1. You Only Live Twice
2. The more I watch the film, the more I love Ghost Stories. That part was so well done by Mat and it really shows how Chris was a mess back then. And the feeling put into that album turns it into the best Coldplay album in terms of pureness because it came straightaway and not because some record company pushed them to make one, like in X&Y. And I'm a oldplayer, so I reckon, musically, X&Y is much better than GS, but GS holds a place in my heart that X&Y might never get because I can find situations in my life much more relatable to GS where it works like a healer to be honest. Well done Chris.
3. Just found Debs book available in a store nearby and now I'm divided into buying the book OR the butterfly package, as I don't wanna throw away 60€ at once. Being a Coldplay fan is a difficult and expensive job.
4. You have subtitles? Could you send me the English (or Portuguese if/when you have them) please? Thanks!
5. Off-topic but... I also saw it! It was 10€ in Fnac. I thought in buying it, but I already have Viva La Vida and I don't wanna pay twice for the same thing. Too bad it's made of card and not a hard plastic CD case but I never saw those in Portugal sadly. I thought I had my money better invested in another magnificent album, Sound of Silver from LCD Soundsystem (only at 5€), so I bought that :D. But I'll buy Prospekt's one day!
6. The rumours say they're playing in a stadium in Portugal. So it wouldn't be on a festival. I'm really excited to get some news.
7. Exactly what I thought. I already saw all those interviews 1000 times on YouTube lol.
8. I'm an idiot. Been recording my screen this whole time, just to find out there's a download button...
9. Currently watching the film in Portugal by prime video (with vpn, fake credit card, etc...). I'm recording the screen. Might be able to share. Please don't arrest me.
10. Here we go to the hype train only to wait for years until the album is released. Pretty much like the LP7 and Live 2017 threads :p EDIT: So the rumour of a concert in Lisbon (and probably a tour) next year might not be that false...
11. Also, I asked the staff at the movie theater to give me one of the posters but they didn't do it. Bad people. :(
12. I dragged with me a friend of mine to watch the movie. He isn't a fan of Coldplay at all but he was my best company after breaking up with my Coldplay fan girlfriend. I was waiting for some mocking commentaries coming from him, but he surprised me for the best. He said something so right about the film: "besides getting to know the background process of the band, the film spreads a bigger message. And that is the message of friendship". He was right.
13. F*cking hell! Going through weeks without a single spoiler about this! And then... Facebook: Coldplay is live streaming now. Me: Oh nice. A Q&A with Mat! Interviewer: So there's a scene where Guy... *delete facebook* Nowhere's safe anymore.
14. Already said on Twitter, but I really hope you get better as soon as possible! Your health is way more important than this, and like ColdplayKB said, the movie experience might not be as good as we're all thinking it would be. I hope that those extra minutes will make you a little less sad and i also hope that this fantastic community cheered you up. This is what I love in the Coldplay Fandom. It's like a big, worldwide family. We support each other and we are there in the bad and good moments. Get well soon!
15. I understand all you're saying. I'm also a little sceptical about this. But the 'insider' who said this is known for predicting this kind of stuff. Yes, he fails sometimes too. This could one of the ones where he's wrong, but who knows. Perhaps it's the kaleidoscope tour Chris said a while back or a Parachutes 20th anniversary tour... Who knows what's going in those little heads.
16. Mobile Link: https://twitter.com/Coldplay_fix_me/status/1062016168930754560 Another source with rumours of a 2019 tour tba after the movie is released.
17. A well known and with very good reputation portuguese music magazine just announced that a Coldplay concert in Lisbon is going to happen in 2019. Phil said they won't be touring until 2021 but this magazine is trusteable. The link to the rumour: https://bit.ly/2OCLXxG
18. When I read the first words of your Gravity review I was so close of losing my sh*t, but then I read the rest of your sentence :D Anyway, I liked the way you did this, so I'm also making my review of Coldplay's discography worst songs: EARLY YEARS Only Superstition: It's a listenable song. But that's it. Nothing much to add. Easy to Please: I really don't like the background sounds in this song, but must admit that gives a characteristic sound to it. This song's problem is the fact that it's too slow for me 'PARACHUTES' ERA For You: It really hurts me to put this song here. I liked it some years ago, but now... It just doesn't flow on me. I have to skip it. (I like the drums in this song). 'A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD' ERA A Whisper: I just feel like it's 4 minutes of the same rhythm and the same lyrics. I don't like it. 1.36: It's just not a good song. It's average. I Bloom Blaum: trying not to sleep while listening to it. 'X&Y' ERA What If: I have no reason to dislike this song. I guess it just doesn't fit into my head. It's a good song if you just discovered it. But I got "tired" of it after listening a couple times. Sleeping Sun: It's just not good melodically speaking. 'VIVA LA VIDA' ERA Lost!: Never liked this song. Every single version of it. Rainy Day: The beginning of this song sounds to me like a ringtone. The lyrics are not that good to, imo. 'MYLO XYLOTO' ERA Don't Let It Break Your Heart: Name one time you didn't jumped freaking scared by the way this song starts when you're playing in shuffle. You can't. I can't find in this song anything new that can be considered an important addition to MX. It's just a song, sitting there. Still good, but pretty meaningless. Princess of China: I just don't like it. Too much synths, too much repetitive lyrics, it's a classic pop song formula. Moving to Mars: I don't really like Chris' vocals at the beginning and it's really too slow. Pretty good song after the first half of it 'GHOST STORIES' ERA Another's Arms: I don't like the drums, I don't like the lyrics, I don't like that lady singing in the background. I like Chris' vocals in this and Jonny's guitar too (simple but good). True Love: I just don't like the way this song was produced, the drums (very similar to Another's Arms) and the lyrics too. The music video is also one of the worst Coldplay videos out there... Ink: I have mixed feelings on this one. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it, sometimes I forget that it exists... All Your Friends: It's just not a good song, imo. 'A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS' ERA Fun: Chris and Tove Lo voices are like angels in this one. The lyrics are good enough. But the song itself, it's not that good. Army of One: I don't like the beginning and the keyboards too. The lyrics aren't that good. It's a okay song. X Marks the Spot: Trash. A L I E N S: I liked this one a lot when it came out but gradually started getting sick of it. Maybe because of the repetitive drum loop. Something Just Like This: I don't even consider this a Coldplay song. Collaborating with the Chainsmokers is the rock bottom Coldplay could ever go. The song is not good, the lyrics are bad. Maybe the only thing saving it from complete disaster is the small taste of Jonny's guitar by the end of the song. Still trash. Miracles (Someone Special): Super bland lyrics and Big Sean (who the f*ck is he?) isn't doing anything there. Not a bad song, but not good either. It's "ok". PM: Why so many people don't like "Yes"? It's a f*cking great song specially if you consider "Chinese Sleep Chant" as a part of "Yes". It's a mark in Coldplay's discography.
21. Chris uses super strong wide range microphones. That's why it captured him singing from 2000 miles away.
22. Even better! We might have found where Harveytown is!
23. I agree with you in everything. Just a tiny note: Buenos Aires is Argentina = Spanish São Paulo is Brazil = Portuguese
