  1. "Baby, Can I Hold You?"-Tracy Chapman.
  2. :( I'm sorry . That's a great one :D. Sorta similar to what I've been doing lately-I'll hear random snippets of sentences that show up in Coldplay songs and my mind will immediately fill out the rest of that line (example: the other day someone was on TV talking and they said, "For some reason..." and I started thinking, "...I can't explain, I know Saint Peter won't call my name..."). I swear it's totally unconscious, too! I'm not trying to do it on purpose! I like Nikola's, too-that's sorta spooky, actually! Indeed! Must keep vigilant! I like that quote from Chris, too. Yeah. There's a dark side to that bouncing, energetic, polite British boy .
  3. Hello! Welcome back. Enjoy catching up :D. I'm doing good! How are you? What all've you been up to? The most long-term trip I have planned thus far isn't until August, and that's only about...3 days or so because I'm going to St. Paul for the Coldplay show. It'll be my first one ever, too. So expect me to be babbling and gushing all over the place for a good long while when I get back .
  4. ^^^^Agree with you on that one . At the piano, singing all lovely...
  5. :stunned: Oh. My. Lord. :laugh3:
  6. *Giggles* *Ponders that thought* Hello! Echoing the welcome :). Sorry you're having a bad week . But I'm glad this thread's helping, hopefully things start looking up soon. LOL, there ya go, that's as perfect an explanation as any! Good to have you back here, missed ya :). Hello to Phoebeo, too. Hooray for the weekend! My weekend isn't so free, as I have to work tomorrow afternoon-but only for 5 hours, so that's no biggie (I have to close, though. I hate closing). Yeah. That would be the part  :D. Me likey. A lot. Ehem. LOL, oh, dear. Eh, well, depending on what he does on there he might not see the full contents of the folders, depending on how everything's saved and if he needs to get in them or not or whatever-I don't know how you set everything up on your computer. But regardless, you DID warn him, so.... From what you've told us about him he seems like a pretty understanding guy, so it should be okay, I'd think :). Ergh, fun, fun. Sorry you're sick. Hope you get better soon! Lots of rest and looking at this thread should help a bit. All's good on my end. And I really like that picture! It's cute!
  7. I LOVE Guy's accent (and after watching that tour diary thing I REALLY want to go record shopping with him). But yeah. Back to Jonny...wow, yeah, that's quite a detailed article. Sounds like they have some fun times when they're out and about (I like that Jonny goes to history and science museums. I think that's really cool). And his wife is gorgeous. Fully agreed on this.
  8. OJ was famous. Famous people often get special treatment. If he were your average everyday citizen he'd have likely been found guilty in two seconds flat and been put in jail for a long time. As for Casey Anthony, hey, many people here in the U.S. are mystified by the outcome of that trial as well. I agree, our jail system could use some serious reform. We put too many people in there for crimes that I see more worthy of fines or probation or such instead of jail time while people who committed violent crimes get let out. I feel if you murder (not in self-defense), rape, rob someone while armed with a legitimate weapon, or abuse someone, life imprisonment, no chance at parole whatsoever, and it should be like that nationwide (sometimes those laws can vary from state to state). And if those are the only sorts of people in prison and it gets overcrowded, well...*Shrugs*. Tough. Let survival of the fittest play out, then. Yeah. And that wasn't a one-off thing, sadly. There's been many more since then. Just a few weeks ago there was a shooting at a high school in Ohio. Three students were killed, three were injured. And we hear these stories and think, "How could this have happened?" but then the moment we dare try and address the issue of gun access and such, nobody wants to do anything serious about it. I know there are states with tough gun regulations, but I also know there are illegal gun sales that occur throughout the U.S. The problem is that we don't have a uniform regulation nationwide on such a thing, and we should. We also have had a lot of uptick in people stocking up on guns and joining militias since Obama took office, too. Which is beyond frightening. Indeed. It often seems that the people who buy guns for self-defense are the ones who wind up getting shot or killed by those very guns, and usually it's by someone they know, either accidentally or intentionally, and not a random stranger.
  9. Programs, therapy, doctors...Coldplay's not just an addiction, it's like an illness or something ! Hope all goes well at work :). So I watched that "Tour Diary" on the concert DVD earlier (and the concert itself, which was lovely and all sorts of fun and yay!). Towards the end. When they're backstage at Red Rocks (which I've been to! Whee!). Chris changing. Yep. Mmmhm. *Rocks back and forth, clears throat, :whistle:s*
  10. Ergh. I'm sorry to hear that . I hope you feel better/things start looking up soon. Hm. I suggest "In My Place". It has Jonny's sublimely gorgeous guitar in it and it's very relaxing and soothing :).
  11. I know Coeurli mentioned a suggestion for a concert a few pages back. But your idea looks like a great choice, too! I'm fine with whichever one we go with, doesn't matter to me :).
  12. He DOES get nuzzly quite often, the way a cat does.... No way are you the only one. Nope. Who could blame you? It's too damn tempting.
  13. Echoing those who recently said "In The Sun". I just came across this song recently myself, and OH MY GOD. It's so beautiful. Loving it to bits right now.
  14. I thought so! Looked like a lovely gig from that clip. *Scrolls up. Then down. Then up again. Then down again. And so on* Yeah. It's a mystery to me, too. There's so much pretty here I don't even know where to start. (I feel a really strong urge to want to reach through the screen and touch his cheek right now)
  15. There are people who are responsible with them, and yes, it's true, a ban won't solve the problem, as people will find a way to obtain a gun. That said, I despise guns, I have no desire to own one, and I think some definite proper regulations on owning them should be in place (and those who violate the regulations will be punished appropriately for it). And I think there are certain guns that only the military, if anyone, should be allowed to have. The idea of an average citizen owning some of the big weapons out there is ludicrous-unless you're staring in an upcoming action flick, there's no logical reason why you should own one of those. Some people are far, FAR too obsessed with guns and it really disturbs me how pervasive they are in society here in the States sometimes.
  16. Guy looks REALLY good in jeans. Mmhm . So do I. LOVE me a Scottish accent on a man. Loved that interview with Will and Guy! Really nice to hear them talk a bit more (maybe everyone should just let Guy answer all the questions about the album's title from now on. That's about the most sound, set explanation for Mylo Xyloto I've heard and maybe it'd stop people asking so much !), they both seem so sweet and lovely (and Will has a great voice, too). Thanks for sharing it.
  17. Heh, well, there ya go, then :D! I just remember hearing the news announced on TV (Matt tended to be mentioned as an afterthought, I don't think many of our media outlets really know who he is ). Neat that you came across him, though. I think many lead singers are like that. Either they like to mess with interviewers because they hate being asked those questions, or they honestly don't know what direction they're going and just coming up with some idea off the top of their head, or they don't explain it well enough, or whatever. If the "lullaby" stuff is along the lines of "Soldier's Poem", or even the "Redemption" part of that "Exogenesis" symphony or whatever musically speaking, I'll be cool with that.
  18. Oh, god. The ARMS. Girls, you're killing me here. (Hell, that body in general...the man is FINE. End of story. Case closed) Hehehe, you're welcome! Glad you're liking it so far! Also, hello, and welcome to the boards! Hehe, that's okay! Exactly. It's all in the name of art that we study him. Or something. Funny, I make those noises and do that, too. Hm. LOL, understandable. Glad to hear your afternoon was better, though. Mine was fine. Uneventful. Woohoo. ^^^^^^Yeah, all of this, pretty much (happy anniversary to you and your boyfriend, by the way, Kristal :)!). That's sure more than enough to make MY day better. :laugh3: Awwwwwww, that's great (tambourine? Who would bring a tambourine?). Was that from little gig Jonny and Chris did that you went to recently, Row? Lovely performance, too-god, I adore that song so much. And I love hearing the crowd sing along so clear. Very cool. And this... Pardon my language, but that was fucking STUNNING. I love the use of the orchestra, I love the overall atmosphere of the stage setup...that performance was incredible. And Chris looked absolutely fantastic, too. So hey, all around goodness!
  19. Haha, that's a good one :D! I like that school is giving people so many Coldplay-inspired moments. Exactly! I'm glad you enjoyed that ! And I love that you tweeted the guys about this, too. Even if they didn't respond back, hopefully they'll be inspired to check out the video just off your recommendation alone. I bet they'd get a kick out of it. Sounds like a good plan. 97 days? Oooh. So close and yet so far, eh? Yay! Hehe. Aw . I'm sorry. to Dany as well-you're welcome.
  20. Haha, no kidding! Wonder what he went off to do in the end? Glad I'm not alone !
  21. Oh, okay. We don't get that magazine where I live, unfortunately. Haha, I caught that, too. So if you're creepy, I am, too .
  22. Haha, I was going to say, all that waiting and aching and such would've been worth it, definitely. Well, that's great, I'm glad you had such a good time, especially given it was your first show! Here's to having fun like that again in July :)!
  23. Holy. Shit. This sounds NUTS. All that orchestral stuff against the electronic elements (to their extremes, as it says), and then this David Campbell guy with the pedigree he has? Yeah. Come on, autumn! (What constitutes "personal themes" for Muse has me quite curious, too. Also, I wasn't aware that the band played Origin of Symmetry in full at those festivals! Would've been quite fun to hear that, I bet.) Thanks so much for sharing that article. Very, very, very interesting.
  24. As do I :). Indeed. Laughter is contagious, and they both have such lovely smiles, so put all that together and it's a really cute thing to see. Plus it's just the fact that it's two longtime friends clearly still having fun and enjoying playing together. It's just so "Awwww". Thanks for this, I'd not seen it! The delay in between the questions and answers was sorta funny, made the interview a little bit odd. But it was a nice thing to watch! I like that they mentioned Gotye a bit-I've only heard a couple songs by him here myself (that "Somebody" song being one of them), but I quite like what I'm hearing, so yay for good taste! (Also, on a non-Coldplay related note, I found it interesting for some reason that the recent tornado outbreak here in the States got mentioned in their news feed at the bottom of the screen. What a great story to pass on to the Australians!)
  25. I want that pretty jacket/sweater thing she's wearing. It looks nice and warm.
