From what I know it wasn't because its relation to the book, it was more the lack of things that do a good story. According to them was plain, predictable... There were even laughs in the part that the girl discovers she's Jesus descending.

 

I have neither seen/read the movie or the book. That's just what I heard. ;)

Yeah, I've heard that. Apparantly it's too choppy and leaves out important scenes, as well as had cheaply made flashbacks but oh well. I guess I'm not one to say what is a good movie from a mediocre one...as long as it keeps my attention :lol:
