  1. It reminds me the song Tears in Heaven. As I am a reincarnation believer [almost buddhist] - no human reincarnation can run away from love entanglement [consciously or unconsciously, mixing love with other instincts/desires - many crossings, many decisions and results - nothing can be permanent but an accumulative awareness of unconditional love - hell or heaven might be the psychological coordination for either being close to the Light or not], because, through which only which we can... there are karma or prices along the journey - no matter how painful [different pains and different causes; avoidable or unavoidable] it is you would not regret to go through the transformation. Any pursuit beyond perceptional [either physical or psychological; sometimes unnecessary] suffering has a sense of heaven, such as giving a birth to a new life - there is sth. behind all the visible. Even the doorway is painful to get through, you still choose to come back again because you still have sth. unfulfilled.
  2. Their videos have blended more imagination/universe ingredients - maybe in the future, they will talk about reincarnation... looking forward to it.
  3. I hope NOT. According to the new songs at Rock am Ring Live, I think this song is a bit outside of the group. If I were the manager, I would not release this song as a single at this time, somehow. Especially after a long break.
  4. I think the band can be open to many things - they are not baby boys always looking for praises - sincere or not. I can relate to some of the criticism - or rather just some first impressions. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall - to me might indicate quite a deep heartbroken moment - most of us have had such experiences in any possible tragic events. Then, the song turns out to be a bit - bland and plain [yes, I remembered the first time I listened to Fix You] - the melody is redundant to some degree and the lyrics scattered without much Reflection. I admit that I love the song that can deliver ALL into you at one time - the lyrics/melody/feelings/wisdom [one exception might be Bob Dylan - sometimes, the music is a sub-role]. There are many Coldplay Classics that I need not wait the songs growing on me. Sometimes, I have a point that the "craft" for music [others as well] are like plastic surgery - sounds nice or even catchy [never think it is a positive word in the context] - but losing its own life and realness - quick to catch you but quick to lose any interests/tastes as well. I don't know the exact writing/producing process but I feel it is hard to feel connected to. Comparing to Christmas Lights/Wedding Bell or other new songs performed at Rock am Ring - it is just outside of the group. One thing for sure is Only sing when you have sth. real or new to say. Again, I think they have a long road to go, but not in a hurry. Every true artist has his own path and pace - you can't speed or be lured by so called No.1 or awards. Recently, I attended a forum/film show of a 80 years' old well respected Japanese director 山田洋次 [Yōji Yamada]- my parents generation [me as in 30+] have watched his classics when they were young. He talked about his own life traces' influence on his film production, commercialism/capitalism vs film industry/film as an art form. He always observe the common people's life and the roles with many defects actually win the love of the audiences. He questions a lot yet use film to explore and share his own thoughts. He is still in the work of a new documentary on Steam Locomotive. The film was showed called おとうと / 弟弟 [About Her Brother: http://mubi.com/films/about-her-brother] - many audiences cried silently and deeply moved. It is about Tolerance and Family. I hope Coldplay can be this sort of artists who can enrich themselves not only through their lives but also a mind setting on humanity and the bigger horizon - a real growing.

    大家有看最近德国演出的视频吗?网络更新真的是很快 - 比如qiyi.真希望两年内Coldplay可以来内地演出 - 一定是个非常非常美好的夜晚~~~
  6. Ithink, comparing to the beginning Simple and Penetrating style, it has much more to add and interweaving - so is one's life - isn't it? Then, maybe next turn, you become more introverted and quiet again. The best dramas always have temporary beauty and tragic loss - heavier and heart-imprinted - yet, life also has other offerings whether that's the deepest moment nothing can compare. So, even I love the first album so much, I would be aside to witness how they've changed or grown. I would rather to see their every moment in the long flowing river of life, rather than picking the one that only Iprefer. Ilove this shared journey.
  7. The way that Ilooked at them and expected is not like they must play every live fantastic but they truly have sth. real and beautiful and they are On the Road [finding sth. new and never dwell on cozy/self-satisfied zone - cause life is progressive and struggling as well no matter who you are].Therefore, even I say their live in a not-so-good quality I am still moved and love. Other bands might be better from whatever aspects, for me, they are in the Best ones. Even they decide not to carry on as a band or musicians one day. I still love and appreciate for what they’ve offered all these years. I might not like the new single – as in love, you can’t find anyone who matches your every bit of satisfactory. Also, the saints are not always on high-clouds either. In between, there are common looks or roads, there were valleys.
  8. That's what I am thinking of - it could be true. Yes, I think we are sort of decoding-addictive - enjoy our own guessing game. Foxeh, Thanks for the explanation.
  9. Hello, Jenjie. I didn't follow all the Decipering on the release date - where to see it would be in Oct. [although some threads in the past have said that]. But if it is 10.10.11 - then a significant coincidence - an important anniversary in Chinese history [10.10.1911 - 10.10.2011].
  10. It is so great - everything; Interesting that I love every bit of their creation - it must be due to the astrological resonance! But the song, as a new single for 5th, a really sad tone. "We shall save the "waterfall" from overflooding" even we know it is true
  11. Excited and active. Scientist Video + Outer Space = Has Co. received any UFOs/Aliens' message during the break of 4th/5th by any chance, for the mysterious or difficult things on earth, such as love? I thought once in a while, countries like USA or Britain, would open some confidential UFO files...Maybe the color is the alphabet of their language ;p
  12. I haven't seen any related video yet. By the energy, the color reminds me sort of icecream - haha, or stories of this "rainbow" man - coming to earth then leave etc.
  13. Nice. Never consciously see/feel the direct Linkage although I've listened to the both long enough for many songs. I think there are some common "characters" in their songs - simple, sincere, childish humor/joy sometimes, kind of real love, imaginative and quite empathetic. Coldplay is more melody oriented [due to Chris] and Beatles [well, they've changed a lot by years and quite intense in the worldwide whirling 60'] - to me, more evolutionary and universal [sometimes, because of the drug]/spiritual. They are all quite creative without losing an earthy touch. Nevertheless, I do think they carry on [probably subconcsiously] some best heritages of this unique land.
  14. I really like the newly designed/developed creative Fonts/Illustrations, so is the set of the images on the official site launched a few months ago. Totally my style :) so "attuned". I can feel the little kids within 30+ "outfits" - very vigorous and energetic. * ~flai~ *
  15. More than the differences between "Isms" I think it is more about the understanding of Human Nature/Humanity or Priority in Values at certain contexts. Human beings have been Developed but not in simple linear straight line- either through external or internal changes. Besides the societal structures/orders, besides scientific/technogical advancements/inventions, we can't avoid a perpetual question: meaning of life and the happiness all cherish - and it lies in how we understand human nature - its intrinsic attributes, external conditions [functional effects] and internal factors. It is not the machines that exploit lower-wage workers and it is not the bread that serves the orphans - it is We - Human beings' intentions/actions that have a power to change even in a limited but an influential way. I think if the societial structure and its principles are to encourage the morality, ethics, and the loving nature of humanity - it is basically a positive/constructive influence more likely to create and maintain harmony. The opposite shall be carefully directed or monitored if necessary. But we have different value priorities in a given context - that might lead to different choices or even harm or conflicts. It is a bit pathetic/pessimistic to use Law as a punishing hand other than "cultivating consience" as a strength to "prevent" harmful or degrading behaviors. Personally, I think it is not the differences between such "isms" that make the group or identities or ideology - it is more about how we understand Human Mature [what are the intrinsic ? what are internal factors? how internal/external factors function on the individual to behave? what is the relationship between the individual and the group? what responsibilities for each part and where is the boundary etc. ] and What we take to shape the nature to its goodness. But in reality, some people tend to intentionally Define Concept/"Branding" [commercializing everything] rather than Discovering intrinsic characters through observation an analysis. Here, I don't mean we can't be creative in social organizing - but the most decisive part of Human Nature, to me, hasn't been changed at all. The whole 20th century could be a good yet painful historical example to see how we learn so hard from the negatives and put the new inventions to serve rather than destroy Humanity. But it is true and disappointed to see how misunderstanding/ignorance/intolerance can make the Unknown as Enimies - make the healthy competitions a disgraceful "conflict/war". The fear, the hatred, the greed, all that long-buried primitive instincts have been waken up like opening Pandora's Box to put an evolved soul falling into a hell-like condition - so disheartening. If Charlie Dickens lived now, should he be surprised to see those long-lasting social problems? Or Elizabeth Gaskell's insights in North and South, still ring the bell for Integrating business values without loosing basic humanity concerns? Or Franz Kafka, why did he claim the importance of knowing the internal world besides an external marvelous progression? The rooty reason is not "ism", culture or even religion. The harm that human does to human is not that advanced or mysterous, not beyond animalistic nature. I think the hope lies in the understanding of the meaning of life - <<Many Lifes, Many Masters>> by Dr. Brian Weiss. A Diamond Metaphor: "Everyone has one covered by rust or dirt. Each facet needs to be cleaned and you glow more with each facet cleaned. " The starlight [we perceive as the stars] we see today might have been long gone before; while the unknown we can't see now might exist beyond our limited perception. We become blind if we only take what we can perceive or confine ourselves or even impose or enforce upon others. It is an analogy applicable for many things in many ways.
  16. Maybe 05/05 for the 5th; or someday in early autumn

Music can really connects/unites people as God would love to see...
  18. Congratulations! Thought there would be sth. like this eventually!
  19. Perfect Day, a Lou Reed cover on June 11th, 2006; Wedding Bells [blues - probably a connection]. It happens to be two - and Finally I know why people connect to [but sometimes mis-perceived as love - as Bob Dylan once asked] sad songs.
  20. I know it is a bit outdated. But for the audiences, maybe it is a "once-in-life" experience and it is always like just Yesterday~ I want to share a few photos/clips of the only live I saw in Kansas City, MO, 2005. Awsome autumn day, cool wind and mind, as cool as you want to fly with the cloud, beautiful sunset, exiciting/"united" crowd, crazy teenagers with Coldplay. You can still feel the heartbeat and breath-taking sing-along moment. For my favorite Fix You/Scientist and also for yours. Enjoy~ [Quicktime Player] http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/3/2/1791839/FixYou1_Coldplay_2005Fall.MOV http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/3/2/1791839/FixYou2_Coldplay_2005Fall.MOV http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/3/2/1791839/Scientist1_Coldplay_2005Fall.MOV http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/3/2/1791839/Scientist2_Coldplay_Fall2005.MOV KC's Moon as Never Changed Parachutes, Do We?
  21. Yes. I am very happy, and ...actually, it is a mixture of feelings. Many reasons and stories...but I guess what I feel/absorb from their music is sth. that I can certainly pass out for either friends or people when I think they need that. The music has tons of Curing/Loving effects and I feel it is sth. simple, real, honest, beautiful and caring...and it is very my Type of music - aesthetically - I feel like drifting, floating, dancing along - maybe my soul flying out of the body....it also inspires me lots of related art creation. I love to share them with my friends either in happy time or in very bad time - the effect is amazing. I think the band will truly feel happy to see the music can have a big positive impact on the audiences - part of the essence and beauty of making it too, probably. Therefore, I still think my future b/f shall love Coldplay as deeply as much as I do, haha :) - I think Coldplay is my "lucky" star *~
  22. Hello, Steve. Hope you enjoy staying here. I do know there are many young peoole in China that love Coldplay :) Do you know Zheng Jun's cover of Yellow? it was probably 3 years ago or so....
  23. Hello everyone in this thread.....:) I am a chinese who study in USA now and a Coldplay Fan - mainly for their good acts! Just saw them in Kansas City for the first time! @coldplay_steph: Besides STEVESUI's recommendation, i highly recommend YunNan(SouthWest of China) province, where many minor nationalities' people live - thus it keeps a special culture atmosphere comparing to other places in China. The nice cities are LiJiang, DaLi, Shangri-La, and LuGu Lake area......As far as I know, that's the place where national/international people visit most during holidays. Very Welcome To China (Although I am in USA now) :P and I was once a Guide for a young couple from Poland whom I got to know from an acticity in Ilmenau, Germany with the motif of Celebrating Diversity :O. I think the travelling cost here is really not that much but you guys may have some 'Culture Shocks'...so may need to prepare for it a little bit. @anyone who are interested in knowing china's current situation, especially who have negative opinions on Politics/Government: here are some of my thoughts and I hope it can help mutual understanding. I hope it is supplementary to STEVESUI's response: 1. China right now is an one-party "controlling" country, but both the government and people would really like to realize "Democracy" which has been advocated back in 1919. But China has its own history/background which might make this process slow and different from other countries. ...Most of western countries experienced an uneasy process to realize Democracy with mature Law Legislation/Execution system, and so for China, who was still a feudal country at the beginning of 20th century, it can only take much time. 2. For communists/marxism/Communist Party of China - CPC's administration * The practice of the theory once led China to be an independent country where majority of the population - poor peasants (80% in history, around 40'-50') and *working class*(class - it is a term to describe the History though) people get liberated. That's why Communist Party was once supported by people. I think any country in this world, if majority of its population can get liberated/or their lives can be changed better from a revolution led a party, the people will support this party at least for a while? - it is totally because of the Historical Facts - similar to USSR but different - NO we try to learn the lessons and try to avoid the mistakes. But as I've said, the duration of One-Party in control have many drawbacks - our people also want CPC's administration more justice/transparent. "June, 4th, 1989" event is a proof. However, the concrete measures to be taken need to be found. So, personally, I am interested in Western Politics :) You do have a mature/modern governing system. * I agree on STEVESUI's view that there is really few people who do believe in marxism - I suppose it is a Freedom to believe in some theories even it is viewed outdated by most of people nowdays. Generally, common people just care about their personal daily life, education/Job/Insurance/Family. * I should say, the Communist Party of China cares more about the majority of the population. Their national policies are more Socialized. @Love_Coldplay: not sure understanding your question...you mean chinese people tend to work much hours for job generally? as far as I know, the number of national holidays/per year is similar to other countries, or even more. people who like to work/study diligently just want to have a better life, i think.....
