  1. Definitely Coldplay. Definitely (maybe) for Oasis. Be Here Now is actually a good album, but it's overproduced and nothing compared to What's the Story and Definitely Maybe. When I want heartfelt, moving, and emotional songs, I go to Coldplay. When I want cheesy, overblown, epic rockers, I go to Oasis. (but I still like Oasis)
  2. Even though I get a little irritated when I hear Biblical references in CP songs (i'm an atheist), I tolerate it for the same reason I tolerate reference to Greek Mythology and books such as Nineteen Eighty-four (best book ever btw). I see them as harmless literary references. CP songs could be a lot more religious (listen to jeremy camp for real christian rock). As long as they're not preaching to me in their music, I'm cool. What do you think is their most religious song? Oh, and the "ghosts" are most likely the ghosts of someone's past. EDIT:
  3. Another way artists are getting non-album material out there is through release of non-album singles. Radiohead released four in the last 5 years. So, b-sides are definitely dead, but I think there will still be non-LP songs. EDIT: B-sides are not dead, they're just remixes of the single nowadays. Or the remix can be the single like ASFOS....
  4. I happen to be of those Coldplayers who don't like ASFOS, but then again, I didn't like Paradise when I first heard it. Now, Paradise is one of my favorite songs. ASFOS will definitely grow on me. I just wish that Chris didn't stutter and say "Cause you're a sky, cause you're a sky full of stars." It makes it sound like a remix (even without Avicii's production).
  5. Well, technically, we're getting three b-sides on the Target edition of Ghost Stories. They may not be bundled with singles, but I still see them as b-sides. Anyway, most artists nowadays don't release b-sides. I think it has something to do with that everyone buys from digital retailers now.
  6. Sorry, but this was just too funny. Anyway, I'm pretty sure once we hear all of ASFOS, we will forget that Avicii was ever involved in this song.
  7. Hi everyone I stumbled upon this different version of Trouble. It has a different piano riff than the album version.[video=youtube;UqwQAk4aJ1E] Does anyone know where I can get this version (or maybe post a flac download)?

Yeah, eight minutes is a little long for one song. Most likely, there will be a hidden track (perhaps a short instrumental?). But an eight minute epic would be awesome! Also, I think that Coldplay's longest song is Gravity at 6:18. For some reason, they don't like making songs longer than five and a half minutes.

We'd better hear some theremin or ondes Martenot on this track.
  10. Magic must peak at #42.
  11. I Ran Away Amsterdam Everything's Not Lost Square One Twisted Logic These all need to appear on more setlists (or for some songs, at least one!)
  12. Does anyone have the guitar and piano acoustic versions of this song? Thanks in advance.
  13. The Scientist. Only then I didn't know it was Coldplay. Then I got VLVODAAHF for Christmas and instantly became a fan and discovered that they did The Scientist.
  14. Since when are fans patient? ;) Darn, this means we'll have to wait again. Oh well.
