I Am Thinking That I'd Like To Speak To Chris Martin

 

I very much admire Coldplay, and believe the group to be one of the most talented and colorful bands around today. "Lost" is one of my favorite songs on the latest album, and I liked the solo piano version of the song performed at the Grammy Awards. I don't mind the Jay-Z rap portion of the song; but I do not like that Jay-Z uses the "N word." I am an African American, and I find the use of the "N word" disrespectful and ignorant, no matter who uses it. I am disappointed that Coldplay allowed this word to be used in one of their songs. I think very highly of all of the band members in Coldplay; and it was disappointing that they lowered themselves by approving the use of a word, that I feel is an expression of ignorance. I hope that they never do this again. If someone on this message board knows of a way to get this message to Chris Martin and the band, I will appreciate it very much.
