Wouldn't those be epilouges or codas to the albums, rather than endings?

Here's my (probably unpopular) opinion (that may or may not be clouded by recent-ism): Up&Up is the best song Coldplay has ever done!~ :D
  5. It seems The Hardest Part will no longer be lonely in the category of Coldplay music videos I hate. :|
  6. A snippet has been released on Facebook, included within a compilation of yesterday's snippets.

The song's simply about believing in life and love, and that life's better if you see things optimistically. Lyrically speaking, from what we've heard so far, the album talks a lot about life and love, and this is simply the perfect conclusion to that, in my opinion. At it's bare essentials, the song tells us that life is awesome, and that's always a great thing to go out there and say. :)
  8. It's kinda hilarious and awesome at the same time that the title of the song is literally stylized as the colour spectrum:
  9. Dear Coldplay, You are going down a path I cannot follow. I fully support your decision to turn into complete monkeys, but do realize that now you are primates, it would surely take an infinite amount of time before you guys can even write a decent new album. Therefore, I will not be listening to your new album, as I'm almost certain that it will be a random assortment of notes bashed on a keyboard. Best wishes, Chamonix. /jks
  10. Would love, love, LOVE to see The Temper Trap again :3 [video=youtube;TWT1IMqae4A]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWT1IMqae4A
  11. I'm not sure what you mean by this. Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, X&Y, Viva la Vida, Mylo Xyloto and Ghost Stories are all "rock" albums by nature. Anybody who knows the analytics of music genres might disagree on what exactly Coldplay are; whether or not they should be generally classified as alternative rock, soft rock, pop rock, but the consensus is that they're a rock band. "Mainstream" is not a genre, and people who say Coldplay are a pop band have obviously never heard of the term "pop rock". One Direction is a pop band. Coldplay is not.
  12. Yo, guys, who exactly is who in the artwork for A Head Full of Dreams? I know somebody in this thread mentioned that Phil Harvey told us, but I can't find Phil Harvey's words, nor am I bothered to surf through all these pages just to find it. >.< All I know is that apparently Phil's the one on the cloud and Jonny is the one diving...
  13. It seems the consensus is that "Adventure of a Lifetime" has very good production and instrumentation, but the songwriting is rubbish.
  14. Coldplay + Disco was a combination I had not even considered or even thought before. It's a great sounding track; very colorful and definitely very "groovy" as most people have put it. I do have to say, the lyrics are rather weird and a bit hard to understand outside the general jist of "I like you alot, and we need to be together". Coming off the back of the much more mature and artful Ghost Stories, it seems either the artful charge the band had with the last album had left them, or maybe they've put in the extra effort to emulate disco music's typically shoddy lyricism :laugh3: In my honest opinion, it's a lovely track, but not one of the best things that Coldplay's done. One thing that worries me, now, is whether or not A Head Full of Dreams will be Coldplay's very own Hot Space; an experiment in dance music that'll go sour pretty quickly. :worried:
  15. And... this is the part where the site starts to melt down....
  16. Yeah, we might have to abandon that. Apparently Chatzy limits the chat room to 10 people :(
  17. I fetched it from Jose's link :)
