Thematically, this album will probably be very similar to MX. The actual sound, however, won't be quite the same. There will be the usual Coldplay sing-alongs and anthems, but they will be done differently from MX. I'm expecting a brighter version of the Ghost Stories sound with heavier rhythms and more real drums. Something tells me that AHFOD will have 1-2 songs that contain echoes of the first three albums, a little like Ghost Story, Oceans, and Atlas.

Agreed... the pieces are falling into a place for a self-released LP8. They already have an idea of what they want to do after the conclusion of the AHFOD era.

I love to experiment by inserting them into the album tracklistings. They can add a lot more depth to an already amazing album!

I don't care the slightest bit about competition with Adele. If she is #1 instead of Coldplay, that's fine by me. Quantity is what the charts focus on, rather than quality.

Those are exactly my thoughts. There's a chain of people we know that goes all the way to the band. I happen to know the half-sister of an actor who a while ago co-starred in a movie with someone who knows Chris. So we are all connected somehow... it's mysterious.
