its so cool how this song is so eerie and a little creepy sort of, but soothing at the same time...its hard to put it into words, but amazing. :)

Hm...I can't completely agree with you...Spies is not their worst song but also not their best. But it's great. Coldplay CAN'T be NOT great.

Love it - probs my fave song. I agree it's eerie but soothing too. Like a Siren's song ..... Almost hypnotic.

 

Ever seen it live? They used sea-coloured lights that kinda rippled like water - fantastic.

In my opinion its the best track on Parachutes.

I love the way it changes from "They're all spies" to "They're just spies" its really uplifting, and reassuring. Kind of. Well, it usually sends shivers down my spine anyway.
