If we valued it more, oddly enough in one aspect it could save huge quantities of electronics waste from the landfills, and usher in a completely professional recycling of consumer electronics, but the down side would be massive mining efforts, with all the risks and then some. 7% of the world's electricity went into producing it from the mines a decade or more ago, wonder what the figure is today..
