  3. Cemeteries of London vs. Do I Wanna Know? (Arctic Monkeys)
  4. I'm sure that a Scientist wluld agree that if one eats too much pizza, then they are doing something that is bad for their health. Listening to Coldplay is good for one's health!! :D I'm being serious... couple of years ago a study listed Strawberry Swing as one of the most relaxing songs ever recorded. If something is relaxing, then it helps relieve stress, which is good for your health. New word: officer EDIT: my mistake, why didn't I see the post before mine?!
  5. That's amazing!!! I hope you got or get the job :) it's funny how Coldplay somehow find their way into our lives. A few months ago, I was really nervous while waiting in an oral surgeon's office before getting wisdom teeth removed. Then, We Never Change appeared on the office's playlist. Needless to say, I was pretty relaxed :)
  6. I have mixed feelings about that... on one hand I'd love to hear something new but on the other hand what if the songs are amazing and we never get a recorded version to enjoy? :worried:
  7. I wanted Warning Sign to go to the final round with Politik :( *sigh* at least one of those two is still alive... My vote this round goes to God Put A Smile Upon Your Face.
  8. God Put A Smile Upon Your Face The only reason I'm voting for GPASUYF is that on the album it doesn't quite have the power that it has live.
  9. Hmmm... an elevator allows you to travel up and down inside a building. If you like, you can defy Gravity and go all the way up to the top floor. This allows you to truly get A View From The Top. At night, the view could look similar to lots of Xylobands in a dark stadium. :D New word: window
  10. Double post (why is it always me?!) :P
  11. Ahh! ;) Deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA, forms the genome. The genome is the genetic code that makes up who we are. Another non-biological code is the Baudot code. X&Y uses the Baudot code on its cover. Square One also has the line "deciphering the codes in you." New word: pyramid
  12. My apologies for the bump but I was looking through old threads and I found this!! It's too entertaining to sit around with no activity whatsoever. Anyways, I will continue with the word "dirt" from the previous post. Dirt is where a tree can grow. A tree is mostly made of wood. Houses are often made of wood. A house is a type of building. A building can contain a business. A bakery is a business. Coldplay have a studio called the Bakery. :happy2: If anybody's interested, I choose mountain as the next word.
  13. Once Upon A Time In The West soundtrack (Ennio Morricone) vs Speed of Sound
  14. ^ Agreed. Honestly it's hard to NOT find a Coldplay song with a beautiful melody. Few artists are as skilled as Coldplay in writing powerful melodies.
  15. I wonder if we'll hear multiple new tracks at the festivals or just one. I don't want very much of the album played live prior to its release like MX and X&Y were... it's like being told what your birthday gift will be months before recieving it.
  16. It all makes sense now. Either the Hardest Part or Low must be the song. I only casually listen to Keane so I didn't realize the connection immediately.
  17. ^ Those come to mind for me as well (though I wish we had a better recording of A View From The Top so that we could truly appreciate it). For me, Hurts Like Heaven, Lovers In Japan, Moses, In My Place, Daylight, One I Love, and Major Minus also come to mind. They each have those catchy yet powerful melodies that can fill an arena.
  18. It's now September in most of the world... maybe the 14th or 15th will be the day, both dates are right before the iHeart festival
  19. I've been voting The Scientist but actually this time my vote is for Crests of Waves.
  20. 1. LP7 2. Politik 3. Violet Hill 4. Lost! 5. Magic 6. LP7 7. Cemeteries of London 8. The Scientist 9. LP7 B-stage 10. Don't Panic 11. LP7 12. Midnight A-stage 13. LP7 14. Hurts Like Heaven 15. Viva La Vida 16. God Put A Smile Upon Your Face (MX tour version) 17. A Rush Of Blood To The Head 18. LP7 19. Charlie Brown 20. Everything's Not Lost 1st Encore (C-stage) 21. Speed of Sound 22. Sparks 23. LP7 2nd Encore (A-stage) 24. LP7 25. Clocks 26. Fix You 3rd Encore: 27. LP7
  21. For example I don't consider Parachutes to be the best by any means but sometimes it just fits where I am in life better than the others do.
  22. I'm not dazzled by absolutely everything they've done but I don't necessarily dislike any of the albums either. Besides, depending on my mood and what's going on in my life, I may prefer to listen to one album/era over the others for the time being.
  23. The Scientist This is starting to get so hard!!!
  24. Well it's Monday yet again ;)
