Too early to tell yet who won what, but it looks like Obama has the north & north-central states, and the lower southern tier states; Hillary has the central-south, New York and Mass.+ California. The delegate count has narrowed considerably thus far, so Barack's chances keep improving.. Republicans are getting delegates regionally as one might predict - Romney in the west and north plains, Huckabee in the south-central, and McCain in the southwest primarily.. Earlier, McCain had a considerable lead, but that might be changing.. Please post more as progress is made!!;)

She was looking forward to being a mum and starting a family with Ed. She had turned her back on her party girl image and had turned over a new l…

Unemployment could rise further as the economy weakens US economic growth fell sharply in the last three months of 2007 as the credit crunch took effect, figures show. The US Department of Commerce says the economy grew at an annual rate of just 0.6% from October to December. In the previous three months, between July and September, the economy was growing at annual rate of 4.9%. The slowdown was triggered by a slump in building activity, which fell by 16.9%, the biggest fall in 25 years, as housing prices collapsed. "How the show has been allowed to stay on I'll never know. It's unbelievable that you can you make 200 shows." "If you add that up, you could watch it solidly for weeks on end, and if you put them end to end you could probably run them along the Great Wall of China," he quips. Joking aside, the 50-year-old is actually very proud of the show's achievements. 'Incredible music' "It is great to be on for that long. The real point of it, of course, is there has been so much incredible music which we have captured," …

Credit cards are to be withdrawn from 161,000 Egg customers who it believes pose an unacceptably "high risk". The internet bank is writing to 7% of its customers to give them 35 days' notice of the withdrawal. Cardholders will be able to continue making minimum monthly repayments on their balances but will not be able to spend any more after the deadline. The move follows a "one-off" review after Egg was bought by US-based Citigroup for £575m last year. In a statement, the bank said it was not demanding immediate repayment of balances or making any changes to customers' terms and conditions or their interest rates. The 35-day notice period starts on rece…

Sport hurts people. Rugby players, racing car drivers and boxers have all been known to experience the pain game. Well now it's time to add skiers to the list. Frenchman Yannick Bertrand could have a decent career if he masters the basics of the slalom - putting both legs to the side of the gate seems to be the gist of it. Sadly Monsieur Bertrand forgot the golden rule on this particular run. Our Gallic hero found himself skiiing straight into the flag with a ski either side of the pole. Judging by his reaction the consequences were predictably painful. I'd stick to the snow plough position if you take to the piste this Christmas. http://www.youtube.…

His team said the former North Carolina senator had decided not to continue. He lost Iowa's caucuses, came third in New Hampshire, admitted getting his "butt kicked" in Nevada, and came third in his native South Carolina. In the Republican field, ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is expected to drop out later and endorse John McCain. The withdrawal of Mr Giuliani, who came a distant third in Tuesday's Florida primary, would leave Arizona Senator Mr McCai…

Glamour: Anna Loginova has been killed (PICTURE SOURCE: china.com.cn) A glamorous female bodyguard has been killed as she tried to save her from a carjacking. Anna Loginova, one of Russia's most respected bodyguards, died of head injuries after being dragged along the road as she clung on to the car. The 29-year-old had worked for some of the country's richest and most high-profile businessmen. She also became nationally known for her eye-catching looks, and semi-n…

Stephen Smith was 'over the moon' at winning Saturday's jackpot but admittted it was overshadowed by a meddical cond- ition that could kill him at any time. He has a potentially fatal swelling in his aorta artery which could rupture. 'It's a ticking time bomb inside me. It's my wife, Ida, I worry for. I would give all that back if I could still be with her. There are no shops in the cemetery,' he said. A formal investigation is under way to find out what led one of the safest aircraft in the world to crash land at Heathrow airport this afternoon. Passengers aboard the BA38 from Beijing were reflecting on their lucky escape, after all 136 were safely evacuated when the stricken aircraft tore into the tarmac. Only three suffered minor injuries. The stricken Boeing 777 reportedly approached the southern runway of Europe's busiest airport at an unusual angle, plunging beyond the runway. It finally came to a halt 1000m from an aircraft carrying the Prime Minister and 25 senior business executives, including the Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson and the Olympic …
