  4. I place a million pound bet that The Sun will make a headline similar to this or along those lines. :P
  5. Somehow I knew in the back of my head that someone was going to make the comparison to Muse eventually.
  6. I honestly still think the music video for "Speed of Sound" is one of Coldplay's absolute best videos. It sure as hell hooked me into Coldplay when i first saw it all those years ago! :D
  7. I will forever remember this as the statement to define the initial overall reaction to this video. It's "The Hardest Part" all over again!

  9. Dayumn, another insider with infinite knowledge has infiltrated our forums!
  10. BIG NEWS, GUYS!
  11. Foster the People - Supermodel
  12. That Division Bell still rings for me today. First listened to the album as a kid, and it still gives me chills to this day. :D
  13. The Hunting Party is such an interesting record. It's an awesome record, but the whole thing just sounds, well, different. I get fuzzy feelings listening to the record, but I'll probably get used to it's sound in a few months or so. :P
  14. Not sure why this thread is still in the "All Your Friends" sub-forum anymore... :laugh3:
  15. I'm still amused by how people are disheartened by there not being a physical release, even though we're living in 2014. :laugh3:
  16. Ghost Stories and The 2nd Law are on other ends of the musical spectrum, really. Both are experimental albums, but Ghost Stories is more ambient, calm and passive album with a message of never letting go of love. The 2nd Law, however, is a fluctuating, explosive and unrestful album with an anti-capitalist message. Very different indeed.
  17. I thought Coldplaying wouldn't descend into this kind of madness.
  18. I've always had an alternate track listing for Viva la Vida, and it goes like this: 1. The Escapist (Intro) / Life in Technicolor ii 2. Glass of Water 3. Lost! 4. 42 5. Rainy Day w/ original Death and All his Friends intro 6. Lovers in Japan 7. Strawberry Swing 8. Postcards from Far Away 9. Viva la Vida 10. Violet Hill 11. Prospekt's March / Poppyfields / The Escapist
  19. Forget that! Mylo Xyloto in 5.1! That's a massive technicolor explosion right in your face right there!
  20. When I was in Grade 4, I was so desperate to get a copy of Coldplay's new album, Viva la Vida, that I had asked my friend if he could scavenge it for me. I had to write down the name of the album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, on a piece of toilet paper since I didn't have a piece of paper available at the time. Eugène Delacroix
  21. I have noticed that Ghost Stories has been placed as no.4 on a vast majority of everyone's lists. Is there some sort of divine association with Ghost Stories and the number 4 or something?
  22. 1. Ghost Stories =2. Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends =2. Mylo Xyloto 4. X&Y 5. A Rush of Blood to the Head 6. Parachutes
  23. The Grammys are so illegitimate nowadays though. They really only nominate the most popular and commercially safe albums and artists for the awards to attract viewers and such these days.
