Favorite song performed live?
I like how Chris makes little changes to songs when he sings them live, for example "the shattered windows and the sound of Will's drums" or location-specific changes to the lyrics of Politik. @penelopeja here you go :): [video=youtube;PavXZzYFcug]

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
That is beautiful :D and a perfect description of how we feel haha!

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Ahh, another Monday. I do think that a September release is more likely but I'm not completely ruling out the next 24 hours. We'll see what happens. :)

Favorite song performed live?
Yes! In my opinion those live performances are way better than the original recorded versions (and the originals are great!).

Lol what did I just post? That rhymes horribly :P

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I still wish we could get some update from the studio. Whether it's a random tweet or a Roadie 42 blog post, I don't care what it is. Tweeting that #ResurrektProspekt thing to @coldplay wouldn't be a bad idea

One Last Time - Original song On Guitar
I'm pretty impressed :) I really like the extended chorus at the end and that is where your vocals really soar IMO. Keep it up ;)

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
If Coldplay just kept trying to make AROBTTH over and over again they'd have gotten bland. I prefer an artist who isn't afraid to add something new to their sound and Coldplay are afraid of being stagnant. Why else did they make something truly different like VLVODAAHF? :)

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I wonder if someone like Debs Wild or Phil ever checks the discussion on here. Debs is an inactive member and of course Phil was interviewed so it is a possibility.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
That's right, Viva La Coldplay! :jonny: :will: :guy: :chris:

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Agreed. I'm a member of a U2 message board and this is far milder than some of the discussion on there. At least here, someone doesn't say they like one song and get called a troll simply for opening their mouth.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
That's a real possibility. The name Coldplay has power in the industry but for all we know Parlophone may just want as many sales as possible. Why else would Coldplay have scrapped an acoustic record in 2010 in order to follow through with a distinctively more "pop" approach on MX?

ELIMINATION #1: PARACHUTES
My vote goes to Trouble.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Oh well... on the bright side at least the album is being talked about.

Coldplay vs Others
Warning Sign vs Losing My Religion (R.E.M.)

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
That's right! We must think positive. If Chris decides to hang out with or listen to One Direction, Justin Bieber, etc. then there's absolutely no guarantee that they will influence the sound of the new album. Will would not allow it ;)

First Single Predictions!
Why did I forget about poor Ghost Story? You're right, it would've fit perfectly on AROBTTH.

First Single Predictions!
^ Magic does remind me of Oldplay and new Coldplay but IMO the best blend of the two from the past few years is Moving to Mars. That track has some of the newer, more electronic sound but if you remove some of that while keeping the spacey atmospheric elements, MtM could fit nicely into X&Y.

Xylo Tee shirts
That reminds me of the "Mylo Xylotwo" that supposedly was in the MX tour booklet.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Agreed! Resurrect Prospekt!

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Wow! I've always liked the Foo Fighters (first band I ever listened to) so that's cool to see. Last year, fans in Dave Grohl's hometown campaigned for a concert and sure enough the band played there.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
I feel you. I'm one of only few people I know who prefers to buy a traditional CD. There's something about holding an album in my own hands that makes it feel much more valuable than simply a bunch of MP3 files.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Hmm, you've got a point there. GS was announced 1-2 weeks before a festival and ETIAW was released right before summer festivals. The same strategy has worked in the past so there's no reason they won't do it again.
