  1. Doh, I totally forgot today was his birthday, too :p. I'm not on Twitter, but I fully support everyone's efforts here in regards to that today :)! And I love the idea of playing his favorite song for his birthday, that's an excellent idea.
  2. If he does, I bet he'd be really touched by that. That was a really sweet, nicely made video :).
  3. I will :)! At some point today I'll do just that. I know, I want the same thing. I'd LOVE to meet a man like him.
  4. I hear that. Well said. Happy, happy birthday, Chris! Much love to you, may you have a fantastic day :)!
  5. I'd personally say there's been many a woman who's aged quite nicely, myself. I like your picture comment, too . That is appropriate indeed! Good question from your teacher :D. I would've responded with, "HA, I wish!" Nice. I'll have to look for that and check it out myself. Hehe, you're welcome! He is. He most definitely is...*Sighs and swoons*. And he's charming and sweet and funny and smart and talented and...yeah. Just all around wonderful.
  6. LOL, oh, dear. Your poor husband . I'm glad he's so cool with it, though.
  7. Hooray for the presentation going well, and hooray for cool teachers who approve of liking the band! That's fantastic. (Also cool you got to see them at Lolla, too) Excellent questions. For the first part, I'd say...he's blessed with exceedingly good genes. For the second part...that will be a question to study for years to come, I'm sure.
  8. I can honestly say there are a couple pictures in there I will never be able to look at the same innocent way EVER again :laugh3:. Wow, just how many times would that have to have happened in order for them to be "used to it", then ? Awwwwwwww :). Seriously. I LOVE how nuzzly Chris is . :stunned: Ummmmmmmm, 'kay, what's the story on that one? Love the drawing, too. So cute.
  9. Whee! Happy birthday, Chris! May you have a wonderful day, and here's to another year, and many more, of your talent and loveliness gracing us all.
  10. Well, that's intriguing... That whole group might as well just stage a love-in at some point :laugh3:.
  11. Clearly this is a secret signal from the band themselves  :D. Coming in from PA? Wow. If you do go that distance for a simple morning show, that, my friend, is dedication.
  12. You know, I actually like that reasoning he came up with. It makes total sense. I love both interviews shared in here, too. Such entertaining conversations :D. I didn't know about the "no meat on Mondays" thing, and I've heard about the struggles during X&Y, but yeah, didn't know it'd gotten that deep. Wouldn't surprise me to learn they've had moments like that, though, I think every band does at some point. The other stuff, though, yes, knew that, definitely :).
  13. I would seriously laugh my @ss off if someone threw a bra while they're on there. That would be awesome, if for no other reason than the guys' reactions. It wouldn't surprsie me at all if someone made a sign, which would be quite nice. If I lived in New York City and were able to go see this in person, I'd totally do that. I love all the talk of people hearing them on the radio, and hearing some of their lesser-known songs, to boot! I wish that happened more where I lived. And I STILL haven't seen the "Charlie Brown" video on TV, yet, damnit! Either I've just been missing it so far, or someone at the music channels really needs to get on the ball.
  14. EXCELLENT way to celebrate a 5,000th post, Coeurli! You've captured some of his best moments :D. And Row, echoing the others, your avatar? FABULOUS. I LOVE IT! It's adorable and cute and funny and wonderful and...gaaaaaaah. I like that idea :). I might do that, too. I'm definitely going to be celebrating by watching "Good Morning America" tomorrow, so there's that. But let's see, we're all going to do some personal sig thing, then? *Starts to think about what she could put in hers* He really is, isn't he? Sometimes I think he can't possibly look any better than he currently does, and then nope, I'm proven wrong :D. Red and brown? That's kinda nice, actually. So if we've got this many non-blondes, yeah, we may have to just forgo the dye and wigs. I don't think Chris would mind, would he? Exactly ;). Both activities which sound like a fine enough way to pass the time to me! There's an idea! I'd be happy to write it, and everyone could contribute! I can imagine :D. And I know :p. 'Kay, so I've made it kind of clear how much I love the way he looked in the Viva era, but...damn, the X&Y era was pretty well full of hotness, too. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I LOVE that scruffy beard thing he has going on sometimes. On the note of the X&Y era, can I just say he looks REALLY good in the video for "Talk" (and that that video is cute and sort of hilarious all at the same time). It is very strange to look at a picture where it feels like he's looking right at you, isn't it? Not that I'm complaining, though. What a cutie he is here. And I agree with earlier discussion-if I ever get lucky enough to meet him, a picture and a hug, that's all I ask for. That would be very nice.
  15. Hahaha, that's fantastic :D. Indeed . Precisely ;) :D.
  16. Hard to say. I've watched these sorts of shows before and it seems like you have to wait through a lot of boring chatter about other things to get to the actual music moments. Usually, though, they often show up in the middle or latter part of the show, so my guess is perhaps sometime close to 8 am (central), or after that?
  17. LMAO. I love these in particular. But they're all hilarious :D. I love the other recent ones people shared here, too.
  18. Oh, fantastic. I'll remember that, then. I'm definitely going to tape this. But I don't have the technology to upload it, unfortunately. So hopefully those of you outside the U.S. will be able to find a way to see it.
  19. So first he's a spy, now he's a knight in shining armor? He keeps up quite a few jobs beyond being a famous musician :laugh3:! I guess that makes Jonny, Will, and Guy the "merry men" or something? Aw, darn. Change just four letters and it would've been perfect.
  20. I suspect you're spot on with that statement, Tracie :laugh3:. I present to you exhibits A and B as reasons why being a guitar or a microphone would be a good idea. The guitar picture in particular amuses me for some reason. His arms and the guitar are both just kinda dangling there.
  21. I may well have to agree with you on that. I love the album version, but...yeah. That acoustic one is something special. Edit: Your secret is safe with me :). That's a great reason to like somebody, it makes perfect sense! I think you do the fangirl thing well enough as it is.
  22. That would be fun, I bet. If I had any sort of musical abilities, I'd definitely want to do that with my favorite musicians, too. It would be fun to just sit down and actually chat with them about something you share an interest in. He does seem like a total sweetheart, yes :). And hugable-yeah, he's certainly that, too. So I just listened to that acoustic version of "Lovers in Japan" from a couple pages back. Wow. That was beautiful. I really liked hearing the song that way, gave me a whole new appreciation for it.
  23. Haha, Muse fans have certainly earned that NME award  (and yay to Matt for his "hero of the year" one, even though I don't really know what exactly they're referring to with "hero"). Yeah. This album sounds cheerful! But hey, Absolution was pretty dark, and I've well expressed my love for that one, so...I'm thinking this bodes well, then. So to recap, we have potential song titles (or the beginnings of song titles) like "Madness" and "Panic Station", the use of brass, and a choir all factoring in so far for future album ingredients. Curiouser and curiouser... And Dom. You gotta love him :).
  24. Would there be anyone out there who has a ticket for the August 10th show in St. Paul that's in section 116, row 23, near seats 9 and 10? If so, PM me-a friend elsewhere has two tickets already on hold to offer me for that section, but I'd like a third one as we have three people going to that show. Thanks in advance!
  25. We caught Row in it, we'll catch you, too, eventually . Actually, though, there is some good geeky guitar discussion here and there from what I've read so far-there's likely more at some point as well. So you will be happy on that front, I think.
