^The pay in this bar gets lower and lower. And it's not because the band sucks. I understand the economy is bad, but if you pay shit, you'll only get shit bands. They'll bring a smaller and smaller crowd till bars stop hiring live music altogether. THey don't see the long view!

i am not naive to the world. i've studied and participated in politics enough to know that the world runs on some material philosophy. i may have to live here and participate in it, and accept the material things of my life will be dictated by this, but it won't get to me.

 

i used to get upset and it all used to feel pointless. it still kind of does. but i'll find my way someday.
