Coldplay have had outstandingly large numbers of #1 hot-shot debuts since X&Y and have never had an album peak below #1 on the UK albums chart. Even Parachutes. I highly doubt Ghost Stories is going to flop. It's going to be in the top three, if not another hot-shot #1, in a number of countries once again. The big misconception is that albums will flop or become huge successes simply because it's good or not. The music industry does not work like that at all. Albums are bought and sold like any other product. People are mostly going to buy Ghost Stories because it's an album by Coldplay and they like Coldplay's music.

I don't get the hate for Avicii. He's awesome at what he does! I honestly think True is one of the best Dance records in a long while!

Judging from the preview, it definitely sounds like Avicii's production.

The Atlas Project knows too much. That's why they're a legitimate source for Coldplay nowadays!

This. If the band wanted it to be so badly kept secret, why did they perform it in front of an uncontrolled crowd such as the opening night at Cologne? They know already from Austin City Limits that they can't possibly perform an unreleased song in front of an open audience and get away with it!

Ghost Stories seems to be the most artistic thing the band has ever put out. Even more out-there than Viva la Vida to put it one way, since that album had art written all over it. I've tasked myself into annotating all the Ghost Stories songs on Rock Genius and, to be fairly honest, the context, themes and lyrics of the album are well thought through and very complex for recent Coldplay!

So the piano is a studio recording played through the speakers I suppose.

From what it sounds on the audio, Chris is on a Piano. Apart from that it seems like the normal setup.

I really hope that it is an 8-minute epic rater than some scummy little bonus track. I love really long songs! As long as it isn't repeating the chorus six times, that is.
