cracks me up so much. *Heads off to watch this "God Put A Smile..." clip and see pretty smiling and such*
