  1. Well it's been over 24 hours and there's only been 6 votes...I'll leave voting open for at least another day. Sparky, are you gonna move the thread? Please? :\
  2. ^ great point! I didn't notice the Coldplay Games section! Just sent Sparky a PM. :)
  3. I wonder how we can attract more publicity. Any ideas?
  4. I was thinking about ending the round after 24 hours but seeing that there are only 4 votes right now I might wait until we get at least 15 votes. We'll see when the time comes I guess.
  5. I thought about including unreleased songs such as Ode to Deodorant but decided against it because, well, they're unreleased. Hopefully these eliminations prove popular enough because we definitely can do an unreleased tracks elimination in the future! (that is, the ones we've heard, otherwise Car Kids would be the undisputed winner. :P) Therefore we must jump up and down, wave our arms, and shout at people to come and participate in the elimination! :laugh3: p.s. I love Harmless, it's gotta be one of my favorite unreleased songs.
  6. So I know you guys have done elimination games in the past, but this one works a bit differently. It's pretty simple: just post and vote for your least favorite track of this era of Coldplay! When the round is over the song with the most votes is eliminated. This'll continue until there is only one song left, which is the winner! Are you guys ready? Don't Panic Shiver Spies Sparks Yellow Trouble Parachutes High Speed We Never Change Everything's Not Lost Life Is for Living Bigger Stronger No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground Such a Rush Brothers and Sisters Easy to Please Only Superstition See You Soon For You Careful Where You Stand Help Is Round the Corner My first vote goes to Parachutes.
  7. If AHFOD is an EDM album I will be officially done with Coldplay. Forever. No exceptions.
  8. It's possible that it was (or still is being) considered for inclusion on LP7, just like how Atlas was on an early tracklisting of Ghost Stories.
  9. I have a feeling that upon seeing Random Acts as the supposed title of LP6, Chris thought "Wow, that sounds amazing! Wish I'd thought of that!" and decided to name LP7 that just to screw with us. If that rumor is true of course. Until we have concrete evidence, your guess is as good as mine.
  10. I hope Miracles has some lyrics that allude to WWII. That would be uncharted territory for Coldplay, discussing the experiences of war using the same emotion they've mastered all throughout their career. Don't want to get anyone's hopes up though!
  11. I might be wrong, but wasn't Miracles one of the unreleased MX tracks either seen on a chalkboard or in the MX artwork itself?
  12. I don't know how rare this is. My X&Y copy also has a black cover (but the disc is blue).
  13. Ha ha this is getting a little ridiculous. Is Aphex Twin pop because he never uses drums or guitar?
  14. Why do people think that GS is poppy? Personally, GS is Coldplay's least accessible album. While there are poppy songs like Magic and ASFOS, most of the songs are laid back and minimalistic without CP's signature huge choruses. This doesn't fit the catchy, sometimes annoying, melodies of pop. MX is pop. Not this.
  15. Trippy hardcore dubstep with elements of symphonic reggae bluegrass metal. Pioneered by none other than the amazing Coldplay with LP7.
  16. NOOOO!!!! Please don't change the only guitar solo on this album! And what is so inacessible about the solo? It reminds me of the solo in U2's Even Better Than the Real Thing. And everyone loves U2, right?
  17. To me, The 2nd Law wasn't as adventurous as GS. The 2nd Law took risks, but Muse's signature, epic style was still there, even on experimental tracks like Unsustainable. On GS, Coldplay's signature style has been ditched for the most part, except on tracks like Oceans and O. Other tracks, like Midnight and Another's Arms, are quite drastic shifts from Coldplay's usual style.
  18. Is this song a reference to Pink Floyd?
  19. That would be...messy.
  20. This has got to be the craziest and funniest thread I have ever seen on any forum. :laugh3:
  21. thetwinparadox replied to a post in a topic in Ghost Stories (2014)
Can someone send me the link?
  22. Hey, if anyone has bought the new album on itunes, can you PM me DNA? I already bought the album on CD and don't want to buy it again. Curse these stupid "album only" bonus tracks! :veryangry2:
  23. What? Keane has some songs that rival Coldplay! (But they're definitely inferior) For me, I like some of Maroon 5. But I hate their new material such as One More Night. Oh god. :veryangry2:
