The bling is for the lottery, if you look on the lottery button next to logout on the top of this page. You can buy tickets with the bling that you have and you'll be entered to win stuff. I think people have only won more bling so far though. There is a lottery every 3 days or so.

 

The 35 years old part is just an error I think when they were changing stuff around on the board. It should come back to normal soon.
