My bf was trying to buy a laptop off this guy on campus who was selling it for $600, but the guy didnt seem too interested and moved to Germany recently. Now since he still wants to sell it,he is telling my bf that he will send it to him in the mail.... stupid guy.

 

Any suggestions? My bf really wants this laptop and its a really nice one for really cheap.

A laptop would be lovely, but I'd still go for a proper PC instead - mainly because I use my computer mostly for audio production, and the sound inputs and outputs on laptops are shite quality. And a decent audio interface for a laptop would cost loads

 

laptops are just way too expensive anyway, and they're just generally slower than PC's.

 

but still, just to have one would be very cool. it would be good to have one for t'internet and for uni work, but they just cost way too much.

i really want a laptop for playing gigs live with...but the kind of quality one i'd need/want, would cost an arm and a leg...and it wouldn't be much of a gig if those were missing
