  1. A few relevant and irrelavant thoughts. First of all, 09/12 is a local mid-autumn festival - it says the moon would be the brightest and biggest for the whole year - it is a typical family/beloved reunion day. The moon symbolizes as Complete/Get Together, and there is a long tradition to put moon image into love story, quite emotionally. SO, it might create some special effects. Paradise, it is, in wish or imagination, but not always on earth. Given all the hints from the latest articles, Chris indicated 'a happy ending if it happens in a right sequence', then this song shall be a blessing one - in an immortal sense, maybe. It reminds a saying, the happy story says"...but, I love you." while the sad one goes:"I love you. But..." yes, the sequence is sensitive and important. We've paid a lot to know which sequence is right to be happy in the end, haven't we? One thing kept still in Coldplay's music, no matter how melancholy and shattered, there is always hope/warmth. Maybe Paradise means such hopes/faiths, more everlasting than an earthy happy ending...don't know. But I love autumn a lot, the wind, the sky, everything. Seems a beautiful moment in coming...
  2. Maybe it depends on whether it would fit into one of the three possible sequencing lists. As disclosed in the latest article/interview, a conceptual "love in oppression" album with a happy ending only if you hear it in a right order. I am guessing this song might fill in a blank part of the canvas - before they finish, we still don't know the whole picture and how it is blended.
  3. "You know when you're finished," Chris said yesterday. "We don't need to write any more songs now. We were feeling like we were missing one, that was it. It's basially quite a schizophrenic record. We're still putting it together. There's some very loud stuff, some very quiet stuff, it's seeing if they can live in harmony together." Maybe it is an instant inspiration. But as Chris has put; "Schizophrenic Record"? Another "healthy/hopeful" way to put it: an album full of life.

Thanks for the high-quality link. This is the first time I can hear clearly for the most part. It sounds so funny to me for the la la la part but it is true, I feel like from 2:21 [Ohhh to the end] around, very Chinese melody oriented - could be some Martial Arts theme song of a TV drama hehe. I doubt they have had any Chinese music experience, but it seems naturally Chinese - sensitive enough to catch the essence of certain type of music? I do think there might be further "adjustment" or simply, the studio version will present more subtle programming [some Chinese instruments maybe...] Although I truly hope I can see Coldplay tour in China [mainland] one day [The Cranberries has made a terrific show recently and we were so touched. Some people took thousands of miles to see this precious presence etc. and we sang along with the band]; but if not, still, looking forward to LP5 full of expecations - already in the energy of it. Like Chris said "We don't need to write any more songs now. We were feeling like we were missing one, that was it. It's basially quite a schizophrenic record. We're still putting it together. There's some very loud stuff, some very quiet stuff, it's seeing if they can live in Harmony together."
  5. I feel it shall be, a cohesive conceptual LP5. I wonder whether there is a Separation scene as the pragonists will be in different "worlds" [with different dimentions etc.] Would love see the final clue connecting each song, especially, the number in MTM.
  6. It is a bit off-topic. There is an era that I think some of the songs and singing remind me of Jeff Buckley - a more melody oriented, lightful Jeff Buckley~ not for the recent releases though. Coldplay's music never sounds out-of-boundary or crazy, less desperate pain but always a lifting at the end, hopeful. There is a line between feeling connected/cured and throwing yourself off and falling too low. They are eventually positive.

I don't why I feel an Oasis vibe there. Please don't "hit" for saying that. not very strong, just a little. I feel a quick capture for the whole rhythm/beats/movement - sth. familiar but can't recall. A bit grundge maybe... In such a convext, the voice is sure to be distorted. Good experiment, quite successful!!
  8. Pink Floyd came to my mind when I first listened to the opening of this song; I love the cool/jazz effects - off the major keys etc. I mean, yes, there are other bands similar to P.F. , but there is a connection. I love PF lot and I did think before that Coldplay has a psychological edge yet not that "Depressive" or too "cold/outer space". There are more emo. there. Due to Syd's drug and mental issues or not, there is weirdness and "psychdelic" tone embedded always - while Coldplay, most of time, still on "earth" and Happier. The first two CP albums have more resemblances - cool and chill-out.
  9. Greetings, to one of PRs here :)
  10. I think he/she is "friendly"? Ian, will you supervise the new comer ? :) I just like to decode things or have a try for guessing. CK, to me, like a horizonal picture [if not two alphabet], with a tunnel ahead in front of a highway/road, if looking from the right side. Or, basically, it is a little man right? Head C, then Arms |, then standing, < . Or | is a Wall, then a golden arrow will go through to C - like Sun... I think she/he is just too exciting to behave like this. What if it is all true~ hehe
  11. I think, from this June, it is like a Coldplay festival, isn't it? I can't say this is their Peak time but "waves after waves" - they've given us so much happiness and excitement. I still remember the very first time I listened to Yellow, a quiet/cool summer night, with a friend - I feel floating out - like "love at the first sight". As an astrology fan, I believe in universe synchronization. One of the wonderful life experiences is the universal one feeling you are a universal being - the mysterious connection and resonance. This is definitely a special year for "Co-latives" - the astrological progressed pattern might have sth. for that ~ For the bigger scope, Neptune just returns to Pisces - its own domain - to me, Coldplay always has a strong Neptune energy in them. The recent eclipses with Transiting North Node [evolutionary direction] closer to the center of Galaxy, residing in Spiritual/Idealism Sagittarius. Isn't it so, Spirit? :)
  12. I would sing my fav. Co. songs and teach them Chinese, lol :) I think it is quite possible that I will cover or remake/rearrange Co. songs. Then, I would love to interview them and receive lots of Jokes : ) I think they are so humorous in many ways. Even looking at them, I want to laugh out. I can be a very good local guide if they visit China one day - I hope they are aware of this, a good self-recommended candidate. lol.

How impressive for a new version of God Puts A Smile Upon Your Face - very "rocky" - I love it! Great to hear Life is For Living Live - those old songs make the show a complete of Co. presentation. Isn't it true that it is all with them, never totally forgotten; together with new characters and enrichment - still very energetic without losing the original pure/real touch - very transcedental. It is like we all walk along with them all these years. It is a bless!
  14. It is SOOO great! I haven't watched all the songs yet - but it is so exciting as if I were there: 1. They played What A Wonderful World!! Oi! 2. Love the outfits design – Chris wears a blue top with grey/dark pant while the other three wear the grey/dark top with colorful pants, haha 3. Love the high speeding cloud in Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall as if Chris is flying like a superman. 4. In Us Against World, lovely, Will joined Chris as a duo – he shall sing out more then - comparing to Chirs, a bit shy I guess, haha! There is a break and a restart, no Minus for this wonderful performance though. 5. At the end, fans sang the Ohhhhhh "waves" to see them off. Gwyneth smiles so happily with lots of light. One of the most beautiful moment shared by all "Co-latives" - Thanks!!! I might come for more. God, it is much much better than KC one - but I still heart that as that's the only live I saw. Maybe I shall make the Glastonbury as part of my travelling plan in the near future!
  15. It would be interesting if they have a pattern like that - and the first Alphabet of each Title makes the Album Title. I also love Double Album Idea - but they will not do it probably. But at least, they may have more cohesive clues connecting all the songs?

Last time when I was in NYC, I visited Museum of Jewish Heritage. There was an Anne Frank [not sure it is a permanent or short term] Exhibition there. When I googled, there is even an Anne Frank Center as well. As mentioned previously, one of the inspirational sources of LP5 comes from White Rose Movement when Chris was in NYC? If so, it is highly possible http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Rose "they opposed the Third Reich in the face of death." - I think this might be the scene relating to a few songs.
  17. There are more thoughts coming out - I love the song, the rhythm is impressive and gives the song a unique movement. I also love some interpretations here. Basically, the lyrics itself is about an intense or crutial/even dangerous scenario which need lots of caution, wisdoms and composure to make Right actions/moves. It seems the male/female know how it could turn out - they know the possible manipulations/distortion that the "third party" [an opposite force] can play [dirty maybe]. "One on road, one on you" - they need to cooperate with each other very well to handle this. It reminds a comment from John Lennon at certain points of his life "everything might be the opposite to what it is" I think the whole song reflects such a theme how we can choose to see or reveal the facts/truth. Minus - has its counterpart +; if + is supposed to be the positive forces of the universe, then Major Minus could be the most negative ones? Hence in a "fight" to light, we need to see and understand where the darkness lies and how to fight against it sucessfully? Together with the other two [and I feel even for the whole LP5] - there is a forever faith in Light even many might sacrifce lifes [it might be dangerous; there are much positive energies counterbalancing the negative - paving the road for the remainings to approach to the Light] -even they can't see the Light coming eventually, they see Death as coming Home - fighting for the ideal - no one can stop this universe force. They sing, smile, full of hope at the last minute of life. This part is more about my own Connections - I might go too far. I am very familiar with such - as in Chinese history, there are many people who died, even just before or after the revolutionary success; they did sing the song of Faith [L'Internationale - in its very basic historical context, it is about Standing Up and Fight for the Equality and Justice - Last year, I still heard it in a Rock Live - it was so touching that 50000 people sang this song all together. There is a long/complicated context behind - I hope that doesn't create misunderstandings here.] before the brutal killing - that we will have our own independence and people in this country will have a brighter future.
  18. That's the Right lyrics after listening to the song. I am thinking of "We are meeting for the first time -> 2, 1 - to one; maybe Singing this space symphony" the lyrics and the music are quite fit to each other; I love the cool-old-jazz style opening [some notes are quite "shivering"], then taking off to the outspace. I feel a reappearing of "early coldplay [doesn't like some B-sides...]" in this song - floating freely in a dream atmosphere, quite imaginative. Look forward to what would happen after Moving to the Mars or not - the first meeting, the flashback of scenes before the "explosion" when Home is still Home...I think it is not necessarily a physical one - could mean a place in your heart, an existence pervasive in the universe, safe and warm, being real and true, kind too - it is about "lovemanity" connecting all.
  19. I thought the new revealed one Moving to Mars has the most mysterious Coding [intentional] in it. If LP5 is a long roll of painting - then each song could mean a sub-composition. The tracklist could be the timeline or clue-line, through which we can see what a story they want to narrate.
  20. ^^^ I am trying to Decifer it when I first read the lyrics. I thinkt the background could be a "disaster" [could be wars - as Mars in astrology or myths standing for wars] threatens a first union etc. I wonder whether there is a chance to avoid this "earth disintegration" if we know the exact date/time? I also think, together with the other two songs - should have a bigger/clear picture. But still confused with the following - seems like the most important clue - the numbers: "We won't see the earth again in these seconds just remain unchanged 8 to 9, 9 to 10 ===> meaning "9"? we are meeting for the first time we might never meet again you and me we are meeting for the first time can't you see 76543 we are meeting for the first time ===> would 76543 be divided by a number like 365 days/year etc. " The numbers seem like Code embedded in the context for the Date/Time? As someone said, 21 is another clue as well. Maybe it is about an anniversary for a historical event? Like to see how the whole picture can be revealed gradually. So far, the theme of LP5 is quite heavy...no less than Viva La Vida
  21. I heard quite a few Russian songs using accordions when I was young - very impressive. I hope there would be new instruments experimented by the band. I like small/non-main stream instruments a lot, in Folk or traditional songs with local/historical influences.
  22. Maybe Sept. for tracklist, Oct. for the album. There would be a special way to announce it. Maybe the album would fit in Autumn theme. If there is any clue - what happened in Spring?...
  23. Major Minus Comet is like a cosmic waterfall full of mineral teardrops...
  24. I think the lyrics Co-Lives with the music [you can see the exchange, the "dialogue" etc.] - in other words - having their own lives. They will live in us as well, as the imprints of different phases/aspects of life.
  25. Nice to see the "interactive" creation - I mean, surely, there has been lots of co-inspirations between Co. and the Co.ers. I really like your design. There is a "coldplay" in you - very alive and expressive.
