  1. 81.670 mhz and 66.716 mhz are giving me another English message that tries to convince you to choose Scotland for your next low Earth orbit satellite launch. ?
  2. 81.466 mhz and 85.373 mhz is giving me English dialogue that essentially describes the classic idea of the music of the spheres.
  3. Alien Radio... why am I not surprised that this title has popped up again? And I was hoping it would. I'm trying to find a photo of the guitar in question where the text is clearly visible, but I haven't been able to find it yet. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unreleased_songs_by_Coldplay
  4. I'd actually quite like a James Murphy collaboration ?
  5. I suppose it could be an instance like the last 20 seconds of this December 2010 recording when Chris plays a little bit of the Bani Adam intro as a little interlude after Trouble. Or, he could have been improvising. Or, there's the off chance that he went back to that Trouble In Town performance and thought to himself "I really like that random bit of piano, I should record it so we can use it on the album."
  6. Yes, it's the Sun and the Daily Mail. It's nothing we don't already know, they are just finally catching on to what us fans have discovered about the Music of the Spheres trademark.
  7. I want Jon Hopkins to contribute again. Midnight and The Escapist are amazing, as are the ambient remixes of MX songs that he contributed to Live 2012. Except this time, I want his contributions to be completely new. The Escapist and Midnight came from snippets of old Jon Hopkins compositions and the band just added to them.
  8. I could be you You could be me [Arabesque] VS See the forest there in every seed Angels in the marble waiting to be freed [Up&Up]
  9. I wonder if this performance will be like the 2015 iHeartRadio show where the only "new" parts of their set were the outfits, instrument decorations, and stage decorations. They debuted the AHFOD aesthetic, but that was it. No new songs until they played Amazing Day at the Global Citizen Festival. Who knows, maybe they'll do the same thing? Just depends on whether or not they'll have at least one new song rehearsed, and whether or not they plan on releasing something relatively quickly after the Music of the Spheres trademark becomes theirs. I wouldn't be surprised if the album is almost done and they spent most of the past year finishing it, sometimes remotely to lockdowns and sometimes together. Anyways, I'm wondering who the next collaboration will be with. Each of the last several albums included at least one collaboration, and they've done several EP/non-album collabs... I know a lot of people here are wanting the band to work with Dua Lipa, but will that actually come to pass? What if Chris's Grammy appearance with Brittany Howard was a hint that she's appearing on Music of the Spheres? I for one would like that a lot, especially if the song is reminiscent of her solo work or Alabama Shakes.
  10. The snippet reminds me of Wedding Bells. It's not particularly stunning to me but then again, it's like a little sketch. I need to track down the full interview to see if Chris gave any details at all.

  12. There's an indie artist I love named Tyler Shaw, whose solo project is known as Aviators. He has made some incredible music, especially over the last five or so years. He's known for music inspired by video games, TV shows, cartoons, and movies, but he has also written multiple albums that, together, tell the story of people fighting for freedom in a dystopian society. Kind of like Mylo Xyloto, but darker. This is my personal favorite Aviators song, Wolves.
  13. I'm thinking it'll just be one song, considering how much the award ceremony has to get through in one night. One song, then move on. But yeah, now that I think of it, it'll be one of the songs you mentioned... though each of them, especially Everyday Life and Trouble In Town, would likely sound better if Jonny were to join Chris. He really steals the show when they play those two songs. I hope he joins! But it's alright if he doesn't.
  14. I'm thinking it'll be either Everyday Life or Viva la Vida. Or maybe Chris will play that solo version of A Sky Full Of Stars from the Everyday Life shows. I'm really not expecting any new material.
  15. Wooden Yes, I was listening to We Never Change a little bit ago ?

  17. Not surprising, but at least this allows Coldplay to play the festival if it doesn't conflict with anything they've already scheduled. I have a hunch that MOTS will come out by the end of 2021 and 2022 is going to be filled with touring, as long as it's safe to attract such crowds by that point. This definitely fits with the Fit For The Future campaign that was mentioned a couple pages ago. It's environmentalism. I have a feeling they are going to do a lot of promoting for environmental causes in the next few years, similar to how they promoted fair trade (to the point where Chris would draw the Make Trade Fair equal sign on his hand and decorate his piano with it) back in the 2000s. I find it intriguing that they included a snippet of Talk in the announcement on Instagram. But I really can't imagine them having any special reason to. Maybe it was just chosen by somebody in the band's social media team and they just went with it.

  20. I know Debs Wild has an account here. The very same Debs Wild who discovered the band in 1998, was once The Oracle on Coldplay's website, and has been friends with the band in some capacity since the very beginning. I'm not gonna ping her with a mention (her username is just her first and last name if you want to look it up), but she pops in from time to time and was last active less than a month ago. Maybe she peeks at our outrageous speculation from time to time and mentions it to the band. ? Anyways, I have my doubts that Angel Lopez posting songs from Viva is very significant. Maybe it's just a hint that he's working on LP9 and nothing more. The album could sound nothing like Viva and 1:36 could be a coincidence. DAAHF could be a coincidence, too. No matter what, I just think it's cool that he actually listens to Coldplay instead of just working with them and never having anything to do with them again. In fact, he has been a fan for a long time: https://www.columbusalive.com/entertainment/20191122/from-galloway-to-la-inspiring-journey-of-producer-angel-lopez
  21. Well, I guess FFTF2024 is probably unrelated to Music of the Spheres. It was just a little easter egg for a new environmental and charitable initiative that the band is probably involved with. And it goes along with their commitment to make future touring more environmentally friendly.
  22. I wanted that Daft Punk collab to happen. I hoped that maybe Coldplay would actually consider it for LP9. If Coldplay were to do anything futuristic or space-age with the MOTS aesthetics, then Daft Punk would fit right in. But, alas... as of today, Daft Punk are no more. This probably doesn't mean anything. Maybe he's working on MOTS, though?

  25. I'm thinking The Race was absolutely considered for AHFOD as well. Look at that "kaleidoscope" lyric in what appears to be the chorus, as well as the stuff about "exploding colors." Oh, oh, oh This heart is a volcano Explodes in colors I wonโ€™t fall, I wonโ€™t fall below I want love, colors all explode Kaleidoscope (Of the night) Kaleidoscope (Of the night) Kaleidoscope, Kaleidoscope You may be right about the bridge lyrics in The Race. They may also tie in with Adventure of a Lifetime. And ever since I first heard X Marks The Spot, I wondered if the "so I race for it" lyrics had anything to do with The Race. The Race hadn't leaked yet in any form, but I definitely knew it existed... I just wonder what lyrics the song originally had back in 2013 and what changes may have been made as the band worked on it over the next few years...
