Too early to tell yet who won what, but it looks like Obama has the north & north-central states, and the lower southern tier states; Hillary has the central-south, New York and Mass.+ California. The delegate count has narrowed considerably thus far, so Barack's chances keep improving.. Republicans are getting delegates regionally as one might predict - Romney in the west and north plains, Huckabee in the south-central, and McCain in the southwest primarily.. Unemployment could rise further as the economy weakens US economic growth fell sharply in the last three months of 2007 as the credit crunch took effect, figures show. The US Department of Commerce says the economy grew at an annual rate of just 0.6% from October to December. Credit cards are to be withdrawn from 161,000 Egg customers who it believes pose an unacceptably "high risk". The internet bank is writing to 7% of its customers to give them 35 days' notice of the withdrawal. Cardholders will be able to continue making minimum monthly repayments on their balances but will not be able to spend any more after the deadline.
