  1. Coldplay's new single is premiering on Nick Grimsaw's Radio 1 show in 40-odd minutes from now. Coldplay themselves will be be talking to Grimshaw immediately afterwards.
  2. There's a livechat for those of us listening in. Feel free to join in! Here's the link.
  3. Awesome! Thanks for sharing! :D
  4. This is a friendly reminder that there is a livechat for the new single premiere! If you'd like to join, here's the link! :)
  5. I've created a livechat on Chatzy as to alleviate some of the traffic in the (very likely) event of site lag during the premiere; it'll make for a good way to scream all the fanboy out of your soul in real-time. :P Link's here. I'll be reposting the link regularly in this thread before it happens. ~
  6. I predict by an hour after the song premieres, this thread will be >1000 pages. :laugh3:
  7. I find it funny that with "Oldplaying", you're implying timeless music is "old". :laugh3:
  8. I'm fortunate enough to live on the other side of the planet, so it'll be post-afternoon for me, 6:45pm to be exact! :D
  9. I couldn't really care less about the charts, either. They only tell how much money songs + albums made and how many times a song has been played on the radio. Whether or not this new single does well on the charts shouldn't matter; Coldplay already have a large fanbase to sell a million albums in the first year, I don't think low chart performance will affect them much, and even then, it's incredibly hard to imagine something as big as Coldplay not making the top 40 at all off the first, and even second, singles.
  10. Viva's promotion was completely different to this, though. Do you not remember our old friend Prospekt? He'd probably would've been useful right about now! XD Also, they unveiled Viva two months before it came out and a month still before Violet Hill was released as the first single.
  11. My extremely far-fetched theory: since they covered up the release date of the album, would this signify that they're intending to air the entirety of the album, rather than just one track?
  12. Also, it was written in four digits as in 24-hour time; if it were 7 at night, then it would've been 19:45, not 07:45, otherwise there's no need for the "0" for the first digit.
  13. Ehyup. I think this pretty much confirms all the talk about the "big surprise" that's happening on Radio 1 tomorrow morning! :D
  14. Video has been posted; it's a teaser for tomorrow showing one of the AHFOD posters on the Underground with a piece of paper reading Friday, 07:45.
  15. Also keep the Twitter up and F5 the hell out of it guys; apparently the tweets are posted exactly one minute before Facebook posts lol EDIT: And the official Coldplay website in the possible event of an official album unveiling.
  16. My bets are on 31 minutes past the hour they'll post something. :P
  17. Now, we should be expecting something on the band's Facebook page anytime within the next half-hour, if we are to follow the pattern of posts on their page so far; the last two video snippets were posted at 4:27pm and 4:29pm, respectively.
  18. What I don't understand, to be honest, is why people are comparing the way Coldplay are promoting the new album with how they've done it in the past and assuming it's going to be the same. It's not going to be the same. If it were the same, we'd probably have gotten a music video and single back in September and we'd know everything about the album by now, like what happened in the last era. Or, we would've gotten an EP, half of the album already performed live and two singles and music videos like what happened with MX. Right now, we are less than a month away from the release of A Head Full of Dreams, and so far we only know the album title, what the art design is like, and only a glimpse of what the album could potentially sound like. They've splattered posters across the London Underground with the release date, and we aren't even sure when the lead single is going to be released. This is not the same as Mylo or Ghost Stories; Coldplay almost never does the same things twice, whether it be music or promotion of.
  19. You took the words right out of my mouth! :laugh3:
  20. I've gone ahead and fixed that. I've replaced the text with "["Adventure of a Lifetime" has not been released. Check back soon!]" Genius works exactly like Wikipedia; it's run by editors and moderators, so it definitely ain't a reliable source of information.
  21. Is it me, or is Jonny's face in this pic utterly awkward and hilarious? :laugh4:
  22. [video=youtube;doUm7viV9oc]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doUm7viV9oc
  23. I'm not expecting an MX 2.0. From what we've learned from Ghost Stories alone, Coldplay can bust a completely different sound from seemingly nowhere. I highly doubt they've run out of ideas. I'm expecting the next Coldplay album to be just as radically different as the past six albums were. We might end up with an experimental ambient album, or a country-influenced acoustic alt-rock album or even an EDM-centric electronic rock album. Who knows? Anything is possible. That's my two cents.
